"Jaws" is the film title. Not the name of the shark. Sharks don't have names, do they? Anyway, I prefer the original sound. The newer version has more realistic sound, but I grew up with the dramatic effects.

well technically you are both right. in the original version (which i have) he says "smile you son of a bitch." boom. however in the sucky ass remastered version he says "smile you son of a.." BOOM.

The 30th anniversary edition provides the original sound-effects, just go to the sound menu and choose mono

Ever since u sent that reply about the original sound i bought the 2 disc anniversary edition. And there is no sound menu. All there is is a audio menu which features english and some english DTS which gives no sound and 2 other languages. And its STILL the re-masterd verison and not the original.

NOPE the 30th anniversary has absolutley no sound menu. All it has is play, audio, subtitles, and scene selection. When i go 2 audio it gives me english which when played is the re-masterd version. english DTS = no sound and 2 other languages that are foreign.

Yes, the 30th anniversary edition I bought has the original mono sound effects. Its under the languages menu and you pick English 2.0 Mono. Once you do this, go to the scene where brody is shooting at the air tank and you'll notice the gun shots sound different.

The other stupid assholes who comment on this page probably didn't do this.
