zack, the reason why you don't see a tornado in L.A. is because the only place where tornadoes happen in an area called tornado alley in the middle of the united states. the reason why they only form in fields is because mountains disrupt the wind that they are made out of. therefore stopping the tornado altogether. i live in the center of tornado alley so i know a lot about them.
