This was the only movie I've ever walked out of.. I was seven years old and the cyborg guy scared the willies out of me. Two hours later, I was pleading with my Mum to 'let me have another go' and to take me again. She declined, and I didn't see the whole flick until about 25 years later..
I saw this trailer in the theater and i still remember how fucking cool it was. I don;t even remember the 3-d movie we saw after (not Kaws 3-d or Spacehunter), but we talked about this preview with all of our friends afterward.
"AND THEY WILL DO ALL THIS FOR YOU... IN 3-D." Fuck yeaH!
I thought this movie was bad-ass back in the day (I saw it on TV back in HS, I even have an old Fangoria with an article about this movie in it)! Unfortunately, Full Moon did a 4th rate cheezy/corny rip-off of this back in the early 90s.
That's because they saw what a steaming pile of crap this was and decided to do something else. I'd be willing to bet they blew all of their effects budget on the cheeseball 3D effects.
At least one of the vehicle props was recycled for use in Knight Rider, that much I remember.
Someone should really make the movie this trailer is about, because METALSTORM sure as hell wasn't it. METALSTORM was boring as hell! (Maybe the guy who edited the trailer should have re-edited the movie.)
@IronChariots No, the movie I'm thinking of is more like Metalstorm or Mad Max. Sorry not giving you much to work with it's all I remember watching as a kid lol.
when we saw this movie it rocked hard, i remember drinking like a 6 pack of old muskogee getting ready to play D&D with my badass group after watching this...we had made our own world based off this movie and mad max
@IronChariots Thanks. It's been so long.. I know I got those confused. I used to love those cheesy 80's films. I still have VHS copies of Condorman, Superfuzz & Cherry 2000. Now all I need is Megaforce.
I saw this at the Crossbay Cinema back in 1983 with my friend Joe and it sucked big time. Lousy 3-D effects. Watched the movie and couldn't beleive we wasted the money and a good Saturday watching this piece of s**t.
The only thing we wanted to destroy was the entire cast and crew of this lousy dumb ass movie...
I went into the cinema to see this and was a bit pissed off that my fleapit wasn't showing it in 3D. Made all the things flying toward the screen look really stupid!!! And why didn't Jared Syn not get destroyed at the end???? This was actually the first in a trilogy of films but this one performed very badly at the box office so they never made the other two!!!! Shame, as I quite enjoyed it in a guilty pleasure sort of way hehe
i remember space hunter. molly ringwald and peter strauss. i don't remember if that was in 3-d though. check out megaforce, or how bout "coming at ya" or "treasure of the four crowns". so bad it's good.
O hell yes!!!! Man thank you for uploading this!!!!
<an, this brings back so many memories, dude I remember I was like 6 years old watching this movie in my parents upstairs bedroom. This movie is fucking awesome
I recall like it was yesterday when I saw this trailer in front of Jaws 3 in 3D. I especially remember seeing Baal aim his mechanical arm towards the screen. Thanks for posting this!
Must be seen in 3D to be properly enjoyed ;)

I saw this at the cinemas - THE HORROR......I think i still rate it as the worst Sci Fi film ever. Partly because it was in 3D

I would be surprised if they spent over $50 making this.

More like "challenge your patience". I love cheesy low budget schlock but without the 3D, I barely made it through this one awake.

cheesy movie but, in the theater with 3D glasses on, his reach into the audience was epic.

IronChariots: Movie I saw in the 80's. Similar to Metalstorm. Can only think of snapshots of movie maybe you can help me out.
1) Rats were in it (not main focus but were in it)
2) Believe there was a necklace or chain some guy had with 3 bolts on it, think they were bolts
3) Some guy got impaled near the end of the film from some other dude pushing him onto a post (not falling on it, but pushed into it)
4) Some guy had an eye patch.
That's all I remember, hope you can help me out, thanks.

If the main bad guy in this movie is named Jared-Syn, isn't it kind of a spoiler to subtitle it "The Destruction of Jared-Syn?"
