  • What a wonderful song. No matter what is your belief is this song takes you to the divinity. Hindus will claim this song has been derived from reference Kirshna and Muslims will say it is reference to hindus leaving their religious. Both could be right. My interpretation of "Chaap tilak sab chini" means forgetting once appearance in God's love. Song goes into forgetting everything that is your ego and it has nothing to do with one's religion or becoming Muslim.

  • i dont believe people are such loosers to deviate from such an amazing song to such petty issues..art has no religion....i is a sublime form of divinity that takes us to another level where things like religion and nationality do not exist..i m not favouring india or going against pakistan but its a request to all d looser talkin bout hindustan pakistan n hinduism n islam here to please share their contact no's..and talk these trash things....let us enjoy d music n its divinity .......assholes!

  • I notice that the comments herein have rabidly degenerated to Hindu-Muslim mud-slinging fest. Let's try & remember that we originate from the One Creator - call Him Allah or Bhagwan. If your religion brings you closer to the Creator you are a better human being, it is your egos that distances you from Him.

Let's sit & enjoy the words, music & sheer beauty of this rendition. Salaams to all.

  • @SuperSuperman600 hey read my comments in context dingbat then post ur idiotic comments.

  • hindavi is a fore runner of khadi boli urdu, not to be confused with hindi, which is a sanskritized version of kadi boli urdu, invented in the early 20th century as a xenophobic reaction to the popularity of urdu.

  • @supersitara

where do you get your cinderella stories from? hindi has existed from 17th century! Kadi boli is the modern spoken hindi! Urdu had remained as urdu and was a result of mughals hoisting it on the public with their forced conversions!

Moghuls who assumed their grndiose name were actually the slave dynasty ( Babar was the main one who inherited the estate from his turkish/iranian masters) ! he was a descendent of the Ghulam vansh ( slave dynasty)he was the first to use Gun Powder

  • @Psyche1954 As is well known, little knowledge is worse than no knowledge. Babur was not a descendant of the slave dynasty, rather he defeated Ibrahim Lodhi the Afghan, at the famous battle of Panipat. The slave dyansty occured during the 13th century AD, which was replaced by the KHilji dynasty. This was three centuries before the advent of Babur. Babur was a descendant of both Timur and Chengiz Khan.

  • @PakistanDefenceDTNet

Thank you for correcting my genealogical mistake! The fact remains that they all were still unwelcome invaders!

  • @Psyche1954 Khadi boli is in fact the Urdu of today. Hindavi, Khadi boli, Urdu Zubaan Mualla, Hindustani, these are all the same language, based upon a proto prakrit grammar, with words borrowed from farsi, arabic, turkish, etc. I challenge you to show me one example of Khadi boli literature written in the devanagri scrpit, or the use of sanskritic rather than persian words. The fact that Urdu novels, poetry, was written centuries before their 'Hindi' counterpart should be enough proof.

  • @PakistanDefenceDTNet

I am just quoting from Wikipaedia

"Khariboli is believed to have initially developed contemporaneously with the neighboring Awadhi and Braj dialects in the 900-1200 CE period"

certainly NOT a xenophobic creation to belittle urdu!

you can believe in what ever you want or what ever is taught in Pakistani schools! By no stretch of imagination is the educational standards of Pakistan hailed as the desirable achievement of academic excellence!I am not jealous :-D

  • @PakistanDefenceDTNet Kari Boli has nothing to do with Urdu/hindi that are much later creations. Khari boli is the forerunner of Hindustani that mixes indo-aryan/sanskrit based prakrit with turkish, persian or arabic words though not as mush as in Urdu and less sanskrit than hindi. Urdu and Hindi are strictly Literary languages. The general public still speaks Hindustani. Hindi word has been derived later from Amir Khusro's Hindavi for khari boli. Urdu also comes into existence in the 19th cent

  • All previous literature was written in Persian which was the state language under the mughals and prior. Urdu/rekhta gained vogue during the dying days of the empire mostly patronised by the nawabs in Awadh and delhi but was only adopted as state language by british. If you look at the words rang rajewa, aakash, chunaria, pagaria, saagar, basanti etc. are all indo-aryan/sanskrit based prakrit words. The grammar, language structure and a lot of vocabulary of Hindustani is derived from prakrits

  • This music is to relieve the stress between the two major religions......

  • Going all the comments made earlier by several friends ...It seems the purpose of this site and upload is defeated. I hope everybody understands that music is beyond any debate on 'ism or religion. Religion is made by us but Iswhar, Allah, God, this university is beyond our imagination or knowledge. Music is a way to show our affection to God. So let us listen and enjoy the moment and leave all our ego as whoever we are we are nothing with respect to the vastness of this universe.

  • sooooper. nice kalaam

Kudos for Abida Parveen jee for this excellent performance! As for Amir Khusro he was a versatile genius of his time whose work continue to inspire millions around the world.

  • wah wah legend

  • This the deepest state of love, where a disciple goes behond body and mind,(Man and Maya) and feels that he and his Kamil Murshid are ONE in love and ready to merge in that oneness Who is almighty God. He unconditionally surrenders all his material obejcts(whatever expensives they may be) because he knows that "Sat ki naav khewatia Satguru Bhawsagar Tar aayo" .. Sant Meera Bai. A bundle of thanks for this beautiful upload and May Abida Live Long.

