i've been using Neutrogena's Alcohol-Free Toner. I buy it at Wal-Mart. it is a really good toner. It doesn't burn my face and makes my face feel clean and smooth. Sometimes when I run out of it and don't have time to get a new one, I use MAC Fix+ as a spray over my face. But I like Neutrogena since its cheaper too :)

Cleanser and toner are two different things but you always have to use them together: the cleanser removes most of the dirt or make-up and after that you should use the toner to really remove all the dirt or make-up residue that the cleanser couldn't remove. And after toner you can apply a moisterizer and you're done ! :)

I think after your moisturizer, but I'm not sure. You can always go to a dermatologist who can give you the best advice, because acne isn't easily cured with cream only. I know some friends who went to the dermatologist for their acne and their skin improved a lot. The dermatologist can give you more individualized advice. Good Luck!
The effective ingredient in Proactive and other acne face washes is Salicylic acid, so if you want to save money check the content of the cheapest face wash and see if it contains Salicylic acid .
Remember to leave it on for at least 2 minutes to be absorbed, otherwise ur wasting your money.
It's actually Benzoyl Peroxide that's in Proactive. It is a bleaching agent so it can severely dry out skin. Salicylic acid is more of an exfoliant and it strips away a thin layer of the upper epidermis so that it can remove dead skin cells and excess bacteria.
All products sold on t.v. has it's own alternative or dupe if you take the extra effort to research it.
same with me......my dermatologist said it doesnt work so well because the bacteria can easily get used to it because there is only 1 acne fighting medicine in there!
You can try the dramatically different GEL which will be absorbed by your skin really well and wont leave a heavy oily feeling. I tried using the lotion (for 1,2 skin) and it really is heavy and ends up making your skin oily, if you dont have uber-dry skin. The gel is really refreshing and it will leave your skin light and supple. They usually have similar looking packaging so you can mistake the lotion for the gel if you dont read the label well.

Go to any beauty/drug store nearby and tell them what the problem is. They will give you free advice. They'll probably try to sell you some products.. But at least you'll know what to do :)

sometimes, when I apply foundation or concealer, some areas (especially with pimples) will look flaky and uneven.. even when I use moisturizer underneath... do you know what I can do for this? maybe prep+prime would help?
I'm not Stephie.. but I might have a good solution that. Did you ever see those bottled water sprays in the drug store? Evian has them, I don't know about any other brands. They're actually quite cheap. You spray them over your foundation/concealer and the product you used will blend so nicely in with your skin! It won't be cakey/flaky and uneven anymore :) (That's what I've experienced anyways)
Oh okay cool. I love the Studio fix cream. I can't figure out if I want to get that cause it's kinda pricey for lotion. But maybe the bottle would last me awhile. Now that I think about it I had a sample and it's still going strong. Also I don't know another lotion like it.

lotion,moisturizer, and emulsion are basically the same thing. they are all similar in thick liquidy substance. those with spf must be used in daytime while hose without can be used day and night. toner is used right after cleasing ur face and before putting on moisturizer. some toners moisturize or tighten pores to reduce coming out of oils. it really depends on the product. essense is a more concentrated and potent form of product. .
nutrients are more densely packed than lotion, so it's probably the product you can count on to make real difference on your face. but some of it can be sticky and to thick if you put it on during daytime. so it's better to just use it at night after moisturizer. or if your essence is moist enough, don't bother putting on toner and lotion beforehand. you can just use essence for the whole face and eye cream for skin around the eyes
girl, you need to get dont go to the cosmetics counter without me by paula, it would save you so much money and trouble(so much information about skincare, its like a bible), cause thats a lot of unnecessary products, and some of ur products are causing your breakouts
I watched this video a few months ago,when I was using Proactiv. I decided to buy Clinique. I went to Sephora and saw a packaged deal with the lotion(reg size)for about..I'd say $25.It came with a small sample of both the wash and toner.I tried it and LOVED it! I've never liked a product so much.I went back and got the wash/toner.The total for both was about $35!It's worth EVERY penny!But look for a small sample kit like I did to see if you like it.The bottles are HUGE so they last a long time.
i actually stopped using prep+prime, i felt it clogged my pores, so i've been using the smashbox primer. but i use strobe cream everyday, even without primer.
be careful with that clinique stuff, alot of their liquid face products have alcohol in it and if you use it too often it'll make your skin age faster. Using alcohol in your skin too often can damage it over time! I hope that helped. Great video though, I use the cremewash and then put on studio moisture fix right after with my face still slightly wet and it rly helped with the dryness.

