@sTeadFasT96 I know right??!! When I was first introduced to the IPL G37 I didn't think to much of it, 348 HP wasn't too impressive when you compared it next to the standard G coupe at 330 HP. But Im starting to see that all the minor performance parts they added really increases the entire driving experience of being a high performance vehicle. It still needs a V8 or at least more horsepower if I'm going to drop that much cash on a car in this particular segment, but yes, its growing on me too

I have a question, what was this car designed to compete with? is it something like cadillac cts v coupe or something? I have never seen an ipl infinity before...

@alex14469 It's the slightly more performance-oriented version of the G. In a lot of ways, it's like the Performance Package (ZHP) on the 2003-2005 BMW 330i and 2004-2006 330Ci. But BMW doesn't offer anything like that anymore (The closest is the M Sport Package but it doesn't add anything in the way of engine performance)

I think it's the predecessor for something like an M3 competitor, a more hardcore G, to come sometime in the future

I guess you can say its like a BMW ZHP package only because performance wise it doesn't really compare to an M3 considering the fact we are talking about 348HP vs 414HP. but in all respects to Infiniti, they just recently established their performance division about 5 months ago so IPL here there to stay. This is more like a Test bed for when they introduce the revised IPL G37 engine when the IPL M, FX & G37 sedan debut.

@Johncarson9113 You just argued my point for me. I was just putting it into perspective. I also didn't have enough characters to put into layman's terms the fact that IPL stands for Infiniti Performance Line and that it's there to compete with BMW M Division and Mercedes' AMG. I believe they're planning on releasing something closer to an M3 competitor, or maybe not, but nothing has been confirmed except that most, if not all, Infinitis will be offered in an IPL version sometime in the future.

My point was that although the IPL doesn't come on par with the history of the M-series its still nevertheless a rival to other high performance competitors in the market like AMG, M-series & S-line even though it lacks the power given to many of its rivals. Then again the Audi S4 only has 333HP which I might add is standard on your basic G37 coupe, so not much can be said for them either however Audi does have an extensive performance division
