@GroovingPict Hard to see and not much of a trick, but this is showing how a cork in a glass of water that is less than 100% full can float from side to side. whereas a cork in a glass that is slightly MORE than 100% full will be pushed to the center of the glass.

explanation:

If we fill a glass cup to the brim, the water will bulge up making the center the highest point. A piece of floating cork will float near the center. If we fill the water up, but not to the brim, the water near the glass will be higher than in the middle, so the cork will float to the glass.
