  • This abandoned wind farm is located in Ka'u on the Big Island. It was replaced a larger facility down the road. The owner has plans in place to vacate this area.

  • Great video! After the government stops funding this fairytale energy, this is what we're left with. Maybe Obama should have visited here on his vacation in Hawaii.

  • Why is this this way? Why haven't they been removed?

  • Important video, mahalo for your work!

  • Our point is that they are NOT removed, the land is NOT retrievable and the destruction is NOT reversible. One BIG difference to some other alternative energy sources is that it is NOT necessary to desecrate land and destroy entire islands in order to acquire power to feed another island. While they claim CAPACITY of 200 mega watts, actual PRODUCTION is 10 - 20% of that. Oh, and add the fact that they are expecting to charge the ratepayers & taxpayers for the cable. It is NOT pono. period.

  • What's your point? Wind turbines are bad because they should be decommissioned and it wasn't done in that island? Ok how is that different from every other energy sources?
