Playing the newer games, I can just go out and say confidently that no Ratchet & Clank game to date has ever had such a memorable soundtrack, straight up there with Sonic and Mario. Now, the music is nice, but for the most part lacks the memorable and unqiue qualities that made these tracks so damn good.

Nostalgia? Maybe. But I'll be damned if I didn't think this was good music just because it WAS.

@CommanderZylo Insomniac always have had great level design, especially in the original spyro games. I always liked the spyro levels where you look up in the sky and see various planets, so mystical:) It's hard to believe that they transitioned from innocent spyro to Ratchet and clank in a matter of a few years.

Ahhh... Novalis.. a beautiful panet, sadly being ripped to shreds by the Blarg. I remeber those temple buildings, ameboid infested caves, lush countyside and large city of tall sharp skyscrapers over in the pasture.

I was a little disapointed that the following ones were turned more into ego shooter-like games, which happened due to fan requests, as I found out - for the mixture of using weapons and doing jump'n run stuff has always been what I loved most about the game. Nevertheless the other parts (I only own 1-3 yet) are very entertaining so I can still recommend them to you. =) R&C is one of the most beautifully and interestingly created game series I know!
