I didn't make this beef stew but I made another one using the slow cooker "spice packets" you find at the grocery store. It was epic.
I am usually away most of the day, so the crockpot is just perfect for me. I put it on at 7 or 8 in the morning, get home at 7 or 8 at night. Better dinner than you could ever get in a restaraunt.
And don't even have to rely on a woman to cook it for you! I <3 my crockpot.
You are the man!! I printed all your recipes from your blog. There's nothing like home-cooked meals! Hope you continue to post more of your cooking videos, thanks!!!
I like this. It's a good, no nonsense recipe. I've cooked for years and I've never been more disgusted than when I watched an idiot on another video 'try' to cook a pot roast. As for carrots, I peel mine. They seem to look cleaner. I've also been curious about Wondra flour and I think I'm gonna buy some. I've always used regular flour due to cost, but a large number of people have recommended it. Hmm, I think I'll have beef stew tonight! Rock on man!

I like the chocolatieness in this vid--that the other ones lacked.

I send you much luv, but I don't cook much. Can you do a quick "dummies" version for a family with limited time?

do you need to peel carrots? I always thought they had a bitter coating on the outside.

You are right! Always peel your carrots because the outer skin is bitter for sure.

What is your advice on adding green/string beans, corn and peas? Should I used frozen or canned?
