  • Terrific rendition of this tune. Anyone care to Dance?

  • I don't know what it is about this arrangement, but I keep returning to it over and over again. This so typical of that era. If it was an 78 RPM or on tape I'd have worn it out by now. It;'s definitely kept on my favorites. Just wonderful.

  • Wonderful- love it as a foxtrot. What a great band- and arrangement.

    Thanks

    -Bill

  • Is this "The Royal Marimba Band" the same band as in "The Hurtad brothers And Their Royal Marimba Band" by any chance? Been doing alot of research on the Hurtado Brothers but cant seem to find too much information on them. I have even posted 8 videos of 4 records of I have of this band.

  • love this, but not hear any marimba?

  • lovely Tommy Dorsey solo and muted Mannie Klein!!

  • Grzegorz, I never heard of the Royal Marimba Band before today, but they are just great. Also, the photos and art add so much to what you do. I'll just try to forget our flu epidemic in Ukraine and just enjoy your music.

  • I Love The Fox Trot Format Much Better. LOVE!!!! The Vidieo. Thanks For Posting.

  • Great! I only know of an ULTRAVOX Song from the 1980s with this title- I just can t figure out whether the melody really is the same, as it s such a different rhythm and arrangement! I like this one, though! :-)

  • @Talulah1997 x did a great cover of this song

  • Where do you find all these lovely, stylish pictures and prints?

  • Grzegorz - this would be super good for dancing a cool foxtrot. The art deco looking art works are sensational. Thanks!!!

  • Grzegorz, I don't know why my original comment was marked spam but here it is again.

This is GREAT! How could ANYBODY have tears in their eyes dancing to this

    SMASHING SONG!

Sorry G, this is just too UPBEAT for these lyrics. Now if I just bought one of those Caddies, I might have tears in my eyes...

    tears of HAPPINESS! :-)

  • Does anyone else hear the refrain of an old American

    singing commercial for Halo Shampoo?!

  • Exuberant orchestration and robust vocal, and the splendid fashion of the time. I'd love to see them walk in the streets with those dresses.

  • I always associate Marimba bands with Mexico. Thanks for this lively American version.

  • Sounds very like the Grey Gull house band.

  • Love it! And bemoaning the state of the U.S. stock market we are all dancing with tears in our eyes. Thanks so much posting this. A true classic.
