I've met somebody named Nocturnal. From what I understand, he's the best Garou player in the world, and I've never even seen him do moves like this. Comprende ?

No it doesnt. What labels you as a good player is how much knowledge and grasp of a game you have. Not just because you beat someone who's considered good. You could be mashing your controller against your ass and win and you still wouldnt know how to win.

There are actually some moves easier to pull off with a keyboard than with a joystick. This is because tapping arrows keys gives you better precision. You just need to practice tapping them faster. If you doubt what a dedicated keyboard user can do check out high level 02jam games. Precision, speed.
The one disadvantage keyboards have is that most are not meant to take any kind of gaming abuse. And they're not exactly cheap.
Not to mention most keyboards will jam up with 3 buttons pressed at once. If you must play fighting games on keyboard, buy the expensive ones with anti-ghosting.
yes man, this game and street fighter third strike are the best 2d fighters ever, I think maybe both have a really elaborate attack and defense system, and the average 2d fighters just have a system attack.

It really is! Just bear in mind you'll probably take a long while to get into it- it's just worth doing. It's not quite the Whole Martial Art To Learn thing that Virtua Fighter has going, it's just longer to learn than many games. Hard to really explain how fun it is; I can just sit down and play and ENJOY myself even though I'm really quite low skilled. The experience is simply great. Hope that helped! :)
Nope, I've been playing it for years and don't know of a single glitch. I don't think there's one infinite in the game even (unless you count doing something like D->feint->dash->repeat with Hokutomaru but that is not remotely feasible to keep up in an actual fight). It's probably the single most balanced fighter I've ever played. Only reason for lack of popularity I can discern is that people PREFER to have blatant tiers and glitches and really simplistic combos. Look at 3rd Strike and MvC2.

That's dumb that you put 3rd Strike in the same category as MvC2. 3S is considered just as balanced as Garou if not a step below/higher. Also, there are a few glitches in this game like Jenet's hit box which allows certain combos to only work on her, just to name one. There are two infinites in this game, Jae Hoon and Hokutomaru each have one, but like you said, not at all feasible.
Also, none of the advanced combos in 3s are simplistic.
3S is only considered "just as balanced as Garou" by people who never play anything but 3S. The game is one of the most blatantly tiered fighters in existence. Are you honestly telling me Twelve or Sean even remotely stands a chance against a decent Ken or Yun?
Jenet's hit box is not a glitch, it's a differently shaped hit box. That's common in fighters, and MUCH more prominent in 3s.
The combos that actually get used most of the time in 3S are dead simple, including Yun's and Oro's.
Sean is obviously a joke tier character in the same vein as Dan, and even despite that, it's possible for any Sean player (who can parry) to go up against any "decent" Ken or Yun and win - I've seen this happen so don't pretend that it's some kind of logical absurdity. Anyway, I'm not even going to comment on how you think only people who play 3S think it's balanced, it's pretty dumb to assume people who play it have no knowledge of fighters on a grander scale.
Also, a nice little display of ignorance on your part: you think that just because Ken and Yun have some easy combos that you can just blatantly generalize the entire game? What about Jae Hoon? He has the most accessible and easily confirmable combos that do ridiculous damage, so does that mean that everyone else is the same? No, it doesn't, so it's a moot point and I REALLY don't know why you would bring it up when mostly everything you complain about 3S in present in Garou in some form.
Jae Hoon also has almost no truly safe moves on block and his combos are actually pretty average for damage. You still haven't answered why 3rd Strike is allegedly so balanced by the way. You haven't explained what I bring up about 3S is present in Garou for that matter.
Ken and Yun practically are the entire game, because they dominate almost every tournament.
And yes it is a logical absurdity. A good Ken will destroy an equal Sean, period. Ken can parry too.
You're the first to ever say Jae's combos do average damage, it's really not true, he's consistently ranked under Kevin in any modern tier list. Try this one out, it's really easy: Jumping AC chain, land, standing D (feint) crouching C, QCF + D. That's a corner combo and it does plenty of damage. It doesn't matter if his specials aren't safe because he has great mix-up potential and just needs a standing jab or low kick to pull them off, he's a combo machine.
As for me not explaining why 3S is balanced, why do I need to? You mentioned two characters and I already explained that one is a joke character that was nerfed heavily since 2nd Impact. That leaves one character out of a possible 19 - that's not enough to upset the balance. I find it funny that you'd bring up Yun and Ken and not even mention Chun Li or Urien, though. Also, you said a Sean/Twelve vs. a "decent" Ken, implying that a decent Ken could dominate any exceptional Twelve or Sean player.
because Kevin is using LK with a follow up the whole time. It's hard to time a just defence with LK's. And he was cornered as well. Kevin played it out well.
Why does Rock not guard cancel when he's getting block-ticked to death in the corner by Kevin? Or do a counter? I notice good players seldom use counters. Understandable but a shame as their so cool.
Every character has certain "normals" (moves done by hitting any of the buttons while standing, jumping, or crouching) and some of those normals may be cancelable, depending on the character. Rock's close C (pressing C and nothing else while close to the opponent) can be cancelled for example.
To cancel it into a special or super, simply perform that move's input so that you finish the input during the hit freeze from your last move.
For example to cancel that close C into Rock's Reppuken, hit C, then input qcf+P quickly so that you hit the P after the qcf but right as both players are frozen for a brief moment from the hit.
Cancelling into feints is done basically the same way, except you press f+A+C or d+A+C during that freeze. They're special though in that you have to actually press the direction (f or d) for each time you do it, you can't simply hold in one direction and press A+C a bunch of times for multiple feints.
Talking about a fake moon as an evidence of cheating, dudes, for god's sake, those players are AWESOME, they are skilled, MACROS ( AB or AC or CD ) doesn't even matter at such a great level, Guard cancel, or JD aren't done by cheating, bunch of noobs, stop saying such nonsenses, thx.
If any of them were faked, I would suspect the rock vs. gato match first. But to tell you the truth, all of these are possible by good players, and I wouldn't be surprised at all if they were genuine. And they certainly have my full admiration if they're real.
Man, I bet the players who posted this are smiling when they read the accusations of hacking or whatnot. There's no greater compliment than when others think you're skills aren't humanly possible.

