while in the key path shown, go to Edit -> New -> DWORD value. Itll add a one and you can change the name. then double click to change the value. repeat for the other key.

well on many machines (even XP) you have to add the keys. try adding them, it can't hurt.

this will make downloads faster also. you cant really control your bandwidth to your computer but u can manage it (as this does). There are some softwares that claim 2 mae ur internet faster but i have used and seen no affects.

Hey man, have you tried Minefield yet? That's Mozilla's new browser. It hauls ass. From what I've heard, it has the fastest Javascript engine out there.

You should give it a try. It's only an alpha version right now, there's no final release yet. But it's pretty stable, no crashes. And FAST.

You can hardly find any good add-ons for it though. Not yet, at least.  :-(

yes, modern wifi devices and connections are able to handle multiple threads from a single IP. this will still work with them. The only limit is the bandwidth of the router.

I found that this works for IE7 bassed browsers as well as just EI7. I tryed it and then went on Maxthon 2 and it was faster, I went on ares and it was faster. So any browser with IE7 as its core will be sped up as well once you do this. Its cool.

sonicwall? is that like a brand of monitoring system? sometimes just using a portable version of a web browser or installing another one works. also, sometimes already-trusted apps can get to the internet via the help modules (like paint, go to help->help topics then right-click the question mark icon and chose "jump to URL" then type in the address and hit enter. and of course, getting admin rights always works (dnt do on school or work computers! lol)

Im not sure, you would havta play around with it a while. To be safe id keep it the size of and integer (32,000) or less. However, you can probably put a number very high in there.

technically, no. u just need to have full access to the registry, or at least the key ur changing. If your on a school or other organization (work maybe) computer, you might not be allowed to change registry values. Otherwise, any home use should be able to do this

When you create a new value as the video shows it appears in the Right panel selected and ready to be renamed. Then rename and set the value as the video shows

Its MaxConnextionsPer1_0Server. Make sure you get the name right! The key must be DWORD and you should enter all values as DECIMAL (unless you know the hex equivalent). The number is the number of simultaneous connections (threads) Internet Explorer can have connected to 1 server (web site). You can increase the number but I would do so at your own descretion because I havnt tested larger numbers and I don't know the max.

i am not sure about vista. you could try but id recommend backing up the registry before doing so (Regedit -> File -> Export). I know 10 works, but i don't know the range for the value. 50 should work. try it (again make sure you backup registry). I would consider keeping it in the short int range to be safe (16000-) or even better keep it less than 127

in theory higher is better, how ever i don't know what the limit is and have tested 10 and its safe. You can put higher numbers and it should get get slightly better speeds. If you do choose a higher number try to make sure it is still in the integer range (32000 or so)

it differs between computers, but many computers seem to double their speed. What it does is that by default you have 1 thread to the internet. They only give you one to make sure everyone have enough bandwidth to go around. This is sidestepping that, by adding more threads you connect to a single server or many of them more times and therfore can download at a faster rate. Enjoy =)
