I'm working on my own version of this but I am having trouble getting realistic results. Do you happen to know the parameters you were using for this test?
I'm wondering... what approach are you using to create this? I read somewhere that context-sensitive l-systems are a way of creating realistic city-roadmaps... I'm wondering if you're using that in python to get this done. Any chance you'll post the script somewhere?
Yeah, I was also reading this paper by Pascal Muller, and meditating on it.
I know L-Systems, but I have no idea what self-sensitive L-Systems are, so I used my own method to generate those street networks.
I will definitely release the script, but when it will look more like a finished product. For now, it is mostly a GUI-less bunch of python methods and classes.
OMFG this is awesome, are you able to model a square portion of a street and have that multiplied throughout the city with your script? so a whole complete city would be completely generated? with the exception of a few hotdog cart placements ^_^ lol
is it possible to program cars and humans to go down the streets and the building actually lokking hd?

@wivy1
What do you mean by your "own version"?
The parameters for this video were the default I guess.
Simply change the parameters, and see what they do by regenerating the network.

I'm working on generating buildings that would fit in there at the moment. I have many ideas, but not so much time available...
