  • times up!.lets do this!.LEEERRROOOYYY JENNKKINNNNSSS!?!?!

  • @thegermanempirerocks r u a neo nazi and the war of 1812 was against England who controlled Canada also native Americans

  • now that gentlemen, is what i call MARATHON PRO.

  • (cont).. Watch 'Band of Brothers' and take in the long slog for the duration starting in stateside training. Characters are closly based on real people and we see so many levels of men developing through uncertainty. I think this series gives us a damn good look at every aspect of waiting, fear, letting off steam, professionalism, easing the tension with humor and tears. Damn wars bring it all to the surface; a good film is worth a watch and comment. Wish there were more films from everywhere.

  • @MrDarwinsDog - Future Coast Guard, very well said

  • Okay, my turn - ex US Coast Guard here. I read alot, watch a lot, think maybe too much. Put cultural differences, politics, histories, blood n' guts aside and in the best 'war stories' you get some of the most honest, deepest glimpses into people at their best and worst, most human and even humane. Watch, 'Saving Pvt Ryan' for the dialog of bonding. Watch 'Apocalypse Now' for the weird tightening of screws in a very foreign place (for Americans just out of school, "errand boys" indeed)..(cont)

  • Why are some people on the comment section of this vid playing the devil's advocate? An ignorant one at that...The Band of Brother's series specifically, alongside other great WWII movies such as Saving Private Ryan are meant to tell a STORY! No one is saying that the other Allied Nations didn't have a part in the war. Seriously, some of you people need to either wise up or shut the fuck up. It's annoying and frustrating to see citizens of OUR OWN country be this hostile towards it.

  • this is when the american soldiers are mans ....Great warriors ....Great generation ....Today generation?= pussys....and kids...

  • @MonkeyDCamacho kids? they're pretty much the same ages. 18 or 19- the mid twenties? yeah same ages.

  • This series was about one Company in World War II from the 101st Airborne and is very well executed and based on the book of the same title. If you want to see a movie about the Allied Operation on D Day try "The Longest Day" made in 1962.

  • @Craftsman51 Is that about the 2nd Ranger Battalion at Pointe Du Hoc?

  • No point trying to tell an american person about the war because all they think is we won the war, and thats why most films are about american troops.

1.They only came into the 1st and 2nd world wars practically at the end.

  • @kalphite1 or perhaps America makes films about American Soldiers? Am I seeing a connection? I think so.

  • @kalphite1 the japanese attacked pearl harbor in 1941 the war "began" in 1939. seems like the damn near beginning to me. and the american troops covered a lot of ground. they dominated in the pacific.

  • @kalphite1 And once we came into the wars it turned the tide. I hate people like you that just want to be the devil's advocate. It seems in movied like we won those wars because we did. America is a center of industry with the most powerful military in the worlda and it has no close seconds except for the Soviet union when it was at the height of its power. The French were essentially worthless, witht their resistance more effective than their military, and the English just hid on their island.

  • @kalphite1 Hmmm, let's do the math here, at least in regards to WW2. War "began" in 1939, lasted till 1945. That's 6 years. America joined the war officially after Pearl Harbor on Dec 7, 1941. Seems like USA joined at the middle or right before the middle at the very latest, not at the end. And we covered ALOT of ground.

  • @kiddcody2001 You know what you can SCREW OFF. America was being pussy saying O.k a war started lets sit back and enjoy the show. And then they say that they WON the war seriously the CANADIAN'S AND BRITISH AND OTHERS TOOK THE MOST GROUND WE COULD HAVE WON THE WAR WITHOUT AMERICA. Also JUNO BEACH which the CANADIANS had to take was considered the hardest beach to take and lost the least amount of men, while the Americans lost like 2000 and charged through it like freaking no man's land!

  • @TheGermanempirerocks and my last comment was for kalphite1

  • @TheGermanempirerocks your so dumb, if it wasn't for us Britain would not exist to this day if we sat back and did nothing your pussy as country would either belong to Germany or us so you should stfu and learn your place

  • @xdragonslayerxxx Why don't you shut the fuck up calling Britain a "pussy ass country"? And you could have come like 5 years earlier and "save us".

  • @berserker276 lol you just helped prove my point and how you got put down by the truth Britain was weak.

  • @xdragonslayerxxx I was being sarcastic..and I guess it would've been nice to know that America at least cared a little to come and help their allies when in need. By doing nothing it seems that America didn't give a shit if Europe had been totally destroyed. But if you hadn't come, for all we know, you "yanks" could've been speaking German as well.

