  • 5 people slipped............

    ^__^

  • This is one of the best movies of all time.I heard there is a sexy ""LIMO RAPE SCENE"? Check out "Once Upon a Time in Mexico " .The 2 n d movie continue from Desperado ?

  • This was real epic! The power of cinema, power of Sergio Leone! Rest in peace...

  • If you ever want a good read, read The Hoods by Harry Grey. It's the book this movie is based

    from.It came out in the 1950s,the book,and I stumbled on it by accident.By the way,this is a

great movie also, one of the few of Jewish gangsters.

  • I love this movie, music ..............

  • Feel sorry for Dominic?

I feel sorry for that policeman, he didn't see that knife coming :L

  • LOL

  • this was one of the ONLY times ive cried during a movie, and ive seen alot of movies...

  • Poor little Dominic

  • i'm not so fond of the movie but this particular scene is amazing

  • Comment removed

  • you can forget the crap films that everyone says makes them cry. this one scene is enough to make me cry...and this isn't a family film

  • noodles was fucked up character but deniro really show the violent and disturbing character noodles was as he got older. i wouldnt be surprised if noodles got raped in prison that is why that rape scene when he is older is so brutal and realistic.

  • @Cluebert Yeah, that would have been a good plot twist..I was wondering why Dominic was not buried with the others or at least some kinda memorial..he was the first fallen soldier.

  • I understand there are different cuts of this movie..isn't there a scene where Noodles is on the roof and drops a gun down the chimney? I watched the 3:39 version and did not see it unless it's on another cut or I got my movies mixed up.

  • @theimmaculatecrown Easily done. You're probably thinking of De Niro's Vito in The Godfather 2 :)

  • @Noodles37UK Thanks, I just watched all 3 Godfathers.

  • @theimmaculatecrown

hahaah you Dumb Ass, thats The Godfather Part II you're talking about.

You see? your stupid comment just proved my point when I said this film copied The Godfather I & II.

This film is a Godfather wannabee.

  • This movie was AMAZING. Too bad the US distributors butchered it. It would easily have gotten at least 8 Academy Award nominations - Picture / Director / Actor (DeNiro) / Actor (Woods) / Score / Cinematography / Set Design / Screenplay. If nothing else, it should have won for Best Score and Best Cinematography. I remember in 1984 when Siskel and Ebert reviewed it and wondered why they cut so much out of the US version, and how the European version was so much better.

  • @wanaquian Cheers. This movie rates high on my list. Hence my username lol!

  • noodles RAPED deborah in the back seat of the limo.

    Very very sad scene.

  • @gfscarface13 Terrible.

  • @gfscarface13 Like a boss.

  • @WarThug13 What are you trying to say?

  • @gfscarface13 He raped her...... Like a boss.

  • Poor little Dominic

  • It amazed me how similar the kid actors looked to the adults

  • Shit I thought he was ganna end up shanking the horses too :p

  • Famous shot @ 0:05, and is that the Brooklyn Bridge?

  • This film is a Godfather wannabee.

  • @gfscarface13 you are retarded....

  • @gfscarface13 Are you serious? Or are you just an idiot?

  • @ErqTheJerk About?

  • @gfscarface13 This has been said very often now but Sergio Leone actually declined the offer to direct The Godfather so he could work on this film. Also, this film was based on a novel that was written before the Godfather.

And that's why I have to say you're wrong my friend.

  • @Pssybart As well as Many other Directors who declined it and leone said he Regret declining The Godfather later in life.

Thousands of novels were written before The Godfather Novel (1969) Film in 1972 so whats your point?

OUATIA was made in 1984, 12 Years after the Greatest Film Ever The Godfather.

This film is a Godfather wannabee.

And thats why I have to say you're wrong my friend.

  • @Pssybart What I meant was that Leone already knew what this film was going to be like before The Godfather, he had no intentions of copying it. If Leone had succeeded in finishing this film before The Godfather, you'd probably say the opposite.

And yes, I see similarities between OUATIA and The Godfather (especially part II) but they're still significantly different. To me both films are about as good, only OUATIA has remained more overlooked.

  • The scenes with cockeye playing his flute, brilliant.

  • Moricone is genius

  • You can forget the Godfather and movies like Goodfellas. This movie will be voted as the greatest of all time, in the English language, long after I have departed this life..Stunning in every way.

  • @Wallydaft Yes,this is one of the greatest movies of all time, but you're crazy to think it will make folks forget The Godfather or Goodfellas.

  • Una scena bellissima

  • I think one of the bests!!!

  • Yep sounds like a sergio leon film

  • Лапша, я подскользнулся...

  • Brilliant.

Film making just doesn't get any better than this. It's got everything, including the best musical score I have heard in a film.

  • sad story...but great movie...

