  • "Obama in appointing Immelt last January praised him as a business leader who "understands what it takes for America to compete in the global economy." Apparently, what Immelt understands is that what it takes to satisfy corporate interests instead of national needs is conning a president into looking the other way while you send jobs abroad." --Robert Scheer, Huffington Post

  • I Believe This Was A Video Clip Of ABC News' ABC World News With David Muir's Weekend Edition's Report On GE CEO Jeffrey Immelt Travels To Japan To Address Nuclear Crisis On Saturday Evening, April 2, 2011.

  • Holy shit, what's with that scaremongering. It's not highly radioactive water, it is MILDLY radioactive water. -_-

Easily confused only be the American MSM.

  • whatever its all bad

  • This is a pretty impressive demonstration of the ability of engineers to design remarkably safe nuclear power plants. I mean, a magnitude 9.0 earthquake, the largest that has ever hit Japan in it's recorded history, AND a mega tsunami hit this thing, and it didn't break in a catastrophic way right away. Even now, it leaks only minor levels of radiation. That's impressive. Name any other building on the entirety of the planet that could withstand that much trauma, you'll have a very short list...

  • @KBekman that's pretty cool alright. a 9.0, a tsunami and 6 to 8 giant cracked reactors. It's way past 4 chernobyls and it didn't break immediately, like those 3 puny World Trade Center buildings on 911. This reactor will keep giving and giving. Right now there are over 600,000 little erasure head plutonium pellets scattered like little Jesus Easter eggs in every direction. And God knows what more to come.

  • @IExposeMormonism You don't seem to understand my point. All that stress, and the only major impact of this will be a few brave engineers will die prematurely of cancer, which is a sad loss, but minor considering the whole earthquake and tsunami killing tens of thousands of people. Oh, and babies cant drink tap water for a few weeks and don't fish in that area for a while. My point is nuclear is not the problem, the tsunami is the problem and nuclear is actually pretty safe.

  • @IExposeMormonism And Chernobyl was SOOOOO much worse than this, dont take my word for it, do some research. And don't say dumb things like "way past 4 chernobyls and it didn't break immediately, like those 3 puny World Trade Center buildings on 911;" that's like saying a half a pear is way past 4 pears and 3 unicorns. First, you're wrong, and what does September 11th have to do with any of this?

  • @KBekman Lets see, you said "Impressive demonstration of ...engineers to design (a) remarkably safe Nuke...". Then You mention "Buildings" and "Trauma". You did. And this entire Fukushima complex of necessity will be buried under concrete. All of it. And those 600,000 little erasure head plutonium pellets (and counting) await you. And the 2 nukes up the street are going off now, too. and the 125,000,000 (million) gallons of water and counting is good for three eyed fish, so have at it.

  • @IExposeMormonism If they need to bury Fukushima, whats the big deal? It will be an accident that was contained. And 600,000 plutonium pellets will await no one, they await concrete or water, whichever is deemed appropriate. Also, they're dumping 3 million gallons, not 125 million, and they're dumping it into an ocean with 187 quintillion gallons of water, so its gunna get real dilute real fast. So sorry, the fish only get two eyes, which is kinda a shame, they look funnier with 3.

  • @KBekman 12 thousand tons it's approx 24 million gallons. Not to mix apples and pears, The Only place I come across the word Quintillion is in "Derivatives" And Astrophysics."We"the people now owe certain peoples some $Quintillions thru derivative losses thru the likes of Bears Stern, AIG, etc. When I put that $quintillions and 24million gallons of funny fizzy drinks and stir it, it has a funny smell. When I put187 quintillion gallons with the 5 or so $Quintillion of derivitives::someone owns US

  • @IExposeMormonism Sorry, wrong source, its 35,000,000,000,000,000 gallons of water in the Pacific Ocean. the ocean is REALLY big and gallons are not. 30 or 3 million, it wont make a difference, it'll dilute, the fish will be safe, I promise.

  • @KBekman All I said was 12thousand tons =approx 24 million gallons. I didn't argue with the 187 quintillion gallons in the ocean.

  • Some really hot surfing there. EPA wants to increase the minimum amount of safe radiation. Sieze them. as well as HAARP and the Navy and DaRPA that caused it. I wish i were kidding. Go ahead try to insult me, tell on yourselves. Evidence is obtainable in what i said. over and out.

  • no one knows what it is doing to the fish, really, is it that hard to figure out

  • His company built the reactors, Immelt is as qualified to speak on Nuclear reactors as BP is qualified to speak about deep water drilling. Immelt should focus on tax evasion and other subjects he knows about.

  • This is bullshit. Right now all nations should end war and get busy cementing that dirty nuke and evacuating Japan. Instead were getting press releases and photo opportunities. Humanity is sick to put up with this nonsense.

  • so why did they send Immelt?, to show them how to pay no taxes and, get a giant refund?...(he did it for GE)

  • Everyone knew that stuffs made by USA in the 1970 are junks. If you are not sure, just search for Ford Pinto.

  • What do we have to worry about? Remember how forth coming the company was about the oil spill in the Gulf? Think the company that built and owns these reactors are more forth coming? Do you think they forgot about all the money they will loose, the lawsuits..remember these people don't care about the planet or it's people, they are profit driven. Sure they will tell you exactly how serious this is...NOT. Evacuate Japan !!

  • When Obama visited India, Jeff Immelt was also there, India and US has signed a civilian Nuclear Deal, Jeff was there to see that GE gets the contracts to build the Nuclear reactors in India.

