Yes, it's fake. He should be playing a LOT higher on the keys, his melody hand also appears to be playing the rhythm.

Either way, it's a nice melody.

You must not be very experienced in piano.

As it is, there is no such thing as the "melody" hand or the "rhythm" hand. (And if there was, it would be called a "harmony" hand, by the way.) Piano music is written in all different ways. And if you were to look at the sheet music he linked to, you would see the way the music is written.

As for how high he should be playing on the keys, the angle he taped from is deceiving.

1. The left hand generally plays the rhythm and bass note whilst the right hand generally plays melody and, as you said, harmony.

2. Piano music is written to be played on piano, a bass clef and a treble clef, not too difficult.

3. If you would look at the sheet music, you'll see it is no longer there, nor was it there when I posted this 2 month ago.

Regardless of how high he is playing on the keys, there are inflections and grace notes that he is not playing.

Seriously, it's fake.
