  • Rich Robinson was jealous of Marc, he was the one who kicked him out of the Crowes!!!!!!!

  • What a shame the Crowes never used any of Marcs' writing skills. The man writes some nice tunes. A crime they didn't use him to their full advantage. Were the brothers afraid his songs would be favored by some? Huge dumbass ego move on that one.

  • Marc Ford was being wined and dined by Guns and Roses when Izzy Stradlin left Guns and Roses, so the bozo down below who acts like Ford wouldn't have been discovered without his time in the Black Crowes is clueless. Ford felt the Black Crowes had more room for him to grow, and less ego. He was correct, for a while anyway. But, make no mistake, his guitar playing was going to end up in someone's band, it just happened to be to the Crowes gain. And Marc's. No point in thinking Ford got lucky.

  • Begining to think that Fords a natural predecessor to Billy G. when it comes to

pure tone. He's always been nothing short of sweet.

  • just found out about this guy recently . . . (i know i know) but man i cant stop listening to him. he is by far my favorite right now.

  • how do you dislike this.....my favorite guitarist, and a good friend. all around awesome man.

  • He always makes me think of Zappa, only cooler.

  • the best guitarist under the radar.

  • You're entitled to be shortsighted if you'd like, but Rich Robinson never got hired by Ben Harper, Booker T., Lucinda Williams, and dozens of other people as well. Look at the big picture. If you don't like his stuff, that's your right, but he's got a great thing going on with his productions and performances.

  • @bkfindlay And honestly, Marc Ford should consider himself lucky being hired by Ben Harper, Booker T, Lucinda Williams, etc.....all because he played for Rich Robinson's band. While Rich Robinson might not have played for a lot of people like Marc has, the opportunities were presented to Marc because of playing for a band called The Black Crowes.

  • @ElHeffay1974 Actually, it's always been Chris' band, if you want to get technical. And a lot of folks forget that MF left behind a great band in Burning Tree to join the BC's, at Chris' request. To the point, trying to compare to 2 is pointless- they are truly apples and oranges, but my point stands- those artists aren't hiring Rich.

  • hahahaha

  • great feel in this clip

  • What does he do at 4:02 that sound is amazing.

  • Marc Ford rules.

  • another nice one Brother Alex!

  • anyone know what guitar hes playing? single cut with tremolo.. thats not a PRS... thats pretty interesting

  • I think its a 'James Trussart' custommade guitar. I could be wrong though. I know Marc uses them so it's my best guess.

  • it is indeed... thank you.

the maple fretboard was kinda odd but theres one just like this one on the builders website

  • It's a James Trussart with TV Jones pickups- Classics are my guess. Love that sound!

  • That kid you see with marc in the beginning is ryan bigham. He is gonna be a star. Watched him play a show with marc @ the king king in LA a week ago. He rocks and marc thinks the world of him.

  • what brand guitar is marc playing? Is it by chance a Brubaker?

  • The Crowes shoulda paid him extra and given him 6 wks paid vacation just to keep him around for that song along.
