Let's face it, all magic tricks are an ILLUSION, they are for the viewer's entertainment just as a movie or book is. If you want to know how it's done it's fairly easy to find an answer, but when you say something along the lines of "I know how this is done so it's stupid and I'm better then everyone else" it's just plain arrogance at it's best!

Just because you know how the trick is done, doesn't mean your better then everyone else.

This trick revealed:

Underneath the platform are mirrors so that it appears that there is nothing underneath the stage but in fact the is an escalator where the elephant is raised... Bad trick!

this is an illusion? - to be honest I could think of at least 3 ways from the top of my hat, how they could have done this.

I had alot more problems figuring out W.Houchins Thread.. and that says more about this trick, then it says about thread.

Come to think of it, you've got a good point. The only difference between this and a normal "magic" trick, is that this one involves involves a much bigger object than usual.

Trap doors!underneath the elephant there is an elevator thingy is moves him unterneath the stage and then the smoke covers the hole

sorry if this ruins it for you but it is done by showing you the elephant then when the smoke etc goes up they put the elephant in the back and use special mirrors to make it look like he is gone then they put the smoke etc up again ad move the elephant back into place < thats one of the ways to do it i dont know if there are others but still good trick to catch the unwary

i dont think mirrors vanished the elephant, there's smoke there so can't be mirrors. they had about 6 seconds to walk the elephant around the back behind the back, maybe another way

only an idiot would miss that the underside of the platform is COMPLETELY MIRRORS! The elephant is inside the platform as as the cloth inflates, a stage under it rises up with the elephant on it.
