I've been riding a polar for about 8 months now and I must say it's been the greatest board I've gotten under my feet thus far. I've gradually been moving towards some shovs and tiger claws and other tricks and was wondering if the polar is suitable for this type of riding or if there is another sayshun board you would recommend for tricking,

Rogue or Polar for both DH and free ride? can anyone help?

@MaxiMooMa i;ve been riding the polar for about 8 months and it's been amazing for slides and shovit tricks. I do have cracks on the tail but that's from a drunken excursion and curbing it hard into a sidewalk. I was very sad :( I would honestly recommend the polar for just about any type of riding but the tail and nose are quite small making manuals a little tougher. Also it's quite stiff. I see the rogue as a more DH board than free riding. Hope my personal experience helped!

@GuerillaTheGorilla I ride for a local Board shop in my city and we got in 3 of these decks. I find the flex to be a very comfortable medium flex, and stable enough for about 30-40 km/h depending on your hardware. The concave is really great and locks the feet in quite well. I would go for a rogue or a drop dead deck for really stable downhill rides. hope i helped!

@dawsthahorse O+ are awesome for freeriding. Smooth slides and predictable traction. A lot of guys will round out the lip themselves or they'll end up that way after riding them hard for a while. The wedge is not a lot like the chinook, ie. smaller wedge, top mount etc... the formula's wedge does give you a subtle bias to the front but mainly it is there to give you a sweet pocket for your riding.

@mikisaikano the rogue is a drop through version of the formula, hence same specs. It will drop through almost any kind of trucks.

The formula is a top mount with a 7 degree wedge.

Yep, on the Plasma Precisions.

For most everything I use purple Venom bottoms and yellow tops, both barrels.

If things get really fast I'll switch the yellow for a red.