  • @xdragonslayerxxx you do realize that today most countries have a better armed forces then the states now some may not be as big but they are better trained i know atleast up here in canada when you are in the army you are trained for more then one job you may be a riflemen but if a suport weapons guy goes down you know how to take up his weapon and use it were as the states your just a riflemen or so i have been told by someone who is currently inlisted

  • @souldragon121 no in basic your trained how to shoot every machine gun like the m16 m4a1 and support weapons. in the states you have ti qualify for every weapon but they give you the weapon you most suited with. our military is one of the best trained and most advanced because we took down the 2nd largest army in the world in a week.

  • @xdragonslayerxxx anyone can take down a large army with a fucking nuke.....

  • @souldragon121 pretty sure we didn't nuke Iraq during the gulf war......

  • @kalphite1 Hey FUCK OFF America is pussy and did you forget about the war of 1812 Canada raped you up the ass, did yo know that we burned down the original white house and Thomas Jefferson said that taking over Canada was simpily a matter of marching

  • @TheGermanempirerocks A Canadian with a user name TheGermanempirerocks? The Germans fucked up having an empire twice. Get over it.

  • germans: WTF!??! o.o

  • Anytime me or my brother see someone run through enemy lines, be it in a movie, video game, etc., we refer to it as "pulling a Speirs"

  • @Guildeburn Thats awesome! Your comment definitely deserves more thumbs up

  • Chuck norris WWII style

  • You know what he said to his men before he took off for that run?

    BRB LOL

  • Hooah

  • HAHAHA SPEARS IS THE BEST ONE!!! :D I LOVE HIM!!! BUT WHY HE DONT KILL THE ATTELERIE PEOPLE AND THE ORTHERS WHILE HE IS RUNNING?

  • @shinobi1412 do you know how difficult it is to shoot and actually sprint at the same time? Especially running with a thompson. The kickback would slow him down a bit and most likely make him an easier target. That and he would be wasting his ammo...

  • @shinobi1412

Because he couldn't, had he stopped on his way he would've been killed, probably.

In that situation a single second would've made a difference, if he had stopped on his way he would've been shot and killed, he just ran as fast as he could because he had to get to the other folks, no matter what.

  • who fears spiers?

  • haha "wait here"

  • Speirs would beat chuck norris ass!

  • @odbcodbc Who is Chuck Norris? The son of speirs? hahaha :D

  • that guy udes lightweigh and marathon...

  • just want to say Tom hanks thinks he can rewrite history because their was a british airbourn to not just americans in normandy and D-day uggggggghhhhhh

  • @llosey He's demonstrating the bonds formed by American Soldiers, if he were to include the British it would be a whole new film. I mean the other allied powers included France, Italy, Mexico, Canada, France, Denmark, Belgium, Netherlands, Norway and Greece.

  • @ShutUpYourWrong and did I mention France?

  • @ShutUpYourWrong and wtf exactly did the french do other than roll over?

  • @lukeslonergan they can also stay, play fetch, and give paw

  • @ShutUpYourWrong the british played a major part and their really isnt a movie demonstrating that and yeah they could have showed the two imo

  • @ShutUpYourWrong Also Brazil!

  • @ShutUpYourWrong and you forgot POLAND

  • @Trooper725 DAMN HOW COULD I!? I'm Polish =)

  • @llosey Im sure no one will forget the british 1st airborne in arnhem especially.

  • @beohel Caen too :D

  • @llosey first off.... learn how to spell Airborne... second... the series is solely about Easy Company.. not even the rest of the American airborne units.. thirdly.. there are a few scenes with British units

  • @llosey What are you talking about there were brits loading plains at the same time as us yanks. Remember the the brit dressed like a german showing a yank his luger. I don't know why you british think we believe we won the war by ourself. We know if it wasent for you guys standing up to hitler and the nazi when no one else would! You over there in England may dislike us but we like and respect you and look at us as our only true friend....God save the Queen

  • @llosey he is doing it on the american not the british you pussy ass bitch

  • @llosey Spielberg and Hanks aren't rewriting history. "Band Of Brothers" was based on a book that followed one company of American Paratroopers from their training in the U.S. until the end of the war in Europe. The book and mini-series intentionally focused on a small group of that company so we could get to know and care about the soldiers. The intention of both was to tell the war on a very personal level.

  • @llosey Dont forget about the CANADIAN 1st parachute battalion jeez idiots

  • steve rogers??

  • steve rogers??

  • Hahahaha The Germans Were in Shock LMAO

  • POW!!! du du du duuuuuuuuuuu!!!!!!

  • German "WTF" moment.

  • They just don't make LTs like they used to...

  • Marathon pro FTW!! :D

  • Its the best scene in the whole series and the music just fits in man its awesome!

  • Leadership is leading by example...

  • Amazing. This makes me want to get up and just run.

  • they should have had it where he was getting shot multiple times while hes running and just ignores it all and keeps on going

  • that guy has got balls

  • man, i havent watched the series in a while. I'm getting a CRAVING to fucking watch this! so inspiring for me, especially because i love war films, etc.

