I think the woman in the beginning of the video needs to go back to school, and learn that a compass is a tool used to tell you which direction you are going, and that it is not a distance measuring device. A map with a legend is the correct tool.

@AVP830 wrong. Vectors are a combination of direction and distance, which can be used in physics to the locate a position. She gave a distance and a method for heading to create a vector. If a BP were 25 miles north of the border, but incorrectly traveled a 25 mile north vector they would wrongly arrive 50 miles north of the border, making her argument valid. Your argument is intended to display some kind of playful opposition but really it just makes you look two dimensional.

I few months back going through El Reno OK...Got to the bridge on the south side and there was a sign that men were working, looked official, men clearing grass...One lane closed on a 4 lane to get folks down to funnel into 1 lane..Topped the bridge and there was a sherrif's SUV and 3 other cop cars at the bottom...They were getting people to pull over..Why ??? ..One of the cars was unmarked parked in between 2 marked cars ??? Did not stop to ask....

If a BP were 25 miles north of the border, but incorrectly traveled a 25 mile north vector they would wrongly arrive 50 miles north of the border, making her argument valid. Your argument is intended to display some kind of playful opposition but really it just makes you look two dimensional.

So you think that these checkpoints are 'illegal'? What about the seat belt inspection checkpoint that police officers set up to make sure that you are safe when you are driving. Same for sobriety checkpoints to help search for drunk drivers. All of these are instituted to keep you, your loved ones safe from those who mean to cause harm. Same thing at airport, random security inspections. Or what about security checkpoints in general. Trust me, they are very well indeed needed...

I few months back going through El Reno OK...Got to the bridge on the south side and there was a sign that men were working, looked official, men clearing grass...One lane closed on a 4 lane to get folks down to funnel into 1 lane..Topped the bridge and there was a sherrif's SUV and 3 other cop cars at the bottom...They were getting people to pull over..Why ??? ..One of the cars was unmarked parked in between 2 marked cars ???
