I have done a lot of research into acai berry, and yes these free trials are 100% scams. Money is taken out of your account every month, and you are sent poor quality product, so it won't work. It is also really difficult to contact the company to stop the payments.

Acai Berry is actually very good for weight loss and detox (due to it super high amount of antioxidants), BUT IT IS VITAL you know what to look for when buying. Check out my links for the information you need before buying any acai.