Well the reason why your Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizer moisturizes too much is because you got the lotion version. If you get the gel version which is for oily skin it won't moisturize your skin too heavily. Love the video by the way
You should get Zeno for your zits.. and instead of these brands you should get a medicated solution for your pimples cuz it also prevents pimples from coming out.. I use Delacin T solution morning and evening.. My skin is flawless ever since I used it..

i also use Clinique dramatically different moisturizer... i have dryer skin in the winter, and a little oilier during the warmer weather.. like most people. And ive found that the GEL version of this moisturizer works much better since i do have oily skin at times (t-zone). And im also a redhead with fair skin tones so im much more sensitive. I highlyyy recommend the Clinique cleansing facial bar.. its amazing!! (i use mine 2x daily and ive had it for almost a year and its only 1/2 gone!!)
the diffence between the charged water and the fix spray from MAC is that the fix, fixes the makeup and it also moiserises the skin whereas the charged water main function is to moisterise..
Wear less make up. Keep weekends free ... maybe Sundays so that your skin can breathe. Benzoyl peroxide dries up your skin way too much... Try using a clinique product that works for acne treatment as well. ANNND you only need a cleanser, toner, and moisturizing lotion in the morning. Masks are a bonus in this routine.
my opinion, is that i lvoe proactiv, all my acne isnt gone yet becuase i havent been using it for a long time but it makes my face smooth and it does clear, but i guess thats only for certain ppl

i just wrote a review on my myspace about an exfoiliator from queen helene...it's an apricot scrub...YOU WOULD LOVE IT...i cannot say enough good things about it. i've never had problems with acne/bad blemishes, but i know people who have, i recommended it to them and their skin was clearing up really fast, and they noticed a VERY big difference in the softness, much like i do. just a tip!! oh, and it smells great and you can find it really cheap, about 2 or 3 dollars a bottle!
I think a lot of people have to keep in mind, that healthy-smoothe-acne free skin isn't achieved by just using the 'right product'. It's also keeping a balanced diet. I think a lot of people should look into that as well.

i used proactiv for a while & it did clear my skin but i would still break out every now & then with the worst pimples.lol..i found that mixing products works best for me

whats you secret! lol you guys put all those products and have no pimples or acne. all i use is a cleanser and moisturizer and i always break out cant seem to stop. Also my skin feels very dry after using a cleanser and putting a moisturizer dsnt seem to help, my skin still feels dry and irritated. what can i do to relieve this.

Go to any beauty/drug store nearby and tell them what the problem is. They will give you free advice. They'll probably try to sell you some products.. But at least you'll know what to do :)

my skin feels dry and i still break out, the cleanser that i use say doesnt overdry but after i wash my face it feels very dry and uncomfortable and irritated, should i change cleansers? and what moisturuzers do you recommend for morning and night?

sometimes, when I apply foundation or concealer, some areas (especially with pimples) will look flaky and uneven.. even when I use moisturizer underneath... do you know what I can do for this? maybe prep+prime would help?

I'm not Stephie.. but I might have a good solution that. Did you ever see those bottled water sprays in the drug store? Evian has them, I don't know about any other brands. They're actually quite cheap. You spray them over your foundation/concealer and the product you used will blend so nicely in with your skin! It won't be cakey/flaky and uneven anymore :) (That's what I've experienced anyways)

its more of a light cream. charged waters are limited edition from MAC but MAC Fix+ spray is pretty much the same.

