The instrument doesn't care how it's held. I've known a couple of people who've had damage to their right hand, who play "upside-down accordion". And I know a couple of accordionists who like to flip their instrument over and continue playing, just to impress people. The only reason for the usual position is that most people are right-handed, so it make sense to play the keyboard with their right hand. But the instrument doesn't care at all.
Haha I'm so surprised to see this on YouTube I guess almost two years after it's been recorded. So my name is egin, and as far as the upside down things go, I know. I picked this little thing up on a whim and figured it out myself. When I found out it was upside down I was already very comfortable playing that way so I kind of just went along with it and didn't correct myself. I know it's "unprofessional" but I didn't see a point in fixing it, it doesnt seem to make much of a difference. My ban
Who cares how he holds the stupid thing? The accordion is an instrument; an apparatus of plastic, wood, and meta, and whatever else; its goal is to make music- and he is. If a dude makes music with a saxophone, who cares if he happens holds it wrong, or with his hands switched, or whatever. Close your eyes, it will still have the same effect.
@ruzasp If he was lefthanded even when playing the accordion, he'd have a special accordion, made for lefthanded people, and normally it would be a consequence of not having a finger in his right hand. I don't think so!
