  • Good opinions

  • the statement from a child "i'm not allowed to play that because my parents said so" is the most poweful statement that any law can create. i grew up in japan where controlled substance was open for market for all ages. most commonly a child purchase these things for their parents. shop clerk honors kids who goes to do things for their elders. when things are available, as a child, i've never had the urge to buy these things. all of my friends did likewise. we careless lol

  • I want to play an iPhone game (modern combat 3), but my dad doesnt allow me to play it, cause its 16+ rated.... In defenetly going to show this to him xD (im 13 btw)

  • I'm searching "parent child games' and have a safe, fun, challenging tickle game for parent & child. Check out "Tickle Machine Game" a how to be funny exercise:

5 rules of safe tickling, 5 Levels challenge how to: A. Be Funny or B. Stay Calm.

    Switch roles.

My Grandpa Project is sharing this game & 'How to Comfort a Hurt Child'.

  • My dad dont want me to play violent games like call of duty but im gonna show him this video!

  • If a child is not old enough for the game, then the parent should act responsibly and not buy it for them.

Seriously, if your child asked for a packet of cigarettes, a six pack of beers and a stash of porn magazines - would you really buy it all for them? No, of course not.

  • Dammit. If only this was true. I could double jump and have a portal gun.,

  • games dont fucking afect you fucking dumbass

  • @DAGANGSTABAGEL There is a vast difference in personalities, and different people are affected by gaming. To keep it all short like a mainstream example as FPS games such as Call of Duty making people rage sometimes into "extreme madness" which we find humorous, but it can affect their whole day and how the treat it. Most people aren't so stupid as to attack someone IRL cause of it, but would be acting a bit more temperamental with what goes on that day if whatever it is, is not to their liking.

  • Quoted this guy in a debate, really helped destroying the competition.

  • what hes trying to say is IF YOUR CHILD KILLS YOUR HUSBAND.... HES A PHYSCO PATH!!!!! dammit get with it

  • I know a 15 year old who's deeply disturbed by Call of Duty, etc. but I also know a 5 year old that can play Left 4 Dead and whatnot and giggle at the violence. It really does vary.

  • no if your kid have a problem then dont let him play dont ruin it for everybody

  • @deck776 exactly

  • smart man

  • Played Mario Kart Wii, now I want to drive in a Go-Kart on the road and throw turtle shells and bananas at random cars hoping I make it in first place..

  • @TechnoZeroSan remy gailard did that

  • i wish they didnt narrow it down. some games overdo the violence. i am 11 years old and i know a 9 year old who plays resident evil, gears of war, and risestance.

  • @KAZSAMDAV What's you're gamertag, I want 2 talk to a another kid, no I'm not a pedophile, I'm a 13 year old. :)

  • I've played all these games, and I haven't been in a fight since 1999.

  • End of the day its the parents that let their kids buy the game. The know the age rating and if they think the game is inapropiant take the game away all you have to do is watch what their playing.

  • No, people are going to be seen to violence one way or another some time in their lives. how young it occurs DOES matter, but in the early stages of life, like 3-6.

  • no you should not because there not real!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i just played frogger i going to run in traffic

  • NO TO THE PEOPLE IN THE WORLD WHO THINK VIOLENT VIDEO GAMES MAKE KID LIKE THIS GO FUCK YOUR SELVES

  • when i play violent games for 3 hours straight i dont want to shoot or impale anyone i just get a bad head ache

  • HELLO KITTY ISLAND ADVENTURE

  • Thank god for this. Finally someone who says how it really is.

But the mother in the video has showed that most parents have no clue which games are suitable for their kids.

  • @brucebeertje Your right. I'm a kid, and after playing GTA for my entire life, I am first communion and have never hurt anyone.

  • it's all BS, I played vice city when I was five, and I never killed or injured anyone, I never robbed a car,

  • Most people aren't thinking fora tv.

  • Stop hatin on vid games look at movies

  • My mon wont let watch sexually stuff im 12 but everything is ok just no nudity

  • why don't people worry about sexual content for once?

  • @jknsps The weirdest part about this quest is that nudest proved that it can be curved... If we were meant to wear cloths we would have been born with them... O and about the sexual acts. What you gonna do if two dogs start humping infront of your kid... Daddy Mommy what are they doing. Well son the other dog is helping the dog on the bottom. :)) " O ya I'm for and againts the idea... Hard to explain. Because real life sucks It'll throw a curve ball.

  • @jknsps

I know its much more hurtful for a child to see an act of sex than a hooker being ran over. Violence in games is no where near as bad. Its because of the hippie make peace not war bullshit, and the oh its an alternative lifestyle bullshit is a good mix of why we see that.

