AFAIK the microkorgXL has MIDI out.

means, in theory, it could actually send notes 2 the electribe, given it has MIDI in.

i think it has, but i also think, if youre sick enough to do this shit on one synth, you're sick enough to do it on two.

sorry if I sound noobish, but did you use the Electribe to record the microkorg? Im looking to dive into analog eletronic music making and i wonderded if the Electribe + mircoKorg would be enough, or do I need ableton aswell to record/loop the microkorg?

@Kiniatha- You need a DAW( digital audio workstation) as well! If you look closely at some point you will see a laptop on the right side of the split screen running music software. You need that to record to. The video might just be a live performance though and not a recording session. In that case you don' t need the laptop.

This is electronica at its most vital and beautiful. What a warm interpretation of a great Kraftwerk track. Apart from the dodgy distortion, this is synth perfection and has to be one of my most listened-to tracks of the year. Love it, and I’m extremely jealous. I was lucky to hear the original Kraftwerk song a lot later than the Coldplay version. Lucky, because I know so many people who have expressed how they tolerate the death of Kraftwerks original. It just never sounds the same to them. I on the other hand am overjoyed for discovering Kraftwerk :)

@406mt I'm not sure if you're thinking of the ESX which is a sampler, in which case, I'd assume so. The EMX (blue groovebox) is a synthesizer with drum samples. All the sounds except for the vocoder and the Electric Piano sound are coming from the Electribe MX. Denkitribe's probably multitracking the vocoder and the E. Piano from the Microkorg in Ableton Live.
