  • 0:52 - :57 Makes ya :)

  • Remember that prick JT?

  • The words: Here we are, face to face A couple of Silver Spoons. Hopin' to find, we're two of a kind Making a go, making it grow. Together, we're going to find our way. Together, taking the time each day. To learn all about those things you just can't buy. Two Silver spoons together. You and I together (We're going to find our way) You and I together (We're going to find our way) You and I together.
  • One of the catchiest TV theme songs ever.

  • Loved this theme song when I was a kid:)

  • That little spoiled fucker.

  • @ihavesexforhappymeal Shut up about that.

  • @027220

Sure thing, random rude cocksucker on the internet

  • @ihavesexforhappymeal I'm not the one who called Ricky spoiled.

  • @ihavesexforhappymeal And don't forget that.

  • Used to Love this show... the theme takes me back to another blissful time of dreaming.

  • That was a great show bring it to nick at nite

  • I've never seen this show before, but I have seen the Christmas special before. It was featured on this promotional DVD I get at f.y.e. that was free w/ another purchase I made. I thought it was a pretty good special. That disc also contained Xmas episodes of "Married...with Children," "NewsRadio," and "The King of Queens."

  • The guitar MADE this song!

  • I was born right when "Silver Spoons" ended its second season in May '84. But I was fortunate enough to catch the episodes when it went into syndication.

  • Add another one to the born in 79 club. I grew up in Seattle and I would give anything to live in the world of the 80s I remember. The funny thing is that tv just represents culture. And the world really did feel less crass, more family oriented, just a more decent place to be in those times. This isn't some alien world that's dead forever like some of us think. Lincoln said it best, we should strive to live to the better angels of our nature. We used to understand that and tv used to reflect

  • my grandman used to tell me Carlton broke his neck doing a head spin lol...what a trip to lay on a kid haha

  • Dude...Where TF is the giant train set?!?!? Wasn't there an opening sequence where father and son were riding on a gigantic train set through the house?

  • @JohnnyLemonhead I Think you're right! Maybe we're remembering another seasons intro and this one is the original.

  • @JohnnyLemonhead yes there was, they had a train track through their house, perhaps another season, but it was there.

  • Wasn't there an episode where E.T. tried to break into their house at night one time.

  • Hard to believe that little Ricky is going to be 42 next year.

  • Erin Gray!!

  • Wow.

  • @tbstef dvds are good for newer things but old shows something is missing I need to find Doc Brown and go Back to the Past of 1985

  • when I was a kid I would have given up my left arm to live in that house for a day.

  • i'll never forget watching this show when the 89 quake hit, ah memories

  • in one episode ricky was watching skin flicks!

  • Maaaaan I miss scripted television sitcoms with real actors. Families would literally sit down and watch TV together and in the same room too.

  • I need to go back in time. I miss the 80's show. never missed this show. Now 36 time sure flies

  • Ok seriously we need a time machine stat! God those were great times!

  • Erin Gray was so hot back in the day. Gotta go watch me some Buck Rogers next.

  • Do you have any idea how much money those silver spoons would be worth now? Rick had the hair, man- I guess we all had the hair back then- never watched the show but I had just grown out of these sit com mind- control things. . .

  • Silver Spoons > The Suite Life on Deck. ;-)

  • Really miss the old TV shows!!! They do not make them like the used to anymore.....sooo sad! How time has changed, it was good back then.

  • @kofirefox88 that is for sure they don't make show like they use too. i wish they would bring them back , so we can stil enjoy there tv show .

  • "This took me all the way back to the 6th grade! Thanks for posting!"

  • i never watched Silver Spoons.we onnly got 2 channels in the 80's (abc and cbs)we had an antena.

  • @curvy71 I had an antena sometimes, too, but definitely got more than 2 channels, hahaha. Where did you live? I was in the Philly area.

  • @xxoxia i lived in Southeastern Ky.

  • @curvy71 I live in northeastern KY.

  • @JeffroTV oh really thats cool was you born and raised there?

  • @curvy71 I moved down here when I was around 17 or so.

  • @JeffroTV i was born and raised here in Southeastern Ky

  • man!!!!!!!!!!! this bring back so many good memories the world used to be good back then

  • Erin Gray - still in love with her.

