Every one has an opinion so I'll give you mine. It sounds fine chord substitutions or not. Just make it yours if you want it to swing or not that's your decision.
sounds great! but, constructive criticism here, the strumming pattern goin' on the background sort of sounds like a metronome. but other than that, fantastic, great tone.
Yes indeed the beutiful classical nylon resonance speaks for its self, & the last epiphone slightly higher in tone speaking its excellence wrapping things up.
@RivasRonald Two great comments. Thanks for that, and I'm glad you liked the video. I felt pretty honored working with those two on this project. They're damn good musicians. Thanks again.
I am quite new to jazz music.. A have a query - does a typical jazz listener recognize chord progressions in the improvised section.. (He obviously may not know the chord names).. Or is it that the listener just enjoys the improvised music without understanding where the musician is (in the chord progression)..
Thanks. Only speaking for myself, I used a small stereo microphone plugged into my laptop using Audacity for audio and a flip video camera to record my portion.
@1millionthcustomer what? really? is all the video recordered with a microphone plugged into a laptop? that's increbile it's seems like a real recording made into a studio! you're great man!!
@AlbertoBrandl Thanks. I was pretty surprised at how good the sound came out too (considering my simple recording setup), but it helps having some pretty decent gear, too. That Line 6 Amp is a gem.
It was a nice simple version. Some suggestions are to add more jazzier chords. The rhythym should be more swingier. The improvisation would sound nice with some arpeggios. Also, you should give it more feeling by vibrating the notes. Keep it up!
I like the sound of your sheraton! I have the same guitar and normally play it on a Roland Blues Cube 60. Did you ever try your sheraton on an acoustic Amb? Just curious:) Thanks for the video!
Thanks for that comment. No, I haven't tried the sheraton with an acoustic amp, yet. I don't actually own an 'acoustic' amp, but I have a Fender 15W amp that has an Acoustic setting I'll try.
And I thank you. The honor truly is all mine. You are fantastic musicians and I'm proud to have the chance to play music with you. This video could not have happened without you. Great performance my friends.
Thanks for watching and for the comment my friend. Yeah, I got hung up on another video project I was doing, so I took a break from that, bought this new guitar and went to work on this collaboration project. Glad you liked it. Thanks for the *s

I have a dilemma over this song,
apperantly
the chords I use are:
Cmin7, F7, Bbmin7, D7
and
Am7b5 D7 Gmin7 Gmin7
its in G minor
but I have seen different variations
is mine the "right" one?
fenderbender92 2 years ago
@fenderbender92 It switches between the major and its relative minor, regardless of which key you make it.

beautiful tone and nice playing, however, a lil swing in the chords would be lovely.

This is really cool, could use with a little vibrato on the improvisation though. 5*

you should switch up the rythm guitar a little, the same strum pattern makes it boring
