My mother and I , my neighbors and I , my daughter, son, sister....we all talk about the issues and we solve nothing. The only diffrnc between us and our congressmen, councilmen, senators, is that they are all on salary. They get no more done than I do. I vote out of respect for those who fought for me to keep that right. I am ashamed of my gvnmt....but I'm proud of our troups. Good luck to us all.
we need to fight and get these bastards out of our government. It is our right and our duty to to over throw the government when our constitiution is perverted. Can anyone say guillotine.
We need to assure the millions of illegal aliens that they are part of the system, too. That way, millions more illegals can receive free health care. Like all those illegal aliens who clean the White House and clean the toilets of all those Congressmen.
We need more entitlements. Thats the only way to force the government to work for the people. The US already pays 2/3's of the UN's operating costs each and every year to ensure the poor nations remain poor. Its become a "Ponzi Scheme" So, lets take back our money and ensure that EVERY american receives maximum entitlements. I love the idea of the government being made to work for me. Seeing how they give each other pay raises while they raise my taxes. Yes. More entitlements.
Actually, the Bush administration has done more tax cuts than tax increases. On top of increasing government expenditures, our national debt and obligation has increased enormously. If the US doesn't do something to reign in costs, we're estimated that tax will need to hit 40% by 2030 just to make ends meet. With that being said, the current healthcare reform bill that is in progress in the senate seems to do a good job of providing some universal healthcare without bankrupting us all.
I will be cashing in my retirement account and purchasing a rental for my property and home which is already paid for. I would much rather pay higher property taxes and collect a consistant monthly rent than to deal with worthless money anylonger. Earning money and saving it is a scam, anylonger. As each day passes it accumulates more worthlessness. God bless the USA.
I'll be working a US job while telecommuting from China. After the exchange rate and adjusting for cost of living, I am doing extremely well. =) best of both worlds.
Every other advanced nation has some form of single payer, except us. We are the ONLY people who risk losing our home, life savings, and bankruptcy just because we get a serious illness. This is a national disgrace! While insurance companies are seeing the greatest profits ever, over 80% of Americans file bankruptcy per year because they need medical care to keep living. This politician, just like all of us, have become slaves to the almighty corporations of America. Wake up - Medicare FOR ALL!
Uhm, I'm all for healthcare reform, but your "80% of americans file bankruptcy per year" is a tad high. Do you mean 80% of bankruptcies are due to medical costs?
Freedom of choice should come first, no plan should be mandated. Any plan that is mandated for All Americans must include our representatives in Washington. If you are going to take our freedom to choose away, you must deny it for yourselves as well. To insure whatever plan you foist upon the common man is fair to all you must equally participate in it to. You are our representatives; you can not be expected to represent us if you exclude yourselves from participation
If health care is a right than paying more taxes one sneaky way or another is how it will be paid for. How will the needy pay for their health. By binding another fellow citizen to their debt. How is that right, free, or a privilege. No health care is a matter of self-reliance like fueling your car or paying your rent. Not all of us are rich and can pay for another as well as ourselves to have health care. Where does social justice end and when does self-reliance begin. To many entitlements.
A lot of the current reform is focused on streamlining the system so that more care can be provided at lower cost. As for providing insurance for the extra 9% of citizens who are currently too poor to have it (about 15% of Americans are currently without insurance), part of it actually saves money, because if poorer people see doctors more often, they are less inclined to go to emergency rooms last minute which is really expensive.

"...80% of Americans file bankruptcy per year because they need medical care..."
My full statement clearly encompasses "medical costs".
