Not sure if you play or not but simply watch her technique Particularly her left hand. After watching several videos the only CONSTRUCTIVE criticism I can come up with is to keep her playing songs like this one and Mofro. She has a voice built for it. she can tackle any song she wishes but some of the videos sounded like her voice just wasnt ready yet.

Actually, dude, I am her teacher and I'm not teaching her "to perform like the big world". I teach her to play, teach her technique and concepts and the like. We study style & arrangement & composition & more. She chooses the songs she wants to perform and performs them as she sees fit. Further, she DOES make music from her heart and has already released a CD of music she has written. She is an amazing talent who reached her current level thru 6 years of hard, hard work & dedication. So chill.
@SkinnyDevilMusicLab I must agree with eaaeeeea..Those younges have tremendous talent..but to say they choose the songs is not always the best because how can they sing when 10 yrs of age about loosing the LOVE of their LIFE..when they have yet to start life. I agree the songs ought to be directed to something as this one..more her style even raw but it is approbiate to her age.

Just because most humans are conditioned to believe that we can't realize our full emotional potential at such a young age, doesn't mean it's not possible. She may be just 10, but love, loss and pain is still very real to each and everyone of us, regardless of age. Maybe she thinks of a pet, or a horse, or a doll, when she sings this song, but loss is loss! Almira rocks!
Having seen her live , she is as honest and good as you see here. She uses a looper to advantage. My sole concern is the day she learns what some of the sad-blues words actually mean. Nothing for an 11yr old to worry about, but something a 30+ might have to carry with them
