  • I USED TO KNOW THEM BACK THEN!!!! Great memories of my early childhood :)

  • I met these guys when Lillie was about half this size. All of them dressed in long 1800s dresses. Forrest and I used to trade upright bass licks, he was a blast to hang out with.

  • Met this fantastic group at the Avoca Music Festivals. Amber-Dawn even played back-up on one of my sets.

  • Wow; back in 02 we saw them in Layla's, then in 05 heard they signed on with Arista... it's been awhile but it looks like they've been launched! Go kids go.

    What a sweet Bluegrass Family!

    Good job Dad!

  • Hey those guys are my cousins! We have been told by Amber that their songs are coming out on the radio this summer! Go buy yourselves a copy for "Crackerbarrel Song of the Year," they do a remake of Ronnie Milsaps "Stranger in My House," it is excellent! Don't forget to request songs of theirs on the radio! Also, check out there myspace, they've got a lot of information and a few songs on there.

  • I just met Forrest Carter last night. He mentioned that he played upright bass, but his kids were just signed to Arista recently.

I checked out their myspace page, then thought I'd brouse this... Holy Cow! There's Forrest right there with his youngins' They are deserving people of all that can be blessed upon them...

  • Forrest Carter seemed good person.

As this film reveals, he was quite a handsome man but he never 'played it.' He was a Christian whose entire world revolved around his wife and children.

He fed his kids on his dreams and encouraged them to become fine musicians.

    Hindsight reveals he

was more Daddy than "Manager." Perhaps

a bit too trusting/naive to function in the mainstream music BUSINESS. The good news is,

his kids are new-age savvy/gutsy. No doubt they will become huge stars.

  • I've just received confirmation. That "itty bitty girl" is Lille Mae! Mercy. These kids were always amazingly talented. They've had no easy life.

Pray for them that they may know wealth and fame and that they will able to embrace their fate with grace and contentment. They are going to be big stars. They are Fabulous musicians. Voices like velvet angels.

Good God, itty bitty Lille Mae sounds like a young WOMAN now.

    Time flys. Have fun, y'all.

  • Amen, I'll join in on that prayer.

These kids have paid their dues down on lower broad for 3 years now. And, I couldn't agree with you more: "they are Fabulous musicians...Voices like velvet angels..."

And that Lillie Mae...Son!, she commands an incredibly mature voice.

    Thanks for sharing the video.

    See you at Layla's.

  • They are sooo good . even now as grown adults

  • jypsi . net

  • Layla's Bluegrass Inn? I'm livin' in a dream here. Is Layla's in Nashville? Fill us in.

Given the opportunity to see these awesome musicians perform live & local, I'll be beating a path to where they's at.

  • Wow, this is GREAT!!!I recognize Amber Dawn, Scarlett, and Frank,...but is that little bitty girl Lille Mae? Jypsi Rocks! Catch 'em at Layla's Bluegrass Inn everyday 'cept Mondays, while you still can...