  • @insanity401 and that hippe thing isnt possiable without violence anymore, so i dont understand. and everyone who thinks these games are bad are just jealous they they cant quick scope and 360 no scope like we can

  • -_-*

  • I like this guy.

  • Why the hell would buy a 10 year CoD? I don't care about the kid himself... but it ruins the experience for the older gamers when little brats come on the multiplayer, its rated 17+/18+ for a reason you know...

  • Hey dudes I just finished playing BioShock, anyone wanna help me build an underwater metropolis?

  • @KingKehra okay just let me finish capturing the nieghborhood girls so i can enslave and make them drain the blood out of the people i kill =P

  • here is the real question "Why do parents buy their kids violent video games when they clearly have a 18plus age rating?

  • playing violent video games lets you do things you cant do in the real world

  • maybe if the parent would look at the M FUCKING RATING I MEAN JESUS BUYING YOUR 7 YEAR OLD FUCKNIG GEARS OF WAR WHAT THE FUCK AMERICA

  • violent games don't make violent kids. F****N LAG DOES!!!!!

  • @jeco0357 GOD DAMMIT I FUCKING HATE LAG

  • I didn't even play an M rated game until I was 13

  • @alexmathis1 ROFL Same XD

  • well if i can't kill peopel in video games and its only way i can get rid of my anger so should i go on street and beat up some1?

  • Please parents STOP BUYING M RATED GAMES FOR YOUR 4 YEAR OLD!!!!! I didn't buy God of war 3 for your kidz your dumb ass did!

  • u guys are fools of course video games influence us they always have

i played pong once and afterwards kept running back and forth between two spots

after i played pacman i ate a load of pills and went ghost hunting

and when i played mario well lets say after a few shrooms the box factory wasnt the same again

  • Has any of them actually tried... Shit I dont know parenting. You know telling your child what they can and cant do. If they want something you dont like you tell them no and thats that. If they are playing too much you tell them to get off and go outside or something. Yea, thats right parenting. I know its a hard concept but our ancestors did it so I think we will be fine.

  • Over regulation of video games is a dumb idea that wont solve anything.Parents should start regulating there kids better take some responsibility and dont blame society for every little problem your having with your child.

  • okay the only way a video game is going to efect someones state of mid is if they have a mental problem or brain chemical imbalence

  • finally som1 with a brain

  • Video games have an age rating. Parents that are worried about their kids playing violent or harmful video games are parents that can not control their kids. Parents have the authority to take away certain possessions of their kids, like video games, if your kid cries and begs you to give it back, simply say no and tell him.her why. Or another simple way is to sit down with your kid and discuss with them about the game itself, explain why it is violent and could be harmful towards them.

  • see the way the media puts things into its favour is it will say something completely irrelevant to the crime but still put it in there to make is seem relevant. this is shown with "7 year old gets into fight after playing halo 3". the two things are likely completely unrelated, but since whoevers writing the article doesnt like video games, hell do that to put it in his favour. if i didnt like donuts, i could say "rapist attacks after break at donut shop".

  • first of all finish with violence in cartoons you moorons, cartoons are mostly only for kidsy, violent video games are for 18+ people, so wheres the problem?

  • I played some Counter-Strike, and now I'm gonna go around and kill people? Don't think so...

  • I remember when I first saw the Terminator, and when the Terminator rose from the flames... It scared the shit out of me. Everyone reacts differently to everything. The one rule is that if you can't draw the line between fantasy and reality, you shouldn't be playing games or watching TV. I can tolerate game and movie violence to an extent, but I know the horror of real life violence.

  • It's the Fictional games that scare kids. Seeing someone shot when your 2 is weird cause they don't know what is happening while when seeing a alien rip off someones head by twisting it. You'll shit yourself

  • Parents don't understand that violence is inertly perceived differently among everybody. I played super-violent shooter games when I was 2. Did fuck me up. Saw Luke Skywalker get his hand chopped off. Had nightmares for weeks (although I love Star Wars nowadays). Violence is in the eye of the beholder. Personally understanding has always been important for me, so while I could pop a random no-name soldier in the head, I wouldn't care. But develop that character (Skywalker) and it affected me.

  • fucken stupid people. People who saying violent games is making my kid violent are either.

    1. are actually good parents who are confused about game like cod,l4d cause games like that weren't around in their time and cant relate.

    2. they are just bad parents looking for an excuses to why my kid gets angry at me.

    3. or just jealous they cant fuck bricks up like Mario can.

  • ive been playing BC2....MUST.... RESIST....URGE TO.... BUY A.....M3A3 BRADLEY!!!

