@chutes2narrow fuckin A! Totally agree, the kids these days think that xfactor or lady gag knob are the way forward, its unreal, MADCHESTAH IN THE AREA, WE ARE INTERNATIONAL, WE ARE CONTINENTAL!

Great band. Just uploaded a rare song by them which I haven't listened to since my youth called "Mad Pop". It's from the "Life is an accident" album. Couldn't find it on youtube. Watch it with the vid link watch?v=Qo9NlKoliE4
I never leave comments, but for this track I most certainly would. Great band, great track from a great album. I had a pigeon hole T-shirt for years, until one day I found that my ex-wife had turned it into dusters as it was full of holes. I did say ex-wife. I know life goes on, but I miss that T-shirt.
hands down the most underrated bands ever.i only saw them once and couldnt believe how tight they were live considering how complicated the music is.if you dont like this you should have your ears removed cause they are not working anyway.brilliant.timeless
fooking great band, played footy against the bass player in Ardwick 5 a side.. They were shit we were shitter. Dynamo Dickens. Beam me up is a stormer. Andy Hinchcliffes fifth. Aaah the memories happy, happy days.
Happy Daze Volume 1 - sheer class compilation! I got Pigeonhole , Bossanova, and several other indie LP's based on what I heard on the compilation. Still love this version of BIG best though!
I love this, I haven't heard it in years. This was a golden era for music out of the North. I wouldn't get too rose-tinted specs about this time though, Manchester had more than it's fair share of shootings and stabbings back then.
i'm 20 and have been brought up on this stuff man, not every 'youth' has shit, mainstream music taste. I know my shit going back to 60's. Get educating people man, I do everyday.
Well said stesh. Fine days. Madchester, all that - and across the UK, especially the north, the tasteful melodies and decent atmosphere. Mind you, you still had to look out for the "townie", or "casual" thick-as-shit cowards, even then.
Brings me back to the days of snub TV, getting stoned on a summers eve and just loving the tunes. Thanks for putting this up. I'd lost the old VCR tape with this on it.

@steshea "scum youth of today"? i've got news for you and those who gave you a thumbs up: even though you are able to appreciate good music from over 20 years ago: you have allowed yourself to become OLD. this means the "scum youth" WIN!!! and you better believe NFAD were considered the scum youth of their day.
@latexprem Thank you for revealing to these narrow minded fools, the role they are now playing in society. They have become OLD ,just as you say.Just as we had to look deeper to find the gems of music in our day(like NFAD),so too our children who choose to search today are met with their musical gems(tame impala, soft moon, animal collective etc.)Good music never rises to the top(thats pop)it must be delved into.BTW I'm 49

Thank you for posting!!! I'm remembering my big red Sanyo personal tape player stashed in the pocket of my parker and grey, rainy 5 o'clockish rides home from school on the upstairs of a double decker bus in which you couldn't breath for cigarette smoke. Those were indeed the days. Peace!
Saw the NFADs live in the Venue in Cardiff back in the day. Small venue - big band. Probably the best band I've seen live. Incredible energy that was never fully captured in the studio. If only they had had someone like Martin Hannett to produce them. Had to leave the gig early because this dumb blonde I was trying to __ didn't like them. Big regret that. She was a crap ___ too.
some lad in the 6th form did me a tape of indie stuff in about 1989/1990, this was the first tune. never looked back! I've had perfect taste ever since!
My band opened for them quite a few times over here in The Netherlands. Brilliant band, brilliant people, and they never failed to bring the house down. Thanks for posting this!