  • このスロー・シーンと曲の入り方!泣ける~!!><

  • thats the best scene of the film

  • very sad part

  • who the hell shoots a little kid!

  • @joeblowthehot

Who the hell shoots a PERSON?

  • @Ragitsu YA!!! :D

  • i cryed like a lil baby at this part..boy ol kid got shot...:(

  • Noodles I slipped

  • ah,el hombre en ocaciones provoca al hombre sin pensar que las consecuencias pueden ser fatales,la venganza siempre debe ser brutal.

  • I know that when it came out in the States critics destroyed it.Post-production made many cuts changing the story. Right? Why?Was it too long for Americans?

Can some American answer please?.How dare a man do a thing like this to this movie? My friend from New York wanted to see the original in Italy when he was here almost 20 years ago.He didn't know that.He couldn't belive how wonderful was this movie. Now Sergio's gone and nobody can't destroy his movies anymore. He's so far from STUPID HUMANS.

  • The Greatest Movie Of All Time And The Greatest Scene In Cinematography...

  • thats the best scene of the movie

  • The music at :53 is great, but mildly histrionic and not suited to the scene.

  • masterpiece love this movie

  • does anyone know the brand of that stiletto?

  • @bosnia91 I'll ask Bugsy!!!

  • This should of got an oscar atleast nominated

  • @rianconnolly11

Oscars mean shit. The fact that this movie hasn't even nominated backs up my statement.

  • @rianconnolly11 Agree! I never knew this movie existed until I stumbled upon it in the public library by chance. This movie would be easily categorized as a New York gangster movie and the problem with that is, to quote some critic "Coppola has set the bar too high" For Leone to pull off something like this is really admirable.

  • It is a shame that the editing did not remove the sight of modern East Side buildings at 0.48. to 1.04. I doubt if they where there in early 1920's. Still one of the greatest movies of all time.

  • These boys are in way over their heads. That kid with the gun is a real monster. There's an earlier scene where they all get "worked over" by him and his crew."

  • @MondoBeno- That was a good scene too. I love how realistic the violence is in this movie, in my opinion ever more realistic than A Clockwork Orange.

  • Fuck ahhhh shit ahhhhhh noodles I slipped

  • the best scene ever made! noodles i slipped Thank Sergio

  • noodles i slipped

  • The little boy that fell!!!

  • 1:14 owned.

  • This movie is classic, I've seen it 100 times.."noodles, I slipped.." this is one of the best sceens....

  • Noodles " I Slipped "

  • That scene was the high point of the film. It gave a human face to so much violence.

Robert DeNiro's character carries the morals for this group all through the film, but he is edgy love it.

  • best cinema good

  • Man I have to admitted the part when the boy gets shot and de Niro palls him I slipped that's to drama I slipped open my eyes then I fall asleep a bit to cheesy

  • Poor Dominic :(

  • the 43 seconds in was just EPIC

  • ...

    "Noodles... I slipped"

    ...

That's why, when somebody near you pulls out a gun, if you're going to run, don't do it in a straight line. :(

  • it is the best movie ever and the music just unbelievable

  • great scene,i love this movie

  • Noodles: "I slipped" T_T

  • @NorthSea0il Gay comment.

  • @ 4cyX

Film making and story telling is an art but dumb people like you can't comprehend this. You better keep watching looney tunes!

Great scene and one of the greatest movies of all time.

  • @haiderrauf Hey Looney Tunes is great!

  • @haiderrauf Looney Toons IS art.

  • @haiderrauf Come on, I love Looney Tunes!

  • @haiderrauf Oh come on. Looney tones are funny :P

  • @haiderrauf was wrong with looney toons the stories aren't the greatest creeatin but the writing is still really good

  • I want to say that ridiculous at this stage.

Firstly; the killer In the first attack Had fired two times.

What is so interesting that the police do not hear?

Secondly;Nodless had the killer and the police are finished, stays only a police. Nodless and three friends, Do not finish the only one cop ?

  • @4cyX Allow me to explain why you are not the right audience for quality films.

First, you know nothing about film, and dare I say about art, and second, and this is where it gets really tricky for you, you cannot connect information received (two shots fired, for example), process it (the second shot killed him), and come to a conclusion ("the killer", his name is Bugsy by the way, must have missed the first time he fired). I will not even try to explain the rest of your questions.

  • @4cyX Lot of thing you can think maybe the police got bribe by the killer or maybe the story was made to be this way.

  • @4cyX Have you ever fired a gun? Have you ever been in a knife fight? Or at least actually seen a real life knife fight? If not then it's kinda difficult to explain. Cops? In reality cops have a tendency to wait out dangerous situations before stepping in, sorry but that's the reality that Sergio wanted to project.

