  • What school is that?

  • Actually, that is awesome. For a junior high school to be able to pronounce it that well..

  • These Japanese people speak better English than all the chavs here in the UK! :D

  • Why can't my school bell sound like that?! It's better than hearing an annoying high pitch sound.

  • @espada323 That bell is very common in Japan ^^

  • aw how cute!

  • Runchi :)

  • lunchi~

  • @tshenvideos lol you must be asian :D

  • This is cute XD

  • Wow, all this chinglish comments are dumb. I love Asian languages and Asians have the best moral and ethics. They work hard, that's why they will eventually rule the world!!!

  • 1:10 students are choosing SEEIR RUNCHESS XDDD

  • Not as bad as I thought it would be, to be honest

  • Fuck them gooks

  • For non-native speakers, they speak pretty good english. :)

  • there "ing" sounds like "ingu" hahaha funny,,, but nice job on speaking english but a little more improvement on pronounciation

  • I'm reading "Learning to Bow" and this is giving me a pretty good visual idea of Mr. Bruce's class.

  • lol

  • Haha. That was funny "She's my girlfriend".

  • Engels

    Japans

    興味深い。私はこの名前で中学校に行きました。あなたはこの学校がどこにあるかしてください教えてもらえますか?これは、アメリカや日本でです?どうもありがとうございました!

  • I want to eat "luncheeda" as well... Sounds pretty delicious

  • Such a shame that they're not even aware of their own country's history.

  • @theexpliotedforlife Im pretty sure they DO know there history but I dont think they even care honestly, they cant do anything about and it is the past. It already happened and they cant change the past but they can change the future which is hopefully what there trying to do :P

  • i feel like walking into that class and pwning them in english talking

  • soo cute :D

  • There is RESPECT. There is FUN. There is LEARNING. There are UNIFORMS. There is respect for the TEACHER. In America - kids dress as rappers and gangs, flip off the teacher, do drugs in the school, throw the books away, and most of all bully and even kill the few students who dress nice and want to learn. PLAIN SIMPLE FACT!!!!! America WAS a great nation......NOW AMERICA, with all its LIBERALISM and IGNORANCE is the toilet of the world - SAD TO SAY - The TOILET of the world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @IveGotYourChange So at what was America great? 'Cos I'm struggling to think of a time period when you weren't all killing each other (post-Revoution). Also, Thomas Edison kicks ass.

  • @IveGotYourChange I'm a high school girl from LA. Guess what? It's the same. Please refrain from posting things you're misinformed on, thank you.

  • @KittyKattyYukiLvr No - it is not the same. What utopia are you into? American schools are plain and simply total failures. I can bet you that you hear rap every day at school and those dressed as rappers with their pants falling off. That is the American culture today. Don't give me that fact that schools here are the same as Japanese schools. They may be in a small town in Idaho or Kansas where there is more respect but that is as close as they get. Good luck in college if you are American!

  • @IveGotYourChange I meant the students not the schools. I'm succinctly aware of our failing school system. Do kids dress as rappers, some do, yes. However, I've only seen one kid flip off a teacher and we were all shocked and he was removed. Nobody would throw books away, they're very expensive. Do kids bully? Yes, and teen suicide by bullying happens in Japan too. Many Americans are ignorant! Blaming it on liberalism isn't going to make it better magically.

  • @KittyKattyYukiLvr Japan's schools have problems too. The stress of examinations in Japan is a major social concern. I'm not in any utopia, I simply know from personal experience that American high schools aren't as horrible as you're making them out to be, also rap isn't as terrible either. Rap can be good or bad. It's dependent on the quality of the musician; you can't compare sociopolitical rap to N.W.A.

  • @KittyKattyYukiLvr True. Most of the bullying in Japan is not the result of someone not liking another but basically of those who do not learn or become dropouts. They are viewed badly in society and yes it is true that some have even committed suicide. Very true. But I still feel there is way more respect there than here. Now there are good schools in America but most would have to be in less crime-prone states or regions. The government can do away with the bad neighborhoods but its money!

  • @IveGotYourChange Also not "plain, simple fact", it is an opinion. Maybe, you should go back to school.

  • "This is JUlia. She is my Girlfriend"

    USO!!!!! haha

  • cut lesson

  • His English is way better than my English was at that age. I speak English fluently now, but I still have that hispanic accent. I'm learning Japanese at the moment; it's a fun experience. I want to get into animation and storytelling, so I'm trying to at least know the basics of some languages such as Latin, German ( I think Dutch is the name for some places in Germany), and Italian. Nice work, kids!