  • hazrat amir khosro,s kalaam BEAUTIFUL and if any of you havent read hazrat amir khosro,s THE STORY OF FOUR DARWESH please read it

  • is this song is written sy amir khasro...

  • seems like it as they have left their trade mark..khoosro word in the song.

  • Yes this was by Hazrat amir khusro....he was one of the inventors of classical music in sub contenent......

  • Thanks Sir

    Biswa

  • Amir Khusro was not a classical musician.. he was the Inventor of Qawaali.derived from the word Qual. Classical Music was invented wway before Amir Khusro was born

  • Khusro was not the inventor of classical music. But he definitely introduced Khayal and taraana. Also he modified the traditional percussion instrument pakhawaj to make the current form of tabla.

So definitely he did make important contributions.

  • fizaya1 chaap tilak means symbols of religions (in general ) Hindus specifically. Chaap is a block printer Tilak is symbol on forhead.

here poet is saying I lost my religion when I locked eyes.

  • this seems to be in bhakti ras.showing great love towards god..and she is just super...

  • wat chaap tilak mean???

  • chaap is a stamp used to have in fingers just like modern RING AND tilak is Tika on forehead.

Poet says: (a great love with GOD) all my honorable things are nothing as soon as i am in your way .

  • no one listen to utuber420 plz. he has an agenda and he is not pakistani.he is trying to promote hatred.i am a pakistani and i belive that this sufi heratige is shared by india and pakistan equally.

  • OMG ppls why cant we all just get along and enjoy the music mann

  • Test tube you are not pakistani, u r a paki shit...which we all do everyday..Thats u..

  • test tuber...get a life and let peace prevale....plz

  • It has nothing to do with Pakistan or Hindustan.... Please don't pay heed to Utuber.... he doesnt have any religion... he is just a looser

  • Moron! Research before you write. Ameer Khusro served as an ambassador of Hindu-Muslim unity during his time. His Hindu or Hindwi poetry, has been very popular. In his introduction to Ghurra-ul-Kamal, Khusro has written, "A few poems that I have composed in Hindwi on inter-faith harmony, I have made a gift of them to my friends. I am a Hindustani Turk." He was 100% Indian. Pakistan did not exist then.

  • wow. are you indian? and you're calling pakistan dirty? lol.

  • I am an Indian and I dont call a pakistani as dirty.... Manu u should realise that we come from the same origin ... and if you want to spit on them some part f it will fall on you aswell...

  • utuber420 is fucking twat,he is a knob head from some fucked up madrasah,a real cock jockey.

  • so us Indian Muslims who live amongst Hindus are traitors to Islams?

Yes, since you're one to judge that, not Allah (swt).

  • u twat islam cannot be kept in geographical boundaries and since when idiots like you can tell who is what? there are more (and better)muslims in china try making it muslim (so called) state they will tell u what to do with your twisted ideas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • sidya1; being indian american hindu, i can say that indian muslims are one of the best, leaving aside recent bad incidents by few bad individuals, indian muslims have give a good name to islam and i am proud of my countrymen. do not worry what other say, they want you to drag you down in the name of islam..

  • @apateldmu what's 'Hindustani Turk'???

  • @apateldmu neither did India!! it was the Delhi Sultanate which was led by turks and afghans and after tht Mughal Empire. know ur history before u spew statement tht are not based on facts.

  • @sabihusmani The Delhi Sultanate existed in Hindustan - its anglicised version is India. Read carefully: Khusro has written, "A few poems that I have composed in Hindwi on inter-faith harmony, I have made a gift of them to my friends. I am a Hindustani Turk." He refers to India. First improve your reading and comprehension before jumping to History. For your information, Mughal empire was a very small episode in the long and majestic history of india, so no need to get all high and mighty!

  • @apateldmu ok wow why dont you get ur head out from where the sun dont shine! The Delhi Sultanate was an empire! so was the Mughal Empire which lasted from 1526 to 1857!! -- you call tht a small episode? wow u r crazy! Khusro did talk about harmony between the religions but he himself was extremely devoted to ALLAH while respecting other religions. I can read and comprehend but you obviously dont! to understand Khusro you have to go beyond the thought of borders you!

  • @sabihusmani

what happened before 1526? did the main land India just appear from the depths of Indian ocean to accomodate the brave muslim invaders?

may be Allah just created the land to help Babber! India is lot older than 1526!

  • @sabihusmani Mughal, no mughal, Islam, no islam, what bakwaas, enjoy the song you moron islamic fundamentalist

  • @apateldmu, Chap tilak saab cheen li ray mou say nayna mila ee kay ... Amir Khusrow was a disciple of Nizamuddin Auliya and a simple translation of the above line is...Chap = cast , tilak = hindus still put that red thing on there forehead ... Nizamuddin Auliya has taken away the cast and the mark of hindus just by looking into his ( there ) eyes.Khusrow is telling us that his murshad is so good that he can change one's religion just by looking into there eyes..so no interfaith its change faith.

  • @apateldmu indian or pakistani, both are irrelevant. he was a muslim and that is what really matters !

  • is tht a boy?

  • This song was written by Hadzrat Ameer Khosroo of New Delhi, whose father was Turkish and mother was an Indian princess. He is considered by many literary experts to be the greatest poet to be ever come out of India. He wrote in 9 languages, some poems with upto 4 languages in the same poem. Other famous poems are "Aaj rang hai, he maa rang hari....", "Zehaale miski, makun taghafil, ..."

  • offensive - pl delete