  • Somebody knows if there's a version of that theme at the speed that CockEye is playing?

  • Movie is Gay

  • poor Dominic :,( bugsy sucks!

  • Perhaps the most epic scene EVER

  • best film i've ever seen this is in my top three films of all time.....

  • love leone's films and morricones scores.

  • ooooh goosebumps

  • ennino morricone is the composer-buy the soundtrack.

surprised scott tiller (young noodles) never became a bigger name.

  • the childhood sequnces are equal to the Godfather in cinematic grandeur, but the ending of this film is still maddeningly incomprehensible.

  • @moneymoreman yea i agree, the first half of the film is epic but the 3rd act is kind of weak. have u seen both versions? the one i saw has max jump on the side of a garbage truck never to be seen again and ends with deniro smiling in the opium den....very puzzling.

  • why does bugsy try to kill them again? i forgot

  • @Dod732 becasue they didnt kick up to johnny sac

  • why does bugsy try and kill them again? i forgot

  • @Dod732 they're doing jobs for other people after he already warned them not to

  • @ApplesLight i slipped, dumbass

  • so sad -.-

  • That's completely ridiculous - have you really watched this film?! Sorry, but you have really misunderstood it.

  • Money loving Jews and Italians doing what they do best. What do you mean? Go back to white suburbia, you WASP!

  • This is really the best and greatest film I have ever seen! I love it. Thank you very much for sharing!

  • I totally agree.

  • I saw the film, I understand it.

This film is about a Rapist Jew who Rats on his long time friends to the Police.

    Thanks for dropping by.

  • Yes, if you break it down to it's most basic element, but there's so much more to it than that -you obviously don't get it.

  • @gfscarface13 and for those who see things in color. its also about the life of a person who grows up during the great depression and makes a living off the streets. his decision to live a street life leads to his childhood love rejecting him and a jail sentence for killing bugsy that cements him into a life of crime he never gets away from until he rats on his partner and best friend to save his friends life.

  • @gfscarface13 So it´s a gaymovie.. :P

  • @gfscarface13 And you're a fucking Scarface fan you stupid piece of shit.

If you don't like it, atleast respect it. And don't lose your time making stupid comments. Stupid Moron.

  • @PTwolf Why do you have to be mean for?

Its just my opinion, everybody is entitled to their own opinion.

You could have just ignored my comment and thumbs my comment down.

  • @gfscarface13 Ok. You talk about this about the best movie ever made? Glad you like Scarface, although it does not succeed in my top 50. Scarface is more cliché-filled than this, now I believe.

  • @Zayrack The Godfather & Part II are my Favorite films. I think they're the Greatest Stories ever told on film.

  • @gfscarface13 Maybe you're right, but must not forget films like Once Upon a Time in America, Schindler's List, Goodfellas, and possibly The Usual Suspects.

  • @Zayrack I would buy OUATIA if not for the rape scene. Thats the only thing that keeps me from having it in my Gangster DVD Collection. I was dissapointed with The Usual Suspects, with all the hype and was just a let down. I love Casino, Goodfellas, Carlitos way, Witness to the Mob, Donnie Brasco, Gotti, Boss of Bosses, State of Grace, public enemies and other countless gangster films.

  • @gfscarface13 So ... you like movies that Public Enemies, Gotti and Boss of Bosses, and select the front of Once Upon a Time in America due. the rape scene? Dumbest I've heard. The film has everything. It has brilliant characters, a script of all time, plus it has a great pleasure from start to finish. The only thing I dare to have in the collection of those you mentioned, Casino, Goodfellas, Carlito's Way, Donnie Braso and possibly State and Grace. Sorry my bad english.

  • @Zayrack They should remake OUATIA, cause some scenes are very cheap and cheesy, like the shooting scenes, the blood looks very fake. Remake it without the rape scene.

  • @gfscarface13 Scarface is more false than this movie.

  • @Zayrack Not really, Watch a DVD called Cocaine Cowboys. It talks about Miami in the 80's about Cocaine, Disco music, Fast cars, Clubbing, beautiful girls, lots of gangsters killing each other for power. The Scarface character might be fake but everything in the film has happend.

  • @gfscarface13 Haha! I think you really think that Scarface was based upon a true story? Sorry if I did not understand the sentence, I am Norwegian. That Fidel Castro sent many foreigners to the United States, it is true, but not very much else in the movie? It's probably just a twist of Al Capone. Let me know if I have misunderstood.

  • @gfscarface13 Cocaine Cowboys is way awesome! Great that you liked it.

  • @gfscarface13 The rape scene was disturbing but it was there to reflect the character of Noodles. It was really disturbing........

  • Disgusting and Disturbing.

The Rape scene is not nessecary on film.

  • @gfscarface13 really an idiot.
