@Rachella38 Alright. Please watch the entire series as I am sure that I have already dealt with much of what you have concerns with. Likewise, I have two videos on my channel that may interest you. 1. Is God responsible for sin. 2. Author of sin (clearing up confusion).
@Rachella38 Because I have already made videos about this and its too lengthy to post here in the comment sections. If you're not interested, then it would be wise for you to not make comments about things you are ignorant of. Not attempting to be mean, but your comments only reveal that you have not thought these things through and as such, the best course of action would be to remain silent.
@Rachella38 "Without Freewill you cannot repent of your sins."
That's a non-biblical assumption sorry. You should use the word of God as your foundation to any claims you make like that otherwise its just worldy logic.
Anyway, repentance and salvation comes from God and is not from ourselves (so its not of "our freewill") Eph 2:8-10, Acts 5:31, Phil 2:13.
@IAteBrownies Freewill is throughout the Old & New Testaments. God gives us a choice to accept His Son's sacrifice for our sins or to reject his sacrifice.
You mean you've never accepted Christ? That's freewill.
Or are you a Calvinist who believes you woke up saved one day, but you can't remember when that day happened?
@IAteBrownies Freewill: Deuteronomy 30:19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:
Ezra 7:13 I make a decree, that all they of the people of Israel, and of his priests and Levites, in my realm, which are minded of their own freewill to go up to Jerusalem, go with thee.
@Rachella38 why do you post these choosing texts when the video you are commenting on utterly destroyed arminian appeal to such texts? Did you even watch the video because those who have are wondering why you still use that argument.
@Rachella38 Nothing you have posted proves that men's choices are free from God and His sovereign predeterminations of what comes to pass. The texts you post just show men choose things and doing things. Calvinists agree - the question is "why" do we choose things and do thing? You have not proven free will.
@Rachella38 Repentance is a gift from God that we do only because God enabld us to and willed it in us. Act 5:31 "God exalted him at his right hand as Leader and Savior, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins." 11:18 ... "Then to the Gentiles also God has granted repentance that leads to life." 2Ti 2:25 "correcting his opponents with gentleness. God may perhaps grant them repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth," If you are unwilling to submit to Scripture thats not good
@KeithTruth So, God forces you to repent? Don't you understand that God is granting Gentiles the ability to repent & come to Him? Granting isn't forcing. Granting is allowing them too. Giving them the opportunity. It's a CHOICE to repent granted by GOD. But we can REFUSE too, just as we can anything. Repentance is a gift for us to accept or reject.
@Rachella38 Yes its a choice, no one disagree's with that, just not a choice free from God and His sovereign determinations of what comes to pass. The only reason we repent is because its a gift, he gave it to us as I showed you in the text, meaning we don't do it ourselves (freely apart from God). This is why you need to study the doctrine of total depravity. Men, in their siinful state, do not freely choose God or repent, it takes God to work in them for the good.
@KeithTruth A choice is ours to make or it isn't ours. Which is it?
We repent because we want to or we don't. Without freewill it's God doing the repenting or not. So then, how can we say WE have repented of OUR sins?
If men in their sinful state can't choose God & repent, then why do preachers stand behind their pulpits every Sunday preaching sermons Come to Christ & be saved?
@KeithTruth A choice is ours to make or it isn't ours. Which is it?
We repent because we want to or we don't. Without freewill it's God action of repentance. So then, how can we say when we stand before Christ that we had repented of our sins?
Also, if men in their sinful state can't choose God & repent, then why do preachers stand behind their pulpits every Sunday preaching sermons Come to Christ & be saved?
@Rachella38 Choices are ours to make yes but not free apart from what God has already determined since eternity. Again, you show no textsw with this comment only philosophy. Philippians 2:13 says God works in us to will. The only reason we will and choose and decide is because God is control of our discisions.
@Rachella38 Well right now you are denying Scipture because I showed that God works in us to will and the greek means God "self operates" our will. Thus, its not free apart from His decree. You can claim that God doesn't work like that but the Scriptures teach God IS IN CONTROL OF HIS CREATION. Why do you object? Not because of clear Scripture saying we have free will apart from God but because of emotion - thats humanism.
@Rachella38 God hates all who do iniquity Psalm 5:5 so yes he loves everyone in one sense (makes the sun come up and down for them) etc. But he loves His people in a different way. Joh 10:26-28 but you (Jews) do not believe because you are not part of my flock. My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand.
@KeithTruth The ability to repent definitely comes from God. I agree with that. This ability comes directly from the reproving work of the Holy Spirit (John 16:8). God, however, doesn't will us to repent. It is our choice to repent after the convicting work of the Holy Spirit takes place.
@Rachella38 No, you still don't have it right. God doesn't just make someone able to repent he self operates our will to conform with His determined plan that we would repent. Again repentance is a gift and we only do it because of God and Philippians 2:13 affirms God self operates our will for the good of his pleasure. This would include repentance. Your position is unbiblical and man-centered - when in reality God is in sovereign control.
@KeithTruth This is so funny with you calling my stance man-centered, when it's Calvinism that's man-centered. I totally agree with John Wesley's view of Calvinism....it's heretical & blasphemy. To accuse our Loving, Holy & Righteous GOD of ordaining SIN is pure blasphemy.
@Rachella38 Calvinism is soley focused on God-centeredness that GOD is in control, that GOD determines what comes to pass, that GOD is glorified in our salvation, that GOD is the focus and is worthy of ALL glory. Arminians like yourself believe in Jacob Arminias' man-centered view, that MAN chooses God by THEIR free will, that THEY win souls by THEIR free efforts, that THEY are free from God's determinations, that THEY choose to be saved, that THEY repent, that THEY do good works etc.
@Rachella38 1 Cor 7:37 doesn't help prove your point regarding repentance, the context was about marriage and virgins, which is completely off topic, That's a lot of twisting of scripture. I'm not arguing if man has a will, he does, is it a free will tho? No.
Also, I couldn't have repented without God working within me. Christ set me free and not by my will and power, John 8:34-36. To say it is from yourself is not biblical. Again, I ask please read the Bible before making your assumptions.
Without Freewill you cannot repent of your sins.
God gives us a choice, Choose Life or Death, by accepting Christ or rejecting Him.
How do you obey the Highest Command, To Love God with all your heart, soul & mind, without Freewill?

@Rachella38 Have you watched the videos preceding this one? I had just spent the last 30 minutes discussing this.

@fivepointbaptist Not yet, but how do you obey the highest command to Love God with all your heart, soul & mind, without freewill?
If God does it all fivepoint & Keith, then He's obviously the author of sin. That's blasphemy to accuse God of that.

Nevermind then. If you want to puff yourself up & act like you know more, than me from the getgo, then I'd rather not talk to people like you.

@KeithTruth The verses I've posted have blown Calvinism out the door, and you know it. That's why you haven't commented on them.
We have Freewill Keith or else you're accusing GOD of being the author of sin.
Without Freewill you can't REJECT OR ACCEPT CHRIST. GOD would be behind everything that occurs.

@IAteBrownies 1 Corinthians 7:37 Nevertheless he that standeth stedfast in his heart, having no necessity, but HATH POWER OVER HIS OWN WILL........
Now you've said publically that you have NEVER repented on your own.
You've said that it was GOD who did the repenting. NOT YOU!

@KeithTruth What? I've given you several verses. That's not philosophy, it's scripture that you've chosen to avoid them.
You said "The only reason we will & choose & decide is because God is control of our decisions."
Keith, then everything you do is God's decision, not yours.
But God doesn't work like that. He doesn't choose a few for salvation & most for eternal damnation.