  • Im scared because I live in Seattle. I don't know whether to believe that the radiation over here is minuscule or if its not.

  • @24xEBK

Any level of radiation is not good for you.

  • @babyjustwin1 of course but in places like colorado people are exposed to more radiation because of their elevation but its not like people are dropping dead so im wondering is this really serious or not.

  • @24xEBK it is however very serious.

  • @24xEBK there is no reason to be scared, theres nothing you can do about it. if things turn deadly were do you wanna run? the moon?

  • I hope Jeffery "I MELT" gets raped in the ass with radiation.

  • They're running out of time to sarcophagus the reactors. :(

  • Create Mt. Fukishima! NOW!...Sand, cement...front loaders, cranes, whatever it takes!

Then...cement the holes that go into the ocean...this is not rocket science!!!

  • BURY THAT SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The best job in the future will be an oncologist, a MD who specializes in cancer care.

  • If Immelt stands behind his beliefs, then he should join the workers at that plant, put on a respirator and help with the clean-up, which may take a decade, instead of meeting 'officials', while simultaneously laying off 17,000 GE workers in the US. The unmitigated gall of this person can only be trumped by the President who appointed him as the new 'job czar'. Only Donald Trump could surpass even this idiocy.

  • Where the hell did they think all the water was going to go??? Damn a 5yr old knows water don't run up hill..... This is just a cover-up in the worse way. Japan and the United States have not seen the end of this,... It will turn out to be the biggest problem this country may face this whole year... When all 4 meld down... The oceans are history.... have fun with your Safe Nuclear Power.... What a damn shame...

  • @2xtream dead oceans is a dead planet, its not only a problem for Japan and the US.

  • @Xc31 Bingo!!! and what is why is said (The oceans are History)... And if you wish to go further the Bible teaches that in the end times (I believe were in) 1/3 of the Oceans will die.... Could this help tie that in along with the BP spill ?? I say yes... Corexit is listed as the 4th most deadly poison made on earth, DDT is ranked around 49th... So what has man accomplished with all his wisdom? How to destroy the earth and the people living on it. Greed is the Root of all evil...

  • @2xtream

Honkies are root of all evil. It's the honkies that created all these poison and PURPOSEDLY killing everyone including their own kind.

  • @ThePirateship2010 It seems you know nothing of history... you better go look into the mirror....

  • @2xtream

Yes, East Asians have annihilated you honkies. Frankly, I don't know how y'all sprung back up again.

  • @2xtream Instead on looking on a brighter side you looking at the worst. Your going to hell.

  • @BmCNinJa Ok I'm sorry please tell me the brighter side of Nuclear Poisoning, where Millions will be effected, Thousands will die. That is a bunch of Chicken Shit I don't know how to turn into Chicken Soup, sorry. But the reason I'm so mad is.

Japan like America covered it up, which puts many thousands in harms way for many years to come. If there is a Damn Problem Tell the People so we can take appropriate actions. But what do they do? Raise the Safe Radiation Levels in food and water. FAILURE!

  • @2xtream That is not what I mean. I mean you saying oh the bible says this and that and the world is going to end. If your such and expert and keep whining and complaining why don't you make a difference then...? instead of bitching like a little idiot in front of screen. Instead of supporting you bitching moaning like it's going help. wtf do you mean by "Raise the safe Radiation levels in food and water? there is no such thing there a legal limit in radiation you cant change that.

  • @2xtream Why don't you go and search around watch and read news, instead of ranting like a little bitch. You might actually learn that they are not only dealing the nuclear crisis but searching for thousand of missing people from the tsunami. Have you have any Idea how many refugee that need food and supplies over there can you even grasp the number? This is just like getting hit in the face and while down get kick multiple times. A volcano also have erupted on southern japan.

  • @2xtream instead of bitching like a little bitch show some understanding and stop ranting like you know everything. You say FAILURE what have you done?

  • @BmCNinJa you need to stick with what you know son. Go play wow and leave the grown up stuff to grown-ups...

  • @2xtream Oh now we move on to insult. yeah very mature. You call yourself grown up when all you are doing is bitching ranting on comment board. wow nice you are my hero. I actually do play wow and I will go play now, meanwhile say more useless crap.

  • @BmCNinJa anyone that would believe what the government tells them is still under heavy psyop brainwashing. This is not the time to hold hands and sing Kum ba yah. People are dieing because the governments did not act! They do not want to cause a panic... It's a little late for that, the crises is hear and it's time to deal with it... This tragic accident is nobody's fault except the Nuclear Power people, they know it's poisoning the people. But They still deny Chernobyl was a problem!

  • The government, by confiscation of huge sums of money by taxation, has the power to decide what subjects shall be investigated in science and other fields, who shall be permitted to do the investigations, what results are desirable, and what results should never see the light of day. Nuclear power is a symptom of a very serious problem: total control of what knowledge is generated and is acceptable!!!!!

  • 春 is here, 2011, it is time for the government of Japan to stand up, to defy US pressure & plant HEMP 麻 all around the Fukushima area. "Hemp is proving to be one of the most phytoremediative plants we have been able to find" -Slavik Dushenkov. "In Belarus, site of the original Chernobyl disaster, they are not only using the hemp to clean up the soil, they're making money on the processing of that hemp into biofuel" -Russ Belville. Think job creation, soil cleansing & human DNA protection!

  • Send Jeff I Melt-down to fix the crack. Lets get the pro-nuclear lobby and those who have profited from nuclear technology to personally clean up the mess.

  • GEs JUNK CRAP