  • that 10 year old kid is awesome for playing COD before number 4.

  • I PLAYED JUST DANCE AND MADE PPL HAVE SEIZURES DUE TO MAH MAD DANCIN SKILLZZZZ! ARREST ME!

  • are any actual parents watching this?

  • after i played mario i went on a rampage jumping on peoples heads 4 a week

  • @SuperMicklovin lolsauce

  • @SuperMicklovin After playing pacman I went around eating ghosts for a month. ...So, now who you gonna call?

  • @TheMrSpartanking haha niice

  • Comment removed

  • @SuperMicklovin did you take magic mushrooms?

  • @bladestar17 hell yes

  • What i find mostly hilarious is that the ones who've yet to even touch a video game are the ones claiming that video games are a conductor of violence. They have no real experience with the medium, but they're ready to point fingers and make assumptions. How disgustingly ignorant.

  • I played pong am I going to be a mass murderer?

  • @cantwellethan yes, im sending police to your location now to have u arrested

  • Video-games are a good way to let out that stress, not build it up.

I've been playing shooters for a while, and I don't really think about crap like, "I'm gonna kill you!"

  • violent video games actually relieve stress for me if im mad, like the times i get in verbal fights with my dad i would play dead rising and beat the shit out of the zombies and it made me feel alot less stressed, but no these dumbass kids have to shoot people in schools and ruin EVERYTHING for the rest of us, ive always loved drawing guns and people shooting zombies or battles and now if i get caught i get sent to the fucking office and sometimes theyll call the police and investigate

  • what is wrong with playing violent games i would never want to kill as guy.... i play gears of war cod dead rising manhunt gta ect and i dont have the erge to kill a guy people kill because they have medial issues like skits or they have to no games that have violence

  • i played Counter Strike 1.5 when i was about 4 to 5 years old and im not crazy

  • I played tetris then I started dropping blocks on people in color patterns.

  • @The1337guy1 Joke Stealer :-l

  • wow even i ve been playing video game since i was 4 ( am 16 btw ) and shooters always was the genre i hated the most it to repetive I rather games that has alot of adventure gamea like zelda , final fantasy , dragon quest or horror ones like haunting ground ( or a funny version like luigi s mansion )

  • -_-'' i have been playing shit like Grand Theft Auto since i was 10 years old, and even since i was 5 i would watch my dad play things like resident evil, all this stuff with bloody, "unpleasant" violence, and yet i am probably one of the least violent people you would ever meet. sure i like to talk about violent shows and games with my friends, but that doesn't mean i want to do it, i actually can't think of anything i want to do LESS than get into a real fight

  • Video games aren't going away - rather than fight it, work with it.

Check out the website at playitsayit com

The idea is to use video game consoles to help people by linking phone and online counseling through the actual console - it's already got voice chat, so it's no different to a phone. Do you reckon it would work?

  • im fifteen and ive been playing halo since i was six. this is really insulting because people are just saying im a crazy murderer just cause ive been playing doom and halo my whole life.

  • @MrShoomaloom hmm i know exactly what you meant, when me and my sister were 5, we would just watch my dad play Resident Evil 2 all the time, but i would never play it because. well. i was 5, and it was a horror game. but seriously, it's absolutely pathetic, ask ANYONE i know, and they will tell you how much i hate fighting. in fact the only time i ever wanted to really punch someone, and almost did, was because i was being bullied my whole life, and had nothing to do with any games.

  • I played violent video games all my life, watched gorey r18 movies when i was 9 or ten listen to the most aggresive music around, never did anything violent. Blame the people not the games or movies, if you're dumb you're gonna do dumb things regardless of what you watch, if you're smart you not gonna do that stuff.

  • Just spend more time with kids

  • after and during pubirty is actually tenns wanting porn and funny shit

  • i think the people that have not played video games get into more fights.

  • only reason y am so agreesive is becuse my parents beat the shit out of me. stuip white people

  • I don't think the problem is the game but the person. If the player has tendencies toward psychopathy, paranoia, and obsession (in other words, not right in the head) it could be problematic. But in the hands of a mentally capable person, it's fine. Some people blame stuff like Columbine on Doom and Marylin Manson, but I say the real problem is that loonies like Harris and Klebold had access to weapons, especially guns.

  • Im 12, i have played Halo since i was LIGIT 8 years old. My techers always say i have OUTSTANDING behavior all the time.

  • violent video games teach kids skills, if its the end of the world they know how to shoot a gun at the enemies.

  • @theplock99 and to use mushrooms to get bigger

  • @BladedArrowTBGamer Correct.

  • When I was younger I downloaded rated M pc games instead of buying crappy console titles that they didn't sell to me in the stores.