  • I worked in Tokyo at the now bankrupt Nova school. I loved it and have nothing but respect for the Japanese, they are so hard working and polite. One man i taught had to come after work (10-12 hours) and learn English for his job dealing with American clients. He admitted he was unenthusiastic about his enforced learning, but still worked really hard and always turned up. 99% of the people I taught were like that.

  • hahaha cute !!!

  • ohh... i wish my country have middle school -_- im probably in middle school.. but here i am in high dchool at nest college... im still 14 -_-

  • @kanashiiaki14 next i mean...

  • awww~ they are funny and cute :3

  • i found this extremely funny which lead to me laughing

  • Haha, this is cute.

  • My grandfather may have killed some of their grandfathers! He used to say, "you got to bayonet tojo when they lay on the ground, cause sometimes they ain't dead yet and they'll shoot you or stab you as you walk by."

  • I'm hungry, I need some runch. lol jk No offense. Good job. They are learning a new language and are good at it for their level. Some of these lazy American kids can't speak proper English and they grew up hearing and speaking it.

  • That was decent

  • Don't make fun of anybody you fool

  • I SUPIKU ENGRISH :D

  • @garethahaha アイ スピック エングリシュ :D

  • Even if it's not perfect, it's still good and they're just in Junior High School. Mine didn't even offer any foreign language classes

  • That was pretty good. :)

  • こういう年頃が一番やんちゃでかわいいw

  • No entiendo porque en cada pais quieren que aprendamos Ungles... -_- que monda pero ya almenos aprendi hmph

  • A biggest problem for most of japanese students to learn english is that some students care how other students look at him when he speaks english. but the thing is, it's not he is afraid that they think he is bad. it's other way around. He is afraid that they think he is good. In this case, some of the students could be jealous to him and start torturing him. Japanese student's torturing is really nasty. That's why most of japanese students would not try to speak english well for the purpose.

  • @GodBlessYou2008 Awww. >_< That's just sad.

  • they are pretty good :) a little work on the pronounciation and i'm sure they'll get there, looks like they are having fun XD

  • damn second one was best

  • omg i bet thats how a Japanese person would hear me when im participating in my Japanese class >.<

  • When the second kid says "They are talking...", it sounds like "They are dogging. They are having a good time." ;)

  • @MisterM2402 LOL

  • that was cute

  • They sounds like lil' scumbags

  • 他の子供は面白いです!

  • その子供は夢中です!

  • my grandma lives in japan, such an interesting country, very interesting indeed. would like to visit sometime

  • And some of you make fun of Japanese accent in English. I may have to remind you that you do likewise with Japanese words. I cringe when someone say Sayonara wrong or Konichiwa (Kon-nee-chi-wah). Even after 25 years, the game character Ryu cannot be said correctly either from Street fighter. It is not Lee-you, not rai-you, it is Ryu (L'yu) one syllable.

  • I remember learning English in Japanese class such as like this. Thanks to that, I was able to come to the US and had no problem interacting with the native people. The most difficult aspect of English was the pronunciation. Unlike JP, English does not pronounce all their letters in syllables. And the concept of silent letters always had me angry. It is very sad to see that American students do not learn other languages well like JP does. That promotes xenophobic behavior.

  • DEES IS JURIA. SHE IS MY GURLFRRIENDU.

  • @funfunland22 hahaha

  • This is why im coming over there to teach english!

  • they having a good education :) thats japan is one of the best technology sources

  • these japs will probably grow up to be porn stars anyways. Besides this is overrated, when I was in Japan hardly anyone know how to speak english, maybe could read, but not speak.

  • Omg. Is it only me or the girl at 1:30 on the far right is super pretty? ^^

  • LOL

    Cute.

  • 'She is my.. Girlfriend'

    I laughed.

  • I LOVE the second guy! He is hilarious!

  • the first boy was super cute !! *^^*

  • Etingu...kkkkk

  • I want a bell like that at my school. Then everyone wouldn't get freaked out so easily XD

  • these kids are learning English faster than I'm learning Japanese, good for them, I would probably get laughed at if I tried to speak Japanese in Japan, just like we sometimes laugh at how they sound when they speak English.

  • @TheEmokitty12 Of course we get laughed at, but at least Japanese are really impressed if you can say ANYTHING in their language. At least you're trying - but mixing English, Japanese and pictionary is surprisingly fun.

