Thanks! Check out the link of the IT file I put in the notes section on the right if you want the "high quality" version.. you'll need an IT player like WinAmp or whatever.
This is great. Respect. Also respect obviously also goes out to Chris Hülsbeck for making the epic original tune. I loved making music on the Amiga myself. Great.. 5 stars.
There's a part from Turrican 1 in there that I made from scratch, trying to make it in the Turrican 2 style, as well. That's later in the song, though
The amount of channels was used to simulate Chris' soundtrack versions of the songs. I wanted to show what the DS was capable of playing back in the homebrew software. I wanted to prove that DS Homebrew was capable of playing back more than a 4-channel MOD.
Hey! Sneaky transition you had to the Turrican 3 intro there at the end! Overall nice work, I love the opening to Turrican II. I gotta learn how to play that bass part... and was I hearing some samples from the Turrican soundtrack CD in there, or was my mind just playing tricks on me?
Very perceptive. Some of the samples were taken (read: painfully filtered out of) some of Huelsbeck's Turrican soundtracks. The snare at the end was actually pulled out of the TFMX sample file of Turrican 3's Intro. So was the Orchestral hit. Both were processed like crazy. The tom and the clap samples were taken from the soundtrack version of Turrican 2's intro. Yeah. Lotsa fun. :)
The drums are too loud because the levels are messed since the audio was down-mixed to mono. There are surround/stereo effects which are going on which don't work well when down-mixed.
Chris Huelsbeck is one game composer I cant forget. Why? Super turrican melodies. Thoses melodies are considered classic and its in my head like solid steel. Games back then owns todays game by far. Alot of hardcore gamers would same the samething too.
hui that´s really nice!!!!!

Congrats on the great version btw. I got most of Turrican's tracks from C64/Amiga music remix sites.

Mist, ich hatte den Titelsong mal als .MOD-File, aber die Festplatte hat den gefressen.
Ich find Trackern teilweise immer noch interesanter als .WAVs zusammenzupappen.
