what kinds of pickups do you use?

@brunosmovies This guitar has a Seymour Duncan 59 Reissue neck pickup and a SD Distortion bridge pup and I use both of them for different parts. If you ever watch Uncle Ted play, he is constantly messing with his tone knobs and stuff. He is all over the place. Any humbucker will do. Just mess with the gain and tone knobs on your amp too. I used a POD xt Live way back when I did this video before I owned Tubes...LOL! :)

@SumitNotHuman123 I usually try to get the cleanest properly metered (recording volume-not too loud) recording first, then I add effects to it with Pro tools, but everything depends on which DAW you are using as to how to add effects. This recording has compression, EQ, and Slap Delay on the vocals, but I can't remember anything else since it was over 2 years ago. Slap Delay is really cool for vocals, especially if your doing OZZY! :)

@Gamersaloon88 Practice, Patience and Persistence! Take each lick one at a time and then string them together. I prefer headphones where you can hear both your guitar and the original track. It makes feeling things out much easier and faster. I play strickly by ear unless I can find a YT video to watch. I don't ever use tabs. Now I have Guitar Pro (slowing the music down) which has helped me learn things too (but I didn't have GP for this song). I hope this helps a little. Play Well! :)

@Gamersaloon88 I use Pro Tools which allows me to highlight the part I am working on and set it to loop so that it plays the same notes over and over. Sometime it will only be like 4 notes, (1234,1234,1234,1234) that way your brain will hear it. Once your brain "hears" it, then your hands will play it. Then when you sleep on it, your brain will work on it in the subconscience mind and next thing you know you got it. You must take each hard lead in small bites.

@Gamersaloon88 If you don't have Pro Tools, then I guess you have to rewind, if you will. You might be able to import the music into an easier music program like garage band or something. It sure helps to be able to do this with the looping and the headphones and to have your guitar plugged right into the music too. It has made learning songs much easier for me. I used to only have the radio, albums on vinyl and cassette tapes when I was first learning the guitar! Of course you can use tabs! :)
