Just found an article from last yr that says that she married an accountant, had kids and gave up the music business when she was right on the verge of making it in the US. The promised 3rd album never happened. She has not done any work in music in years. What a heartbreak for those of us who LOVE her music....

Somehow I got her CD years ago at a Lillith Fair concert and it has always been one of my very, very favorites. I just found her version of "To Romana" this morning on Youtube- OMG! Gorgeous! I pray that she will return to the world of producing more of this beautiful music- to withhold is to deny God-given talent that she has from the world! I LOVE her lyrics, her voice, her beauty (including her hair!) & HOPE that she might be a woman-loving woman- more power to her! (In response old posts)

I was fortunate enough to receive a demo copy of this while working in a music shop when it was released. Loved it so much I was sure to purchase a copy. For many years it was a regular in my CD rotation...now just rejuvinated and found it`s way back onto rotation! Fantastic album! Fabulous artist!

She is such a gifted singer-songwriter. Her lyrics and melody offer stirring images are beauty and joy. I believe she's back home in Ireland. Is she singing and in the recording studio ? She should return and share her talent with the world.

Sinead Lohan is one of the most OVERLOOKED superb artists around. I've rarely heard a more classic line: "Take this morning, say it walks on water, or whatever that helps you to believe. But you will find me, down by river, getting high on my mortality." I sent her a complimentary message once on Myspace and she had the kindness to reply. She conveyed the feeling that she was no longer interested in big time recording. Let's hope that new album is really coming out!

Apparently there's an entire album done, in the can, for a number of years now - might have been again with Malcom Burn? But not released... and she was the subject of a bidding war in the mid-90's - signed by Interscope - that resulted in No Mermaid. She toured in the late 90's on her own and on Lilith Fair, had kids... anyone who can provide more info, please do!

God I hate it when an artist releases quality work but then vacates the universe and chooses to live life from there on out as a hermit. I don't really like Sinead Lohan.. But it's a disservice to her fans to be innactive.. I'm wondering what reality enema it will take to give an artist like this the confidence to produce good work again. I'm taking the angry side because sweetness doesn't seem to be working here..

The work I am speaking of is "Just enough for the city", which his engineers felt he lacked the certain anger in his voice to make his song expressive. So they misplaced his coffee, moved his braile books, just little things to frustrate him..

Good art can come from anger and frustration.. Fleetwood Mac's Rumors and Tusk are proof. And all the Billy Joel during his unfair record contract. which was the 70s.

Sinead had a baby in 2001 and in 2004 teamed up again with Malcom Burn who produced her No Mermaid album. The album was completed in January 2007 and was to be released later that year. But it is still forthcoming according to Malcom Burn's discography on his official website.