No one said "OMG FAKE" at Daigo vs. JWong, but here are two anonymous players who apparently played only four rounds of Garou ever, but did so at a near-superhuman level then left the scene for good before revealing so much as their shoe size.

I'm not even sure it's macros. You have to consider that these guys have amazing reaction ability, and player reading skills (since they JD so damn much). You can't really do this with macros, and if they were so good to be able to JD like that, then they are probably good enough to execute without macros. I think the matches are staged though.

No one would go through all that trouble of staging a fight that looks so real where it would take a shitload of time to be able to sync up the music, sound effects, sprite movement, background movement, stamina damage, and super bar build-up without even editing in their names to take credit for the "fame" of a good "faked" video they could be trying to pass off.
i agree man. I used to play a lot in the arcades in the states. And I thought i was good. Then I went to tokyo for a week, and hit the arcades over there. I didnt even dare to put my token in, the way those guys were doing breaks and cancels, i knew i was out of my league.

while i do agree with fighting games with keyboards, for the rest of us that don't have mutant long fingers and rock steady hands to play fps's on the pc, grab that analogue stick and have fun.
As I see this is the Dreamcast version. Because the stages chages the Ambientation every new fight. So, this is not hacked, and plus the colors are more colorfull than the MVS version (that only supports 16 bits). My bet is that this is the DC version!

Some people have claimed that the 4 matches uploaded by these japanese players are rehearsed...and probably involved alot of save-stating and load-stating. I mean, all four of them are pretty much flawless, they even do the one frame combos and cancels with perfect accuracy every time, and they JD everything.
I can adhere to that! These are some High-Level playing matches! ISTG, I wish more people would or still played this and all the other great 2D Fighters. I've also started playing Garou again, since seeing all the GOOD match videos on youtube!

Also, you said a Sean/Twelve vs. a "decent" Ken, implying that a decent Ken could dominate any exceptional Twelve or Sean player.

Every character has certain "normals" (moves done by hitting any of the buttons while standing, jumping, or crouching) and some of those normals may be cancelable, depending on the character. Rock's close C (pressing C and nothing else while close to the opponent) can be cancelled for example.
To cancel it into a special or super, simply perform that move's input so that you finish the input during the hit freeze from your last move.

For example to cancel that close C into Rock's Reppuken, hit C, then input qcf+P quickly so that you hit the P after the qcf but right as both players are frozen for a brief moment from the hit.
Cancelling into feints is done basically the same way, except you press f+A+C or d+A+C during that freeze. They're special though in that you have to actually press the direction (f or d) for each time you do it, you can't simply hold in one direction and press A+C a bunch of times for multiple feints.

If any of them were faked, I would suspect the rock vs. gato match first. But to tell you the truth, all of these are possible by good players, and I wouldn't be surprised at all if they were genuine. And they certainly have my full admiration if they're real.

2. The reason that people didn't cry "Fake" at the moon landing is that it seemed plausible. If they had said that, say, they went to Mars, nobody would believe it. No one said "OMG FAKE" at Daigo vs. JWong, but here are two anonymous players who apparently played only four rounds of Garou ever, but did so at a near-superhuman level then left the scene for good before revealing so much as their shoe size.

I'm not even sure it's macros. You have to consider that these guys have amazing reaction ability, and player reading skills (since they JD so damn much). You can't really do this with macros, and if they were so good to be able to JD like that, then they are probably good enough to execute without macros. I think the matches are staged though.

i agree man. I used to play a lot in the arcades in the states. And I thought i was good. Then I went to tokyo for a week, and hit the arcades over there. I didnt even dare to put my token in, the way those guys were doing breaks and cancels, i knew i was out of my league.

Playing fighting games with keyboards is about as stupid as playing FPSes with joypads.
You can get arcade sticks that hook up to your PC anyway, and at this level of play both players are almost certainly using a stick.

As I see this is the Dreamcast version. Because the stages chages the Ambientation every new fight. So, this is not hacked, and plus the colors are more colorfull than the MVS version (that only supports 16 bits). My bet is that this is the DC version!

Some people have claimed that the 4 matches uploaded by these japanese players are rehearsed...and probably involved alot of save-stating and load-stating. I mean, all four of them are pretty much flawless, they even do the one frame combos and cancels with perfect accuracy every time, and they JD everything.
