  • Must be seen in 3D to be properly enjoyed ;)

  • This looks pretty badass.

  • This makes my heart bubble over with joy!

  • A classic

  • Hmmm, I bet Jared-Syn is destroyed in this movie.

  • And they'll do all this for me?.... In 3D?

  • I saw this at the cinemas - THE HORROR......I think i still rate it as the worst Sci Fi film ever. Partly because it was in 3D

  • I would be surprised if they spent over $50 making this.

  • More like "challenge your patience". I love cheesy low budget schlock but without the 3D, I barely made it through this one awake.

  • this is bad

  • Back when it was actually worth keeping those damn glasses on for the entire movie...

  • looks awesome

  • IN 3D!!!

  • Still better than Star Wars prequels.

  • cheesy movie but, in the theater with 3D glasses on, his reach into the audience was epic.

  • is the Slayer song based on this?

  • I'd rather watch the Mad Max trilogy :)

  • Kirk .vs Gorn on a loop is more entertaining.

  • When I was watching this, I kept thinking some of these shot looked a little off. Then I saw it was in 3D.

  • lol this mvie looks cool

  • california crap

  • i think all these apocolyptic 80's movies are about to come true... IRL...

    heh heh oooOoo....

  • This was the only movie I've ever walked out of.. I was seven years old and the cyborg guy scared the willies out of me. Two hours later, I was pleading with my Mum to 'let me have another go' and to take me again. She declined, and I didn't see the whole flick until about 25 years later..

  • this movie chalanges my puking reflexes

  • 0:19, Look, kids! It's Bull from Night Court! (Applause.)

  • "In a future where men wear thigh-high boots..."

  • I saw this trailer in the theater and i still remember how fucking cool it was. I don;t even remember the 3-d movie we saw after (not Kaws 3-d or Spacehunter), but we talked about this preview with all of our friends afterward.

"AND THEY WILL DO ALL THIS FOR YOU... IN 3-D." Fuck yeaH!

  • This looks pretty fucking crap-tastic!

  • a mi me gusta este genero aora las nuevas son algo violentas

  • GWAR will kick SYNS ass

  • Worst lasers ever.

  • I thought this movie was bad-ass back in the day (I saw it on TV back in HS, I even have an old Fangoria with an article about this movie in it)! Unfortunately, Full Moon did a 4th rate cheezy/corny rip-off of this back in the early 90s.

  • Should have been called "The Escaping of Jared-Syn".

  • Hollywood no longer takes risks making weird ass movies like these ones from back i nthe day.

  • @FiswaT

That's because they saw what a steaming pile of crap this was and decided to do something else. I'd be willing to bet they blew all of their effects budget on the cheeseball 3D effects.

At least one of the vehicle props was recycled for use in Knight Rider, that much I remember.

  • Someone should really make the movie this trailer is about, because METALSTORM sure as hell wasn't it. METALSTORM was boring as hell! (Maybe the guy who edited the trailer should have re-edited the movie.)

  • This is awesome!!!

  • whoa, its in 3-D!!!

  • It's got both Bull and Jack Deth, I've got to watch this one!

  • IronChariots: Movie I saw in the 80's. Similar to Metalstorm. Can only think of snapshots of movie maybe you can help me out.

    1) Rats were in it (not main focus but were in it)

    2) Believe there was a necklace or chain some guy had with 3 bolts on it, think they were bolts

    3) Some guy got impaled near the end of the film from some other dude pushing him onto a post (not falling on it, but pushed into it)

    4) Some guy had an eye patch.

That's all I remember, hope you can help me out, thanks.

  • @turboteabag08 Escape from New York?

  • @IronChariots No, the movie I'm thinking of is more like Metalstorm or Mad Max. Sorry not giving you much to work with it's all I remember watching as a kid lol.

  • @turboteabag08 2019: after the fall of new york

  • @baronbuttox Yep, finally found it shortly after posting that comment. Thanks for the reply.

  • Yup I saw this trailer when I went to see Jaws 3D. Man they would never show shite like this in the theater today LOL.

  • All 3d movies were/are cheesey.

  • when we saw this movie it rocked hard, i remember drinking like a 6 pack of old muskogee getting ready to play D&D with my badass group after watching this...we had made our own world based off this movie and mad max

  • mad max wanna be

  • I saw this on television when I was little. I thought it was the most brilliant movie ever made.

  • 0:45 - they well exploit they're most mysterious powers *SQUIRT*

  • I saw this in theaters. It was in 3D and really cheesy. Why do I remember Molly Ringwald in this movie too, or am I mistaken?

  • @disconnexions That was Spacehunter: Adventures in the Forbidden Zone. :-)

  • @IronChariots Thanks. It's been so long.. I know I got those confused. I used to love those cheesy 80's films. I still have VHS copies of Condorman, Superfuzz & Cherry 2000. Now all I need is Megaforce.

  • @disconnexions Me too! Wasn't old enough to see Jaws 3D so my brother & I were taken to see this instead :)

  • I saw this movie in theatre when I was in the 4th grade back in 1983.I also remember it was in 3-D.

I realize there were many "apolcalyptic-future" movies made during the early years of the "eighties".

  • IN 3D!!!

  • it's coming out on dvd in august. don't think it will be 3-d though :(

  • This movie has more cheese than Hickory Farms.

  • I saw this at the Crossbay Cinema back in 1983 with my friend Joe and it sucked big time. Lousy 3-D effects. Watched the movie and couldn't beleive we wasted the money and a good Saturday watching this piece of s**t.

The only thing we wanted to destroy was the entire cast and crew of this lousy dumb ass movie...

  • If the main bad guy in this movie is named Jared-Syn, isn't it kind of a spoiler to subtitle it "The Destruction of Jared-Syn?"

  • I went into the cinema to see this and was a bit pissed off that my fleapit wasn't showing it in 3D. Made all the things flying toward the screen look really stupid!!! And why didn't Jared Syn not get destroyed at the end???? This was actually the first in a trilogy of films but this one performed very badly at the box office so they never made the other two!!!! Shame, as I quite enjoyed it in a guilty pleasure sort of way hehe

  • nothing guilty about it

  • My Dad took me to see this back in the day-

I don't remember it as much as I remember "Spacehunter" which came out the same year-

83 was a big year for 3D space movies...

  • i remember space hunter. molly ringwald and peter strauss. i don't remember if that was in 3-d though. check out megaforce, or how bout "coming at ya" or "treasure of the four crowns". so bad it's good.

  • YYYYYYEEEEESSSSSSS!

  • One of the best bad movies ever!

  • O hell yes!!!! Man thank you for uploading this!!!!

<an, this brings back so many memories, dude I remember I was like 6 years old watching this movie in my parents upstairs bedroom. This movie is fucking awesome

  • I loved this movie and still do. I'm still waiting for Jared-Syn to be destroyed though.

  • I recall like it was yesterday when I saw this trailer in front of Jaws 3 in 3D. I especially remember seeing Baal aim his mechanical arm towards the screen. Thanks for posting this!

  • i'd love to see this in Imax 3D

  • Nice! Too bad Jared Syn never actually got destructed. In 3D. :)

  • Haha, yeah! That title lied!

  • Great movie !!!! Thanks!!!!

  • I can't believe no one has commented on this. I saw this in the theater when I was a kid. Great post!

  • Thanks. :-)