  • lol I'm 10 years old and i play mortal kombat armageddon lol

  • Hey, bitch number one, WHY THE FUCK DID YOU BUY A 10 YEAR OLD COD? WHAT THE FUCK? DON'T BITCH "O MY LITTLE JOHNNY PLAYS TOO MUCH COD" THEY FUCKING MAKE IT MATURE FOR A GOD DAMN REASON, AND IF YOU WANT YOUR KID TO DO GOOD, DON'T PUNISH THE FUCKING GAMING COMMUNITY BY YOUR IRRESPONSIBILE PARENTING, FUCK YOU FUCK YOU FUCK YOU

  • @sergaiey Get a brain buster COD is boring.

  • parents are just jealous because they cant 360 noscope like us.

  • @hudders123 AGREED.

  • @hudders123 lol

  • @hudders123 tru. tru

  • im the 11111 view

  • i hate it how parents JUST started to think about banning games but the think about any other important topics....

    Racism

    Global Warming

    War

    Economy

I swear people are idiots lately

  • @Eskimo407 It's just the "cool" thing to do atm. People are always influenced by others, group preasure etc. So if news or something else mentions it, or lawyers who has everything to gain on it, then they will jump on the bandwagon. It will pass eventuelly once the ignorant people learn that its not necesserly dangerous. And with not necesserly, i mean not at all. But yea, they are idiots.

  • I think that it's fine for kids to play violent games as long as they understand it's not real violence or fighting. Oh yeh and Halo 3 should not be rated M Uncharted 2 has more blood than Halo and Uncharted 2 is rated T

  • Well...let them play their kids lol

  • He's right about the part that some kids Handel it diffrent than other kids but the parents should not just buy any video games for their six year old because if they ban violent video games in America I would kill my self

  • I played halo 3 and then I went to space and slaughtered thousands of aliens with lasers guns

  • These Violent video games must end! WE must change the programming of our mass world media and prohibit violence which influences each subconscious mind with very ugly visions which make us forget who we are and who created our life source and it also weakening our love nature, which is our true nature! If we cannot change the media, then we must start to remove ourselves from their influence. These video games are making children more violent, aggressive and abusive. Have you not realized that?

  • @ElitePirate296 i laugh assuming this is sarcasm

  • @ElitePirate296 violent video games are prohibited in california i think..if not its some state anyway its compltely retarded...its the parents fault......... spend time with your kids

  • If a kid isn't violent by himself and doesn't have any serious mental issues, there's absolutely nothing for parents to worry about, IMO.

Also, Tom&Jerry is a whole lot more likely to cause violence than GTA.

  • Well maybe if the parents looked at the rateing we woulden't have this problem but for some overly retarded reason us mature gamers are copping the shit because 8 year old Billy's mum brought him an MA game thank you little twats

  • People just want sumthing 2 blame it on, they tried music that failed, they tried tv that fell through etc and the new thing is games. I'm positive it will fall away and sumthing new will take it's place I garuntee it my guess is oranges promote violence and prosthetic limbs are the cause of people swearing.

  • woah that ticked my brain jeeee i shouldent du this :(( im only 10 im sorry mum and dad

  • I'm afraid of these kind of games, this would give me nite mare

  • well put

  • this guy is awesome, he is one of the first dudes who actually think what they are saying, you know.

  • ahhh dudes i play liek call of dutyz evaryday sice i was liek 9z!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and i am supar aggrasive rite nao!!!!! not...

  • OMG, guys i jast like played like call of dutyz, yew know the one aboutz histori and about like world wars , like them documantaries on tv, where no violence or stopid crap exast, and i just like wannna go running with a flame trowa yelling LEROY JENKINS!!! and burn all them people in my neighboorhood, cuz like mom took my video game away, cuz she saidz is violent, soo i washed tv and i like wanna burn something now. k bye!!

  • answer is NOOO!

  • It's great seeing an intellectual like this guy making an unbiased statement about Fantasy vs. Reality. Also, he's not on a biased show like Fox News or whatever so he actually had a chance to extend his theories without getting cut off/interrupted.

Ive played pretty much all of the Resident Evil and Silent Hill games. I remember Freshman year at HS we were in shop class and a classmate cut his fingertip on a sander. Seeing the blood made me a little sick... and those games had a LOT of blood.

  • you know, everytime i play a zombie game, i want to eat brains

  • They should be more worried about the Iraq war causing violence in children (instead of promoting them to fight it).

  • Maybe the game provides an outlet for certain impulses, that it fills a void in our genetic makeup that the more civilizing effects of society failed to provide for.

