I think this 2nd return this past Monday, the debut SUCKED! One of the most horrible returns ever... I think this return wasn't much count either. the first one when he intrupted the ROCK, in 1999 was the best.. WWE just sucks so much now days so Chris Jericho won't be any count now either.. But back from 99 to 2003 he was great!

this jericho is dated, it just doesn't work anymore, the newer "boring" one took him from midcarder to bonafide main eventing legend. Jericho couldn't even be taken seriously beating rock and stone cold in one night for a unified championship with this gimmick, it took a change to something more snarky and truthfull to propell him to the status he so rightfully deserves. Here's hoping for a slightly newer updated version of that persona come monday.

@Trasher723 He wasn't taken seriously at all, that's why he touched gold for 3 months in 02 before crashing and burning back to mid-card, because he was a cowardly heel stuck in his outdated "ayatollah of rocknrolla" face gimmick. Jericho always has and always will be a natural heel, his "truth" gimmick did wonders for his career, and properly set him for life. If you want a fan pandering "sing along with the crowd" Jericho, then so be it. Just know it's a waste of his natural talent to do so.

Chris Jericho's most entertaining and generally acclaimed moments weren't when he was calling steph mcmahon a hoebag...it was his war against HBK, because he used his character in such a dispicable way to foil HBK's righteousness, it worked because it was dramatic and both sold their personas perfectly. This wouldn't work with a face jericho.