  • The soundtrack from 0:40 to 1:25 fits the moment so well. It's shame I can't find it though

  • Oh and those german POW's he gave ciggas then mowed them down with a thompson yeeah it was more like 50-60 in real life. SIck cunt FUCK the German.

  • Lt Speirs was a highy regarded and feared soldier many germans have heard of him, he actually ran through an enemy force of 300-400 men with artillery , mortars and machine gun fire all around him ...he did not care he ran straight through the german lines the german did not understand how someone can be that crazy....he linked up with I company and forced the surrender of all remaining german troops in the town of FOY.

  • duh....its obvious why they didnt shoot him.....HE'S A SPY!!!!!!

  • Which episode is this? Can't remember...TIA

  • @flybywire09

    Episode 7: The Breaking Point

Where they assault the village of Foy

  • @meesromijn Thanks, couldn't remember for the life of me. BoB FTW!

  • @flybywire09 No problem

Ye, I just finished watching the last episode of it. Man this is the best (mini)serie I've ever seen.

  • Guys, John Basilone recieved the medal of honor for his duties on Guadalcanal. But can someone explain me why this hero didn't get one?

  • @magicskb The US govt needed a hero in the Pacific Theatre to sell bonds in support of the war. Guadalcanal was the first offensive operation of the US in the Pacific. The battle for Guadalcanal was played up well by the propaganda machine for the purpose and they found John Basilone who was a true hero and the pride of the Marines in the Pacific for his part in the battle for Guadalcanal. They European theatre already have at least one in the person of Audi Murphy by the time Spiers did this.

  • i was really scared you would see bullets exiting his chest when it shows him running back cuz when that camera shot is used , that is usually what happens

  • I love this, prolly watched it 5 or 6 times...but I like the pacific too, just finished watching it today, last 3 episodes are fantastic

  • @damodgc I like how 'The Pacific' focuses on life after the war.

  • i agree - best scene - and if u havnt see it - go buy it and watch it 2nite

  • Spiers said he was impressed when he rounded a corner and saw an 88 pointed at him.

How many medals has this guy won? He needs more.

  • Thats just the definition of Selfless Service right there going above and beyond the call of duty

  • Is the pacific a book?I read band of brothers it's awesome and an easy read too.

  • @Messmaster08 yes it is a book my dad just finished reading it like a month ago. The Pacific by Hugh Ambrose

  • Comment removed

  • whats really sad is that after he came home from the war, his wife left him.

  • Does anyone know what is the short song name when speirs was running back to his company after finding I company?

  • 0:50 the german soilder said it " Look that guy , that guy who runs there that a-hole " xD

  • he must have marathon pro and lightweight pro on

  • this was the best scene. Spears was practically pushing the germans out of his way just to get there and back

  • Just running out there was astounding........but COMING BACK!! That is unfathomable......just defies logic. One brave man right there

  • Superb series, this is one of my favourite parts, Speirs had some serious balls doing what he did.

Prefer BoB to the Pacific any day, i think largely because it only focuses on one company. In the Pacific it jumps around between three key characters, who wernt in the same unit, and in some cases not fighting in the same battles.

That said both series are awesome!

  • Speirs is badass. This show is 458091235 times better than "the pacific", gayass series

  • @rapi321 while I do agree this is better, I don't think these are the types of series you want to compare side by side. Each tells a unique story, but fact is I find the European invasion more intriguing. But anything done by Tom Hanks and Steven Speilberg is just awesome.

  • @ShutUpYourWrong Band of Brothers stuck to the actual story of Easy Company, The Pacific, while covering three different main books and few other stories, did not in the slightest. They kept the character names and locations, but everything else was not even close.

  • @CommanderofUNSC777 I read Eugene Sledge's and Robert Leckie's books, the series did take quite a few liberties, but there was still a lot of truth in it!

  • @ShutUpYourWrong i like your username xD

  • @ShutUpYourWrong It's a bit unfair but it's true. European war is more glamorous; even nazi uniforms and attitude is more cinematographic. But Pacific war was even more appaling. Japanese were more fanatical than germans. I know in Europe went through the cold in Stalingrado but americans soldiers had to deal with mosquitoes, malaria, monsoon rain. It's unfair but is more glamorous Hitler by Eiffel Tower than a horrible piece of jungle. Besides, Band of Brothers is better made.

  • @rapi321 Opinions are opinions, I like this one more also, but the Pacific wasn't a "gayass" series either. Any WW2 fanatic with a sane mind wouldn't say immature stupid shit like that.

  • @reddot44 Well i'm not a WW2 fanatic. The pacific is still a gayass series.

  • @rapi321 Then your opinion is void on any WW2 mini-series.

  • @reddot44 says who? says you? As you said, opinions are opinions, so why don't you mind your own business? The pacific is a gayass seiries. Period. Just leave it at that.

