Maynard played with the band live from time to time. If you ever herd Opiate then you might know the live tracks on that album where recorded at the "Jelly loft" in LA. It was not unusual for Green Jelly, Tool, or The Melvins to join each other on stage. But that doesn't mean that Maynard was ever part of Green Jelly.

An umlaut only means that the letter is pronounced how it is said, i'd if it is over O, then it is pronounced "O" as in "Jell-O" or Motorhead." ii don't see how that makes it sound like an O. not to put them down, good band.
