I have the answer to you guys. i have ios 5.0.1 AND stupidly tried it and failed as well. im only 11 but i can hack any apple/sony product so this is your simple answer from me. Plug your ipod touch into a pc, (even if it wont turn on), now the first thing u do after that is open up itunes. if ur ipod show up in itunes, select and it and restore ur ipod/iphone. if that still doesn't work email me at mrudrum20@gmail.com