  • @rapi321 And my opinion is that his opinion is void.

  • @reddot44 Yes, his opinion is void, whoever that is. Fine.

  • @rapi321 Dude, shut the fuck up. You're getting nowhere. I'm thankful we have millions of rational human beings to compensate for you.

  • @spawnofwheezedog I already did you dumb fuck. In case you haven't noticed, my last post was almost 4 weeks ago. And now here's another warfreak who wants to argue. Would you just mind your own business? Seriously.

  • @rapi321 Try deleting your comments, then! Obviously you don't want to hear from anyone about it, so don't even leave them open to a reply! Bye!

  • @rapi321 your calling the pacific gay? thats based on a true story you know

  • @rapi321 The only reason why we find this the best, its probably cause we follow the same group of friend all serie long and for me I prefer the US campain in EUROPE.

  • @rapi321 i agree. the pacific was too nationalized. the series viewed u.s. as god and japan as shit. at least in band of brothers they werent so patriotic and the film didnt look like a chick flick. band of brothers had lots of honor and no botching and whining like the soldiers in the pacific movie were doing. i think the actors failed in the pacific and i didnt see the courage and determination in them as i did in band of brothers. each soldier had a character in pacific no one did

  • @MaxFlared heck yes. I'm not moved by the pacific at all, it was so... dramatic to the point it was corny as hell. They were practically sulking and feeling sorry in every episode. And the fight scenes were lame. They made japanese look stupid.

  • @rapi321 glad I'm not the only one who thinks so too.

  • WHAT BALLS

  • i agree this is a great scene, but i disagree this is not the best scene, this show is just chokers full of good scene's its impossible to say which is the best, i have no favourite, the whole show is just incredible.

  • I get chills every time I see this, unbelievable!

  • best series ever

  • Badassery defined

  • 1:02 What the name of this Soundtrack?

  • Matthew Settle's scare the SHIT out of me playing Speirs. He is creeping me out.

  • ronald spiers what a legend!

  • i nvr seen da movie can sum1 explain wut was happening in this scene?

  • @RelleRoulette 1st off, gotta watch the series, its incredible. but yea, ronald speirs (crazy dude) just lead an assult into the city, Foy. the germans were going to fall back and escape unless easy company (the american division making the assault) could connect with I company on the other side of town. so speirs ran straight through the enemy, linked up with I company, and then ran back through the germans back to easy company

  • @ShutUpYourWrong what makes it even more awesome is that this actualy happened. not a great historical fiction movie like saving private ryan

  • @ShutUpYourWrong well of course hes speirs

  • @RelleRoulette WORLD WAR 2?!LOL

  • What part is this from? Leave an aswer!! :)

  • @demeandr121 im near positive its 7 =)

  • @demeandr121

    part 7 The.Breaking.Point

  • @demeandr121 This is from part 7, The Breaking Point

  • haha crazy :L

  • the germans were like: wtf?

  • @diamondcoatedcheerio

What... the... **** is that a American

    Yeah I think so

Did he really just run right past a tank Erwin?

Yeah.... Wait! is he coming back? (Runs by)

    Holllllllllllllllly crap

  • Krypto not here leave it out

  • Ball all around !!!

  • Speirs it´s the man

  • he obviously had marathon lightweight in his setup, no doubt

  • Don't forget that on the first day of Spears's drop he slaughtered a dozen German prisoners .

  • Screw you Rambo!

  • i got to try this next time i play call of duty.. maybe the other team wont believe what they're seeing

  • @theydidntnameme dont bother, there's always some douche with a grenade launcher

  • Love that scene.

  • Way too epic

  • His name is spelled SPEIRS.

  • @leejae im on it! thanks

  • I love spears. He is so TANK XD!!!

  • I wish I had balls like that.

  • Spears is one of the FEW using actual period correct weapons and gear. I LOVE this series about the BEST of men at the worst of times. I watch the DVD set 3-4 times a year. Too bad they most had, including Winters, using Korean War period Garands instead of the correct 44-45 single slot/lockbar Garands that these true heroes actually carried. it's just so sad to see the battles of 44-45 being fought with 51-55 rifles. Especially since Spielberg and Hanks had the money to hire better researchers.

  • Best series of all time!!!

  • So luky

  • i know you're gonna think this is spam but i have that vid on my channel

  • oh man nice uploads

  • maybe i will upload that. the whole series is just awesome. scene it probably around 10 times. cant w8 for The Pacific to come out

  • i would like to know whats the title of the music thas is played?

  • i have no idea, sorry haha

  • The message in this scene: Spears was born for shit like this! LOL

  • true story to thats unfuckingbelievalbe

  • awesome one hellova guy

  • yup. idk i always liked this scene

  • He killed dozens of German P.O.W's, I wouldn't call him a great guy. He sure is a badass though.

  • i remember this lol
