  • blimey!

  • Wonderful song by a wonderful singer! So robust! It amuses me, though, about the attitude towards marriage way back when - that once you're married, that's it. No affairs, no carousing, no nothing. How times (or public attitudes) have changed!

  • in my opinion his is the best performance for this song his character acting just made the character of alfred doolittle all the more believable although im sure others have also had success making this great character come alive

  • i listened to this the night before my ...big day. Gave me some inspiration.

  • I could say Lerner and Loewe actually owned it, but I won't. 'Take' here is meant as simply the way it was done, whether on its first time outing or a later cover. But, not worth hassling over eh? Let's just hope Stan finds a new younger audience who will come to appreciate his all rounds theatrical genius.

  • Thanks for the upload! But..."Stan's take"? He owns this song - he originated the role of Alfred Doolittle and sang it first in London, on Broadway, and in the film.
