Sha-wing! Great vid. That must have been a hoot. How much fuel did you burn? I guess you have to be careful on how far you go with the the throttle WFO.
@tudizzle HAHA thats funny then... because my friend has a stock apex and goes to revelstoke in b.c. every year and goes through 6 feet of powder without getting stuck. Your friend with the apex should invest in floater ski's it'll keep your sled up and doesn't plow snow which keeps ever sled from climbing hills and from going through powder.
@tudizzle Good play on words and ya floater ski's help by keeping you ski's up if your not other wise catwalking up on through... look at the video apex turbo has balls... insane
Great video and thanks for posting. Im from Michigan and have never rode a sled in the mountains so it appears to be very slow speed compared to what we do here on the trails but god damn it sure does look like fun. I can only imagine how much gas they eat up working so hard all the time. Again nice video!!
with your awesome ability to judge snow depth from your lazy boy you should work for NOAA! LOL
your actually right...it was more like 6 feet....but I was worried some internet know it all would try to call me out...so I shorted the real snowfall by a foot.
@mmiguy2306 Not even close to 5 feet? It may not look like it from the ski's because he's trying to keep the front up like a real rider so he don't get stuck. That's definately 5 feet maybe even more so don't judge snow from your coach mr. knowitall
@GearHead1625 Hahah Yep, People always go by what they see once, I seen TWELVE brand new Xps gettin pulled out of the mountains, and around 9 get stuck half way up a mountain =P
@tudizzle Look its not the sled that maters, its the rider that matters. if you put a pearson whos never snomobiled before on any brand of mountain sled and put them in fresh, deep powder, then there gonna get stuck! You seem very skilled at riding, and thats good for you! But to be honest its an immature, and ignorant thing to say one brand is better then the other. each brand has its goods, and bads, it just depends on your riding style that determins what sled to get. thats my 2 cents.
@JoeythePope Not trying to be a brand loyalist or any thing, but Arctic cats have less blown motors, and less breakdowns in general when compared to ski doo. Lol just sayin =)
@Parker565 Lol might be on average, but I have seen a couple of loyal cat owners switch brands because of clutch and drive system problems. I personally have never owned an Arctic Cat and never intend to. Had 3 Yamaha's, 2 Ski-Doo's, and currently have a Polaris and my next sled is gunna be another Ski-Doo. As far as i'm concerned they are the most reliable sleds on the market.
What type of helmet camera did you use? The quality is excellent. Love the video, great stuff!

I'm confused does he go through the 6 feet of powder or does he have floater skis and go over?
