  • Nice solar panels. Just got my 3x6 solar cells and all my solar accessories from solar-deals(.)com. They have a huge sale! 4 days only. DIY solar panel kit $99. PV frames $39. Solar panels $129. Make your own solar panels and find all your diy solar products at solar-deals(.)com.

  • @SolarXpert I did too! They took MONTHS to ship and many arrived broken. Pretty cheap, though.

  • hey nice frame,do you think that with all the money u savin you could buy some wrenches to help u out looks like u might poke the glass with those needle nose pliers you got

  • @47mustang There is no glass being used in this video, thus no worries for poking anything but air :)

  • You're right, only two great persons ROBERT and MARK on the market right now, thank you both

  • Great job Robert and yes Mark has a great product for those who don't want to build their frames. Experienmenting is great. Keep it up. I am seriously thinking of using Mark as I have already studied his video before your video and it also is a world of great knowledge and resorce. Thank you again for educating us.

  • Am glad your are still out there I have also ran in to the same things you have came up with. The cost and also no one nows anything about low iron glass other than mark. I have also watch Mark and getting ready to buy some of his frames, I can make them but his is cheaper for me. And the time to get the stuff and cut it and drill the holes, plus the screw, it is best to get the frame from Mark. I still think it is going to be less money then buying a 63 to 80 watt panel. +tax refund

  • Hi this is mark. The nuts are lock nut's. You silcone the glass to frame and then add the corner bracket's and clip's. I also put silcone between the glass and the clip. Mark

  • what happened to thinking?

  • I see a couple flaws with your explanation. In order to slide a panel into that, you would need to take off one of the sides, otherwise the corner of the glass won't clear the brackets or nuts.

Also, if you are going fo a long-term installation, you should find some way of locking those nuts on, either a threadlocker, o locking nuts. Otherwise it can vibrate apart.

  • Correct, of course you'll have to take the middle L brackets off to put in the glass, however, my presentation here was to show you how all the pieces are assembled together, as the rest should be obvious after watching Mark's videos.

As for the vibration, according to Mark who has used this same frame for a couple of his panels, he hasn't had that problem at all. I agree it will help, but from his experience he hasn't had any problems with the frame.
