  • HE IS A LEGAND

  • One of the best guitarists

  • richie and nuno bettencourt have quite similar style

  • ah...great..

  • I CAN FEEL!!!!! :D

  • Yes, I can feel it, man!

  • asombroso y llamativo

  • Richie Kotzen es Dios!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I crapped my pants!

  • who hasnt shit his pants now, stand up

  • way too cool

  • Idk why but I just don't like his style : (

  • @theblackblur Each to their own and that. I'd check out some more of his work though, if you already haven't.

  • @Conor4049 Any specifications broman? so far ive checked out his "William Hawk" "into the black" and Fever dream

  • @nextbestguitarist Return of the Motherheads Family Reunion and Peace Sign are great studio albums. Check out Electric Joy for some awesome fusion playing too. His Live in Sao Paolo album/DVD is probably my favourite though.

  • @Conor4049 THNX :DD will doo

  • Awesome

  • Man.. the ending was pretty pro.

  • When he joined Mr. Big, my first thought was .. "man, nobody else could be more perfect"

  • can't believe this guy taught Chad Ginsburg about soloing and stuff.

  • Does dimarzio Have this RK Strat Pickups for sale?

  • @walterockmx but i don't really think he has any special dimarzio's in his strats. I know that in tele's he has Twang King pups, and in the strat i thing it's a virtual vintage, but check it

  • @STRATOCASTER1992 hi stratocaste guy how are you

thank you very much for answering one of my questions, by the way, few months ago sent a mail asking to the dimarzio,s tech guys the same question, they told me this:

Richie's pickups are very similar to an HS-2 (DP116) wired in single-coil mode (red wire hot, all other wires ground). If you prefer a similar sound in a humcancelling pickup, you might have a look at the Area 61 (DP416

I gotta go than you for your time

    Walterfunk

  • @walterockmx Good call man.I run DP HS series P/ups in most of my Strats and they are what I would suggest for these kinds of tones as well.I believe YJM uses the HS p/up's as well. But I like their bite and versatility in response with guitars volume levels.Really a good all around p/up with lots of power.

I would like to check out the area51,I know most all old Dimarzios, what would you say comes closest to the 51 if I could ask?

    Thanks,in advance,Jess

  • and he write beautiful song!Number1

  • Speed is nothing without control.

  • @dudu0607 meaning?

  • bas ass

  • He used to shred but changed styles, alot of guitarists do that that no offence but shredding is more popular with the teen type crowd. He is a great singer though.

  • too true

  • Well, a lot of his current playing is still very shred based. This is a bad example, but a lot of his other material is very shreddy. Even this has some shred licks in it. He just integrates a lot of funky and bluesy licks which make his style unique. It's funky shred lol

  • for me he is really a genius that's why he changed styles, not like malmsteen or other that makes from twenty years the same things:):)it's alright he is also a great singer

  • Good enough for G3 or noT ?

  • he is! :)

  • Yeah!! I want to see him in a G3!! I would be GREAT!!

  • too good

  • Comment removed

  • Richie has a good mix of flash and soul. That's what makes him one of my absolute favorites.

  • Great, now I have to get a strat.

  • very good playing respect!

but the surname ... kotzen is german and means puking

  • who cares he looks mnothing like a german

  • look at all that thumb downs for a joke :P

  • ma te sei pazzo

  • Legato's God

  • 1oo stars for me

  • Ratings disabled?

    well...

    5 STARS!!!

  • e brav u trmon!

  • I hear blues, rock, some jazz and country. I love the riffs in 1:23 to 1:30 - excellent. To me, you come across as a well-rounded guitarist and that's what I'd like to aim for.

  • Great!

  • I love this song! I would do anything to be able to do this.

    Richie your the best! cheers

  • uhhh...ahhaha...ok?

  • Ever played any of these guitars...can you be sure that I am not right?

  • ahahha...u may be right but seriously, listen to what you're saying.

  • Yes I know...a little bit harsh what I said...but when I wrote that I just got to know those guitars and there is really no comparision to those well known guitars. Fender, Gibson, Ibanez are decent guitars but they totally lack in comparison to the aforementioned guitars.

  • I am sure you are wrong.

What in your opinion makes a great guitar?

  • great playability, tone, sustain. Richie Kotzen's signature Guitars are so much better than the average fender. But the Average Fender is definitly not as good as some handmade guitars...quality control...perfect instruments.

  • This guy reached a level that I REALLY wanna achieve!

  • gosto do kotzen demais mas essa foi palha.

  • haha..yea..i dont got a pfreferance between the 2 i like both of them..each brought something different to the band

  • He's got a cool funky style...

I still prefer Gilbo, it seems like this guy is so talented he doesn't need to practice...

Not saying he doesn't, just saying he's too cool!

  • richieeeeeeeeeeeeeee GREAT!!!! As usual

  • what the fuuuuck!!!!!!!!!!!! Damn this guy is sooo amazing, I wanna play like him, I practise every day, i just don't get there

  • I know how you feel - I've been playing for a long time and am just now starting to develop some dexterity. I really wish I could make my fingers go faster - too many bad habits picked up along the way :(

  • capo!!! saludos

  • wtf!

    amazing!

  • nr 1 !

    see you i Norway.

  • superb

  • did richie kotzen go to the GIT? (guitar institute of technology)

  • I don't think so. I remember reading somewhere that when he auditioned for Vertu, that he was embarrassed to admit that he couldn't read music.

  • Wicked Awsome!

  • great,thanx for sharing man!

  • Man, where did you get this video? awesome material ;)

  • Ni en mi 5ta reencarnacion....

  • Looks like he picked up the slide-vibrato from Greg Howe

  • they share a lot of techniques and a lot of licks they both like a lot. sometimes it's hard to know who came up with what

  • thats right ^

  • Greg actually picked up his hybrid picking technique from Richie I had no idea!!

  • bravissimo

  • Ha ha!

    Marvellous!

  • Love the video! Great stuff!
