Really good guys. One thing that always bothers me though is the "fishing" part. It is always the Holy Spirit who directs(fishes) you, otherwise Jesus might not want to "accept" this person, I don't care how often someone "accepts Jesus into their hearts". Unless it is under the absolute direction of the Holy Spirit it has no meaning.

Asking someone if they accept Jesus into their hearts, means nothing unless it is Jesus who accepts them. Am I wrong?

@nld1960 . I believe the Holy Spirit is our comforter and guide. It is God's will for every one to be saved and accept Jesus in their hearts. the Holy Spirit leads us to the best places to fish. Paul wanted to go one place but the Spirit told him to go another where he found someone ready to accept.

Jesus died to all humans. "whoever believes in him will be saved." John 3:16. "Believe in Jesus and be saved" Acts 16:31 has no preconditions.

@reynandvalenzuela Thanks for that, and you are right, it is the function of the Holy Spirit for direction. But you use that "accept" word so much. It is not until Jesus accepts them. Don't you think he has a little to say about it? You can accept all you want. We have forgotten this. We have forgotten about Holiness, repentance or the attributes of God.

There is only one way of salvation, we are saved by Grace through Faith.

Where is the "Jesus into their hearts" come from?

@nld1960 . "But WHOEVER (not selected) accepts/believes Jesus (who Jesus says he is), Jesus gave them the power/right to be children/saved of God." John 1:12

"Believe in the LORD JESUS CHRIST and you will be saved" Acts 16:31.

"Christ died for ALL" 2 Corinthians 5:14. Jesus accepts and have chosen all to be saved.

"Whoever has the Son (in heart) has eternal life. Whoever doesn't, does not have eternal life." 1 John 5:11-12

Acceptance = sins covered by His blood. -1 Peter 1:2

@reynandvalenzuela First word from the first public sermon of our Lord Jesus is "repent" and believe. No where did Jesus say: well folks, all you have to do is accept me into your hearts. Only Rev. mentions knock on the door and hearts. Jesus was not talking about a sinner's heart but the church.

John said Repent,God said, There is no salvation without repentance. Jesus said, Repent & Believe..the Gospel.

Then we say, just accept Jesus into your heart.We are talking about total regeneration.

It always amazes me that people live life for thier own selfish pursuits and out of ignorance make false assumptions about the legitimate need for a relationship with God the Creator. The FACT is there are more people including molecular physicists who present logical observable evidence for the historical, archealogical and sociological veracity of the Bible, then ever before.

The real reason for denial of the gospel of Jesus Christ is pride or some sinful behavior or attitude.

Religion in ubiquitous in young societies

because fear of the dark is ubiquitous.

Fear + ignorance = religion.

And religion promotes both fear and ignorance.

As societies become more informed,

as individuals become more educated

we see religion weakening and being discarded.

Isn't it about time for us to end the tyranny of religion?

I would support federal legislation to prohibit

public broadcast of religious propaganda.