  • @rp78100 - Hhahaha, I think the last thing she did was Friday the 13th part 9 ( Jason Goes to Hell).

  • this song is so bad it makes me wonder why i watched this show-- oh yeah erin gray

  • Born in 74 I so remember this show. I wanted that train! And Erin Grey AH!

  • @Kelski1998

im 36 now and i remember SS too. They were SUPER SUPER RICH ....Ricky had a thousand dollar a week allowance wtf

  • 80s tv was the friggin best

  • wow this so long ago ricky was so young here

  • Butler HAS to be black.

  • If I recall he was a business associtae of Edward Ricky's Dad?

  • @pflo99

Thats not the butler, thats the lawyer!

  • @pflo99 He wasn't the Butler, he was Edward's Lawyer.

  • @justindean123456 Yeah, well, so are a lot of popular trends today, so go fig.

  • Wow what memories.I was the same age as Ricky and thought he was just such a fox lol (a term from my generation lol)

  • Sure does bring back memories...best era in time - 80s. World was different and a much, much better place. I was born in '77 and miss the shows - WOW!

  • RIP Gary Coleman!

  • @MishuTaste

LMAO Alfonso Ribero was on this show (aka Carlton from fresh prince) not Gary Coleman!

  • @john5246 I know. I was just kidding. Gary Coleman did make a guest appearance on this show once. It was that episode when Ricky & Gary ran away from home.

  • @john5246 actually, Gary Coleman did guest star as Arnold Drummond in a cross over episode or two- but Alfonso was the MAIN character of color.

  • I remember Rick Shroeder this was from when he was a child star but how I've heard of him was through CMT when Brad Paisley did a video with Alisson Krauss.

  • i used to always wanna ride on that little train! great memories.

  • Joel Higgins thought he hit his acting peak, in "Best of the West". He was glad to be wrong with this show, because it lasted longer.

  • They need to bring back the old 80's sitcom songs into modern television. I guess it's just nostalgia anymore. Nostalgia=cheesy? I dunno anymore I'm too fucking old to care.

  • happy 40th ricky

  • holy shit, just hearing this makes me feel really old.....LOL

  • I remember the episode where Ricky got busted watching porn.

  • haha! strange!

  • I love the little guitar riff at the end.

  • Erin Gray was so freakin hot. Even before puberty I realized that.

  • You must of meant his name as RICKY. He is still alive as Rick.

  • Leonard Lighfoot= Token black guy

  • bless u! :)

  • where's alfonso ribiero?

  • That Alfonso character didn't darken this show's door until season 3. This theme was from season 1.

  • Alfonso wasn't in the credits until later seasons. watch?v=cRBjw5KIOKM

  • takes me back to when I was a kid..thanks for this!

  • Brings back so many memories. Wow the world was soooo different.

  • @TheOtherView that is for sure .

  • @TheOtherView i wish our world was like this?????

  • I just love this song lol

  • even though i was born in 77 i loved and miss the 80's and its tv shows

  • @jkav77 amen bro, '77 baby here too. We're part of this generation also, and luckily, we have a lot of good memories of that time even though were were in elementary school.

  • @jkav77

^5 man.. I was also born in 1977 and those shows are just classic. I remember watching DoubleDare too... Nothing will replace the good ole days!

  • @jkav77 hey i was born in 79 so you got an 80's ticket as far as I'm concerned! You are as much a product of that golden era as any of us late 70's and 80's babies! Just be glad you ain't waring a snapback and or sporting skinny jeans today like we did way back when! that was our time they wanna copy us! lol

  • lol,, new paris hilton bff intro,

  • lol yeah I just saw that on mtv and I'm like what show was that on

  • I loved this show.....I thought Erin Gray was so hot

  • damn I was only 8,9,10 when it was on and I thought she was "hot" too

  • gosh they took this off of on demand so i figured ill be on youtube...love this show and the theme song

  • is that the lead singer from the foreighners...hahahaa

  • soft rock

  • You can tell they were on a real low budget when they started because the entire opening is all from the pilot.

That means after they got their network order for more episodes, they couldn't spend the cash to re-edit the opening.

Then again, maybe they just didn't want to; but that's highly inordinate.