There's a lot of random smiling and nodding because neither of you know what you're talking about. :D

  • @dracorider I know, that's what I'm trying to say :3 and it does sound like fun ^^

I just hope I didn't say anything that offended anyone

  • @dracorider Hmm... well that's good to know than. :3

  • woooow sry but baaaad baaad english xDD

  • English teacher has to be a person from USA or other contries whose official language is at least English. I think this is very wrong way to learn English especially for Japanese

  • @mylifeiscomplicated1 why is that wrong? and that especially for the japs?

  • @mylifeiscomplicated1 nonsense :P did you ever think about how many countries on the world have to learn english in school? Not everybody can have a somebody as an english teacher whose native language is english... :P

  • @mylifeiscomplicated1

I'd rather learn english from a Japanese teacher, than from a USian, thank you very much. You people dont even put "u" in "colour" ! Barbarians !!

  • @karry299 Then be a twat and talk English like you have a carrot in your arse

  • Comment removed

  • no jackies nose is bigger

  • jackie chan teacher lol

  • Now ya gotta know how to dun speak the street language of english.

  • wow the japanese guy speaks english really good

  • Lunch = Ranchi

    hehe

  • Looks like a fun class! Just make sure to pronounce L's not as R's.

  • Whats with the clapping? LOLL I love it <3

  • Asians do SUCK in English.

  • @nico2710 Wrong. Not all. I live in Singapore and our 2nd language is English.

  • @SGboydevil Dosnt mean they speak good english, i live in Thailand and it was just ranked the second baddest when it comes to English...

  • @nico2710 This is my personal thought. I think in all asia countries , Singapore is the best in English.

  • @SGboydevil Maybe you are right

  • @SGboydevil I got a gf from Singapore . LOL her English is good but its still hard sometimes . The odd time I have to ask her what she just said over again . But yea all in all their English is good .

  • Just because of course they have an accent there . Lolol .

  • @SGboydevil

    no, Philippines is.

  • @johnzkeePW I see. No wonder i see some Philippines online games in english. Well i don't care which is country better . I just go with the flow.

  • @SGboydevil

there's also a disgusting truth behind it.

  • @nico2710

3rd Largest English Speaking Nation is in Asia, Philippines.

They use english in teaching in almost all school subjects, including History

  • @nico2710 Westerners suck just as bad at Japanese

  • @AnCafeNekogirl Never said they didnt. I find it even more puzzling that its possible to suck as much as they do in the most influential and most important language that exist. I mean its not like we learn Japanese in school's or see it in the media is it? Get it?

But they're pretty much rapes us when it comes to math and that shit so...

  • @nico2710 thats because math doesnt require anything to be spoken.. you can do any math problem without speaking. its all in the mind.. speaking another language requires the brain to handle voice control, grammar, pitch, tone, volume and so on.. very hard.. but its done instantly..

  • @TheTraveler12 Well duh... Still they suck more than they should

  • @nico2710 agreed

  • the 2nd boy is gonna grow up to be a cute boy

  • Learning languages not derived from Latin for English speaker and vice-versa is very difficult. I learned English as early as in 3rd grade and I'm sure these students in this video did likewise. The hardest thing I had to grasp with English was the pronunciation. We Japanese say things in syllables but yet English does not. Which is very awkward. And I know you English speaker are having difficulties saying things in Japanese too with syllables.

  • do you want a hard language ? go to learn portuguese :D

  • @xip09 I'm brazilian and c'mon, our language is not that hard XD BUT i must admit that english is easier than portuguese because of various grammars issues =)

  • class is a bit crowded..

  • I love this!!!!! bahahha my name is julia... bhahahhahha I am learning Japanese and can say I sound just as awkward.. or even more in class... hahahhaha

  • @yunru123 junior high is 7th,8th,9th grade :)

  • its really hard for asians to learn english, just like chinese is very hard to learn for americans...lol

  • the teacher is very handsome

  • runches are awesome

  • @Todesnotiz ^_^ I think your right about that because many European people speak a native Germanic language and for example English and dutch lies very close to each other but even I speak with a dialect (dunglish) But European or American people trying to speak an Asian language would also have this strange accent :)

  • lol, their english classes suck

  • Runch

  • i also have a sister named julia

  • i like the unison clapping! "SENO ::CLAP CLAP CLAP!!:: LOLXD

  • i teach international students english (mostly from asia) and my first language is not English...so I can tell you that English is the strangest language, in terms of grammar rules, it is unlike any other language. And this isn't a good thing. Very nonsensical, infact

  • @dendara100 English is a nightmare language to learn, partly because it's not a "pure" language. It's a fusion of multiple languages; Anglo-Saxon (Germanic), Latin, Old and Middle English, French, Norse, etc. Thus all the confusing rules and crazy spellings. And having a vocabulary of 250,000 words doesn't make it any easier. On the other hand, you can say more, and with more accuracy, in English than in any other language. I'm a native speaker but I've tutored ESL students so I can sympathize.

