  • this music makes me want to go and buy a bottle of Jeltzin vodka and just up my iq from 134 (currently) to 169

  • 2:09

that moment when your just like:

    .....well, shit.

    i hate that moment.

  • The Soviet Union collapsed because they stacked the blocks too high...clearly so.

  • the force is strong with this one

  • Linepeace...!

  • @bbop1013 nobody do it, its a time waster

  • @ryanster246 it's not like any body was going to.

  • @MrSquawkie true

  • @leppaberry that's b/c it is. It's a Russian ballet so it doesn't surprise me.

  • 1:10 irony! It say type A but the theme of type B plays, haha!

  • I really preferred the mac version of the music. Much higher fidelity.

  • I really hate those square blocks :P

  • 2:10 = shit happens ...

  • omg it's the nutcracker but russian!

  • @CMOODO You mean the Nutcracker wasn't Russian?

  • @argentum81

Oh lol didn't know it was

  • Haha I wrote those songs on the AdLib Synth chip.

  • hehe all nice

  • Hands down the apogee of Soviet gumption, up there with MIR and Sputnik. Kalashinkov and vodka too, which are nice but not recommended accessories to this game.

  • if only you could play this game as good as me.

  • yes the original !!!!! I LOVE THIS GAME!

  • russians invested milions in technology trying to invent mind control machine but little did they knew

Tetris controller the whole world and still does

  • fantastic game

  • LINE PIECE!!!!

  • The ultimate Soviet mind control device! I CAN'T LOOK AWAY!!!!!

In Soviet Russia, blocks stack YOU!

  • It is the music of the NES Tetris, and it is indeed Russian, at least the first song is. It is the dance of the sugar plum fairy from the Nutcracker Suite, written by Tchaikovsky, one of the most well-known Russian composers ever.

  • Oh gawdddd, this was my favorite song to use on here XD

Great to hear it again! <3

  • It was one game out of many others that I would just stare at the TV listening to the music

  • From Russia with fun!

  • ah, no C theme :(

  • at like 2:05 the C theme starts

  • This isn't the cersion im talking about. I want the one that is an excerpt from Bach's French Suite no. 3

  • ah i see

  • Alexey, my mistake

  • They credit Alexi in the title, nintendo was just behind the development of the title for their console, don't misunderstand

  • "Developer: Nintendo"? No way. Tetris is the brainchild of the great Aleksei Pajitnov, who made it in the Soviet Union in 1985. Not sure who actually made the original music. Legendary game of course.

Typical of the Japanese to hog all the credit, but I'm not complaining here. The music is just amazing.

  • tetris never excited me when i was little, but more recently i've found it to be an excellent cell phone game. great music though for sure.

  • why do people only make a song remix to song #2 of here ( i believe it is)....they should do it to the other 2...

  • Who has spented atleast 500 hours playing this game please raise your hand *everybody on youtube raises his hand*

  • I certinly have, although on gameboy.

  • Although I'm usually crucified for saying this, I was never a big fan of Tetris. It always got too monotonous after a while. The soundtrack is definitely awesome, though, and totally fit with the game.

  • I scratched my butt while reading this.

  • I feel so OLD! And I'm only 25!

  • Fuck, I am turning 29. I AM OLD!

  • I loved playing Tetris as a little girl and these songs make me feel silly inside of me.

  • You think the Soviet Union collapsed due to overexpansion of the military, pressure for more personal freedoms, nationalism, food shortages, and economic turmoil?

Capitalist lies; the USSR was just too busy playing Tetris to run the country.

  • LOL! xD

  • @BLARGHALT Remind me to bring this up to my history teacher in a month when I get back in school.

  • i really prefer Tetris II, the one that never made it to the states. Kallinka!!!

  • I love the 1st and 3rd peices.

  • I know this isn't the original, and it really doesn't stack up to the Tengen release for the NES, but it is the verion I had. I spent many many late nights playing this addictive game. I have to say I liked all the variations of the background music. Awesome game!

  • This doesn't look like the one i used to have? It was two player. But it wasn't tetris 2. Whats going on? LOL!

  • you probably had the tetris made by tengen. this is the improved re-release of that game

  • whats the second song played?

  • ohooo !!! gracias por subir estooooooooo

  • OMG what's the third song? It's beautiful!

  • my whole family will play this game for game boy, it's the only game jack thompson would say it's not the devil :D

  • the best one starts at 3:09

  • the third song used to be hold music for when you called nintendo game counselorsback in the early 90's, i should remember called 50 times a day lmao

  • Thanks Russia =D

  • 2:00 nice

  • what is the third music type c of the game? (NES version not Game Boy version).

  • Is the third song based on a real one? If so which one?

  • I'm PRETTY sure it's the only Tetris song that isn't based on a real song.

  • I always liked the third music.

  • It's the only one I used...it used to make me super relaxed though. Almost trance like. It's a beautiful work, no matter who put it together

  • tho the megaman song is so much better xD

  • I didn't know about the NES version, and I found weird that you decided to do a Tetris music video without its most famous theme, the "russian" type A aka Korobeiniki, which millions of people heard countless times while ordering bricks on their game boys =).

Anyway, excellent job on those vidos.

  • I think he just wanted to spare everyone from tearing their hair out over hearing that song again. lol.

  • I remember the third song being The song A in the Tetris my Godmother had. I liked it as being something different from the Russian A.

  • I'm more acquainted with the gameboy version. I also had Mario Land as well so I played both like crazy on those long road trips.

  • I think everyone of us remembers this as a kid. Fuck man, we're in our 30's now. Where did the time go?

  • LOL, I know, I'm 21 but I remember playing Tetris all those years ago! Love it!

  • thank god im not 30 yet :D

  • they are all great, memories

  • i like the first one alot ^_^

  • That song is from "The Nutcracker" ballet. The song is called "Dance of the Sugar-Plum Fairy".

  • I like the third one its peaceful and suspenseful for some reason

  • The second song is pretty popular, as it was in this Tetris game, and the GB game... And SSBB!

  • first comment......? damn what's happened to the world. Anyway thanks for all this wonderful sharing I love you
