  • i don't know a cofessional comes bouncing down a hill near the town you're supposed to be the new parish priest in i'd be thinking this is not the place for me.

  • @sweetamyleigh its *Avocca

  • @sweetamyleigh Really. That is cool. I've only seen like a few episodes, but enjoyed them. It would be fun to see the Irish countryside.

  • @jlc19702 Its gorgeous. I was on holiday there last week and it is wonderful!

  • @channysocute Channy my dear, it sounds pretty cool. Someday I'd like to visit that and Ireland itself.

  • Is Ballykissangel a real town/village in Ireland? I'm from America. I enjoyed the show myself when it aired here.

  • My father Martin Doyle is in the opening credits, he's buying sheep in the old Aughrim mart! ages ago now!! r.i.p

  • hmm that opening scene is luggala estate its not a private road in fact you follow the route of the bus you hit dead end and its along way from avoca lol

  • I just visited Avoca(thanks to the Wicklow Tour) the other day. Beautiful village!

  • this is part one of the series starter and damn did i love it..recently had the pleasure..reminded me of sooo much for the lil ride it gave me .. lol. loved it. thanx

  • Oh, Peter looks so young and adorable here. Wasn't it Assumpta that called him a 12-year-old?

I feel like he hadn't quite fleshed out the character in this first ep. But he settles nicely into the role after that.

  • Yup , lovely. :)

  • I almost remembered that my Mom watched Ballykissangel, when I was little.

  • loved this series soooooooooo much been to Avoca (Ballykissangel) a few times stunning villiage.

  • @misskennedy06 I went there last year in august and took lovely pics of the RC Church and had lunch in Fitzgeralds too !

  • I really liked this series a lot... but I have to say it stopped being a lot of fun after Season 3. It just started feeling too sad... too much change and depressing stuff for me to really enjoy it. Monarch of The Glen did the same kind of thing too after Season 4 or 5. A show just doesn't feel the same after heavy events, deaths of beloved characters, break ups and so on. I much prefer the early episodes of both shows.

  • I know. After Hector died in Monarch of the Glen. Darn Useless. It did become rather a sad series. I haven't seen more than a few episodes of BallyK and the Christmas special. So, I'm not much of an expert.

  • Indeed it is , I was lucky enough to spend most of my childhood there (:...saying that I'm still only a teenager lol

  • @emo3534 You are very lucky, were the residents as nice as they are in Ballyk ?

  • Imy grandparents live in avoca :D

  • HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAH it would be blissfull irony for confesional booth to have caused a car accident. i LOVE this show

  • I am blessed with a local library that ordered the series dvds.

    Love Ballyk!!!

  • has anyone been to the real place in Ireland

  • yeh its in wicklow

  • Don't forget that we first meet Kathleen & Siobhan here.

  • liam and donnel are my life <3<3<3<3<3<3 i just made mii's of them on my Wii. they are so funny! i miss fr.peter so much!! asumpta was nice to. nieve and sean dillion are just grrrrr....... i shouldn't say!!! well anyway, I LOVE BALLKISSANGEL!! <3<3<3<3

  • i think you also see kathleen in the background?

  • I think Liam had that cap on every episode of every season

  • My friend gave me the first two season's on DVD As a gift. I watched them and immediately bought all the rest. I don't believe this was ever shown on USA TV, and that's a shame. It's a great series. Very well written and many the times funny.

Year 3 brought a shock, but we quickly moved past it to other stories.

  • thanks... I'd forgotten how many characters we meet in this opening

  • first