  • @markhinr very true. There are many more words, therefore more detail and accurate description of what you choose to talk about. But it being so complex, certainly makes it hard to master in terms of stylistic writing :)

  • @markhinr english is fucking easy, dutch is harder and german even more

  • @sm0keshell You say English is so easy, but you repeated an obvious spelling error 6 times on your channel page. You may want to correct the lines where you wrote "Your" to be "You're". Not to worry. That's a common error and one that spell-check doesn't catch. Here are some other common homophones: There/Their/They're, To/Two/Too, Where/Wear/Were/We're, Know/No,Then/Than, Write/Right, Weather/Whether, Peace/Piece, Sight/Cite/Site, Decent/Descent/Dissent, Knew/New.

  • @markhinr maybe my grammar is really bad, but we are still able to communicate normally... and like i said before german and dutch is harder

  • @sm0keshell Your English is, if not perfect, at least perfectly understandable. If you're able to speak and write in 3 languages, even reasonably well, you're way ahead of me. I can understand some written German and Spanish but can't speak either language well enough to be understood. As for Japanese, I only know konnichi-wa, arigato and a couple "naughty" words. : )

  • @markhinr haha:P

  • this is jurira

  • Sounds pretty good to me. I've certainly heard worse. Could easily understand them without reading the subs.

I do have to disagree with the top comment though, it's much easier for westerners to learn to pronounce Japanese than the other way around (not easier to learn the language, just the pronunciation) simply because most Japanese vocalizations also occur in western languages while the opposite is not true.

  • @megamarsvin ehm no

  • @megamarsvin OH i agree. They are doing nicely and at least keeping to the correct conjugations in the right places and such. I mean there are some letters the English language has that Japanese doesn't use.. not to mention JPNese language is a sylibary language and they're used to every letter ending in a vowel. JPNese also omits a lot more context than English does from sentences so I'm sure that makes things a little more complicated for them.to remember when they're speaking.

  • Wow I guess I should stop complaining about my school uniform i can't imagine wearing suits to school everyday -_-

  • @MrMilkaholic The school uniforms here in England are exactly the same as these. It all feels natural to me.

  • awwh Japanese accent in English is the cutest thing I've ever heard <33

  • Why is it whenever someone posts a video of a foreigner trying to learn English, a bunch of douchebags feel compelled to lecture us about how bad we would be trying to learn Japanese. Please, spare us your pathetic attempts to appear noble

  • @masanf

Because its true and you are a fucking idiot for calling those ppl douchebags. Fucking native english speakers, yeah its really hard for you guys oO

  • @masanf The online world is anonymous, masanf. Chances are if someone says something positive, it's because they mean it. Who would honestly care about making their username look good?

  • english was my favourite

  • she isa eating runchy wis ha friend

  • Bravo!

  • omg good! japanese people the english is very difficult !

  • Learning a new language sucks haha. You can actually understand what he's trying to say, you should hear me in french class, sounds like I'm having sex with myself.

  • Wow! xD But they are really good, though. It's very hard to learn a language.

  • would have been better with girls...

  • He is way better than other Engrish teachers.

  • Wow what a great teacher, his English is perfect.

    Student's aren't have bad either.

  • just wondering.. why is the letter "L" proununced lik ethe letter "r" ?

  • @xoxobrunette1 Because L is not a letter in the Japanese language. The substitute for it is quote unqoute "Eru" in Romanji.

  • @xoxobrunette1

but you gaijin saying " Japanese R sound is sound like L"

  • @sijotakane no not really. it sounds a little like the spanish r. in school im never able to roll the r like the spanish does so i do it like the japanese do and my teacher always tells me that i pronounce the r great lol

  • this is julia she is eating her friends, they are having scream with each other,,lol

  • this is julia, she is my girlfriend. haha so awesome

  • @eyesofforever love it! =)

  • Such beautiful engrish!

  • quality teacher there!

I life in holland, and we have shitty school

  • i find learning japanese hard yet engslih is the hardest to learn

  • @urbanvirgo pfft english is easy to learn lol

  • @lolzer93 If the Finnish Army were stronger, and had Finland colonized parts of each continent and have them the most prosperous in times of peace, I bet everyone would speak or want to speak Finnish for its neutrality in the world, its regularity, and the refinement to use 15 cases. There are perhaps other causes, but LOLkissat could have been possible.
