I'm thinking of getting this. I had Area 51 on the PS2 and loved it. I'm geting the PC version, so is there a difference between console, and PC versions? Also, are the problems in the reviews noticable, or are they being typical critics and noticing every single little detail?

Yeah, I thought they were the same game. Area 51 is free. It doesn't look nearly as good as this does in the screen shots.

Nice vid, btw. Gamer's standards are so much higher now. This vid looks exciting but I know this game didn't get great reviews. I just picked it up at Big Lots for $6.

I know what you mean, man. I once spent five minutes shooting an "explosive barrel" that didn't blow up. I gave the "okay" to my troops to go in and seccure a room, one dude walked THROUGH the barrell and the barrell flew into the wall, and exploded, killing my entire party.

Not trashing the game.... but it keeps locking up on my gaming machine that runs Crysis, Bioshock, and others ok. Can't get past opening screen, lowest screen settings, sound settings, etc... still no luck...

they're saying clear because there was nothing in the next room - not because of the detonation

f5tohell was saying that the squadron already were confirming that the room was clear right after they detonated the explosive. in real life, you have to wait after the door to explode THEN investigate to see if the room was clear. these guys said as soon as the door exploded. not tryin' to start anything, just gettin' that out there. this game still looks amazing however
