Amazing video!!! How did you get the T1i to work with istopmotion? Is there a special setting on the camera? I've tried everything. The program finds the camera but that is all.. :(

i really like this. i started using stop motion briefly last year at college and i'm going to give it another shot this year. towards the beginning where the thought clouds pop up with the girl model in the bubble, i assume you added this effect in final cut? how did you layer it? i need all the techniques i can get :)

When he was thinking about his girlfriend (with the hot pigtails) it was a double blue screen/ triple stop motion combo. I bluescreened the thought bubbles (paper I cut out) and compiled them at a really low frame rate, then shot the images of his ever-so-lovely. Chroma keyed the thought bubbles out, and chroma keyed the gal out. Then simply place the bubble layer on top of gigglepants thinking, and place the chick layer on top of that. It's pretty easy! I use Final Cut Express.