Who says society is getting anymore violent rather then what is consistent with higher population.

  • Games have a T or M rating for a fucking reason....

  • are so many parents obsessed with violent games...then I must be really lucky...I can play whatever I want...but my friend isn't allowed to play unreal...and he is 16...

  • I Played a video game then i killed everyone!!

  • kool! which game was it? @applefrog111

  • @pithie84

It was CoD4 after playing it a became an evil demon and killed everyone i saw.

  • @applefrog111 URE UNDER ARREST! LOL

  • @TheEZPAXIIChannel

It's not my fault i killed everyone...It's the games fault.

  • @applefrog111 hahaha

  • Thank You Les Paul...THANK YOU.... that is the most awesome answer I've heard. You hit the nail on the head.

  • Parents: Do you want your kids to be stable, healthy and non violent? That's easy. Step 1: Spend quality time with them. Step 2: Learn to play Halo. Step 3: Don't let them play like 10 hours a day. Step 4 (The most important): Take all psychiatric drugs, all the Xanaxes and Valiums and Prozacs and Ritalins and throw them on a pyre. Don't use pills to mess with your kid's brain chemistry.

  • @LesPaul2006 You sir, should be entitled a medal.

Too many parents shuv their kids off to video games so they won't have to spend extra time with them and then wonder why they may become aggressive to the point of murder. Others are so stupid that they let their 6-year old play games like Counter-Strike or Call of Duty.

Removing such games won't change anything. Movies would be the instant substitute. It's up to the parents to help develop a stable environment in which the child grows healthy.

  • @LesPaul2006 Learn to play halo :0 HILLARIOUS

  • finally somebody talking about violence in games with a mind

  • i feel as if society is trying to destroy violence

that is impossible kids are interested because the violent video games are a way to exert the violence that every person has

  • Remember it is your decision but check a website to see what is bad about it. When I was younger I hated not being able to play some things.

  • See also parents the esrb said if there is a game where you have to learn how to use a gun and shoot someone or something alive, excluting hunting games, are going to be rated M. Choose when you want your kid to play these games. Like he said violence at what age should kids see it. GTA is one story sex shooting civilians going to jail and things bad. Id say probably a little older for that game but Halo, Call of duty, Medal of Honor, etc. I would say around teens there not graphic.

  • The thing is if you cant tell the difference between a video game and Virginia Tech then you probably have a mental problem of some sort

  • violent games doesn't do shit to kids

all the fun games are the violent ones

god of war, mortal kombat, mgs, gears of war, halo, gta, and the list goes on

  • people like to talk way too much,

Should Parents Worry About Violent Games?

    answer: NO.

    the end

  • It's all just fabricated lies, video games do not cause violence! There is as much proof for video game violence as there is for Jesus, Atalantis and Santa combined!

Comic books also used to receive this same treatment by the media and now we do not even hear about comics any more, AND comics do not have an age rating...

  • i am not being rude,just firm.

  • oh shut up with this crap.unless ur a parent or gardern u should get a life and leave kids alone. not all kids play games and get influenced. i play M rated games and i am fine. i get good grades, barley get in trouble and i am not rude unless i want to get my point across. u might ask, how old am i but that is not ur bussness, as u do not no me and thats not ur responcability, period.

  • The reasons kids play M rated games is because they are the good ones. What 15 year old wants to play "Dora's exploration adventure!"

I mean, wtf? You want violence? Join the fucking Military and grab a rifle and kill motherfucker. Video games aren't violence, the REAL world is violence.

Why don't you stick your head back in that pile of dirt and let intelligent people do the talking.

  • Comment removed

  • if parents don't want their kids exposed 2 violence they need to watch what they're kids watch. Im sick of it as hell because the parents let the kids play gta and halo and blame it on videogames when they let the kids play the damn thing. it pisses me off

  • If parent don't want their kid to be exposed to violence the answer is simple. USE A CONDOM. This world is f**ed up, anbd there's violence everywhere.

  • the only reason people blame video games for children violence is that its easy to blame. the only reason for children being violent is either mental problems, or bad parenting. no one is that stupid to club someone in the head like u do in gta. games r just an escape from real life like reading and other hobbies

  • One of the main reasons for violence in kids (if not the biggest reason) is one and only one: PSYCHIATRIC MEDICATION.

  • my parents dont give a fuck on what i play because im not stupid to think on shooting everyone on the street.

  • exactly, every bad thing that happens on the news like shooting or something, the people dont care the blame it on the game, and your point is correct people are to paranoid and when you play these games they think you woulds shoot everyone if you get mad.

  • What the hell is this?! Guys if you think this is bad message my bro. Thevidviewer.