Oh okay cool. I love the Studio fix cream. I can't figure out if I want to get that cause it's kinda pricey for lotion. But maybe the bottle would last me awhile. Now that I think about it I had a sample and it's still going strong. Also I don't know another lotion like it.

lotion,moisturizer, and emulsion are basically the same thing. they are all similar in thick liquidy substance. those with spf must be used in daytime while hose without can be used day and night. toner is used right after cleasing ur face and before putting on moisturizer. some toners moisturize or tighten pores to reduce coming out of oils. it really depends on the product. essense is a more concentrated and potent form of product. .

nutrients are more densely packed than lotion, so it's probably the product you can count on to make real difference on your face. but some of it can be sticky and to thick if you put it on during daytime. so it's better to just use it at night after moisturizer. or if your essence is moist enough, don't bother putting on toner and lotion beforehand. you can just use essence for the whole face and eye cream for skin around the eyes

girl, you need to get dont go to the cosmetics counter without me by paula, it would save you so much money and trouble(so much information about skincare, its like a bible), cause thats a lot of unnecessary products, and some of ur products are causing your breakouts

I watched this video a few months ago,when I was using Proactiv. I decided to buy Clinique. I went to Sephora and saw a packaged deal with the lotion(reg size)for about..I'd say $25.It came with a small sample of both the wash and toner.I tried it and LOVED it! I've never liked a product so much.I went back and got the wash/toner.The total for both was about $35!It's worth EVERY penny!But look for a small sample kit like I did to see if you like it.The bottles are HUGE so they last a long time.

i actually stopped using prep+prime, i felt it clogged my pores, so i've been using the smashbox primer. but i use strobe cream everyday, even without primer.

be careful with that clinique stuff, alot of their liquid face products have alcohol in it and if you use it too often it'll make your skin age faster. Using alcohol in your skin too often can damage it over time! I hope that helped. Great video though, I use the cremewash and then put on studio moisture fix right after with my face still slightly wet and it rly helped with the dryness.

YEAH TOO MUCH EVERYTHING I GUESS!..she is young and pretty and shouldn't put this much. I am 22 and my skin is not perfect but I try to stay away from over doing anything. Yeah once i am over 50 then I guess I can put everything and still need more LOL...

Well the reason why your Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizer moisturizes too much is because you got the lotion version. If you get the gel version which is for oily skin it won't moisturize your skin too heavily. Love the video by the way

You should get Zeno for your zits.. and instead of these brands you should get a medicated solution for your pimples cuz it also prevents pimples from coming out.. I use Delacin T solution morning and evening.. My skin is flawless ever since I used it..

i also use Clinique dramatically different moisturizer... i have dryer skin in the winter, and a little oilier during the warmer weather.. like most people. And ive found that the GEL version of this moisturizer works much better since i do have oily skin at times (t-zone). And im also a redhead with fair skin tones so im much more sensitive. I highlyyy recommend the Clinique cleansing facial bar.. its amazing!! (i use mine 2x daily and ive had it for almost a year and its only 1/2 gone!!)

the diffence between the charged water and the fix spray from MAC is that the fix, fixes the makeup and it also moiserises the skin whereas the charged water main function is to moisterise..

Wear less make up. Keep weekends free ... maybe Sundays so that your skin can breathe. Benzoyl peroxide dries up your skin way too much... Try using a clinique product that works for acne treatment as well. ANNND you only need a cleanser, toner, and moisturizing lotion in the morning. Masks are a bonus in this routine.

i just wrote a review on my myspace about an exfoiliator from queen helene...it's an apricot scrub...YOU WOULD LOVE IT...i cannot say enough good things about it. i've never had problems with acne/bad blemishes, but i know people who have, i recommended it to them and their skin was clearing up really fast, and they noticed a VERY big difference in the softness, much like i do. just a tip!! oh, and it smells great and you can find it really cheap, about 2 or 3 dollars a bottle!

I think a lot of people have to keep in mind, that healthy-smoothe-acne free skin isn't achieved by just using the 'right product'. It's also keeping a balanced diet. I think a lot of people should look into that as well.

I don't have the charged waters but I have Fix+...and I love love love love the Fix+ It's amazing..it does like everything...you can watch Enkoremakeup about Fix+...Do buy it...even if you do charged waters..it's like Amazing..oh i already said that haha

i'm not really sure... it depends on you really. if you want to, go ahead, if not then just skip it :) i don't think there is any set rules as to when to start using them. but in my opinion, if you don't need it yet, then just hold off. your skin is prolly gorgeous since you're still young!
