Heh heh - Murry Kellum (1963) reached 51 in the Billboard charts.
Also recorded by the Beach Boys.

do you mean the Billboard charts in the UK or the US ? I never heard that one here across the pond
In the US.
Apparently it was originally recorded by Jerry Woodward but I also have a version by the Trashmen - who were a US Surf band in the Sixties.
Later covered by Bob Luman John Denver (1974)The Kingsmen (1963) and Lyle Lovett (1996)
